Last week wasn't a good week points-wise but I maintained so I'll take it. - What's your holiday eating game plan? (Getting rid of leftovers, taking a walk after, etc?) We buy our meal from a local grocery store so we don't usually have a lot of leftovers. However, I always send a nice plate of food home with my mother. - What are you putting on your plate because it's worth it? Turkey, stuffing, maybe sweet potatoes & definitely pumpkin pie. I don't care about mashed potatoes or cranberry sauce. -What are you having for dinner? Chicken Sausage & Peppers Macaroni Casserole (8PP for 1 serving/ casserole makes 8 servings). I love this recipe because you don't have to precook the pasta. www.skinnytaste.com/chicken-sausage-and-peppers-macaroni/

I am hanging out about the same on the scale...give or take a pound. If I were at maintenance that would be wonderful
- What's your holiday eating game plan?
No Thanksgiving Feast here - no children at home and hubby doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving... - What are you putting on your plate because it's worth it? Turkey, stuffing, maybe sweet potatoes & definitely pumpkin pie. I don't care about mashed potatoes or cranberry sauce.
If I were doing this and since I am moving more and more toward vegan eating I would probably look forward to:
* mashed potatoes * sweet potatoes * green bean casserole * wild rice casserole * salad * waldorf or fruit salad
* whatever else on the table was vegan or perhaps vegetarian -What are you having for dinner?
Not sure...last night it was leftovers...not sure what tonight will be. I don't plan but have food in the house to make meals from.

Hey all! Life has been insanely busy! Finally getting a little time on the boards. - What's your holiday eating game plan? (Getting rid of leftovers, taking a walk after, etc?) Well, it's pretty easy because I'm in charge. We're staying home, just the four of us, and I'm really excited about doing my first Thanksgiving with just our little family. I think a walk that day is a great idea. We could probably do it while the turkey is in the oven. I'm also going to be really mindful of how many points I'm using so I can save some weeklies for the occasion. - What are you putting on your plate because it's worth it? I think I'm going to have turkey (5PP), mashed potatoes with gravy (4PP), a roll (2PP), and some veggies (0 PP). Also I might make an apple pie from scratch. I would definitely have a piece of that (12PP-14PP). I'm going to skip any drinks because I can have those anytime, and I'm not making a ton because it's just us. Plus I think we might be invited next door in the afternoon so I want to leave some weeklies for that. - What are you having for dinner? Spaghetti with sauce (8PP) and Texas toast garlic bread (3PP)

**What's your holiday eating game plan? (Getting rid of leftovers, taking a walk after, etc?)
I look over all the food that is offered and then choose my favorites, usually dishes like stuffing that I only get a couple times per year. I take a only tablespoon or two of each because we have so many different dishes this will fill a plate.
**What are you putting on your plate because it's worth it?
Stuffing, Sweet potatoes with pecans, green bean bundles, coleslaw (my mom's recipe), pecan pie, dirt cake
**This Week’s Routine: After each meal and snack, decide how many PointsPlus values you’ll use for your next meal or snack
I usually plan my meals & snacks for the day first thing in the morning.
**This Week’s GHG: Water: Drink at least six 8-ounce glasses of water each day.
I usually meet this requirement with no problem, but also count coffee and tea.
**Meal of the Week: Dinner What are you having for dinner?
Tonight's dinner is pork chops and gravy, brown rice, cabbage slaw with vinaigrette dressing and green peas. It is my large meal of the day.

- What's your holiday eating game plan? (Getting rid of leftovers, taking a walk after, etc?) This year we are scaling things back a bit as far as dinner is concerned. My mom fell twice this year and recently had shoulder replacement surgery. She usually does most of the cooking with my sister and I providing some sides or dessert. So, this year the plan is turkey (I get a free small one from work), mashed potatoes (I will probably not eat any), filling/stuffing (mine has no onions or celery - basically bread with poultry seasoning - Lol), a vegetable (probably steamed broccoli), homemade cranberry relish and pumpkin pie with cool whip. There will also be gravy, but I do not eat gravy. I am hoping we have some dark meat turkey left over. If not, I will buy myself some legs and make them for later.
- What are you putting on your plate because it's worth it? Dark meat turkey and pumpkin pie. I can take or leave the rest of the meal.
This Week’s Routine: After each meal and snack, decide how many PointsPlus values you’ll use for your next meal or snack - I usually either pre-track the night before or after eating breakfast.
This Week’s GHG: Water: Drink at least six 8-ounce glasses of water each day. I struggle drinking water or anything cold when it gets colder outside. I have been leaving my water bottle sit for a little while on the counter before drinking. That has helped.
Meal of the Week: Dinner
What are you having for dinner? I had Purdue Perfect portions Italian chicken, canned red beets and a sweet potato with a Weight Watchers snack size fudge bar for dessert.

limefan, I don't care for cold beverages in the winter either. There are lots of herbal teas and you can always heat lemonade or any of the Crystal Lite flavors. I love warm lemonade or lemon water in winter. Light cocoa mix is another option, but does have PP.

I have not tried that. Not sure how I would like drinking warmed up water.

I have been leaving my water bottle sit for a little while on the counter before drinking. That has helped. I never drink just water. I prefer hot so a lot of my liquid comes in the form of decaf coffee. I also don't chill my water. I drink it at room temperature. The only time I drink cold water is in the summer. I also drink milk or hot chocolate & count the points.
