Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning
After I went grocery shopping yesterday my car started acting up, I made a turn, drove a bit, and it felt like I was losing power. I pulled into a nearby lot and thought it might be a tire or something, but all looked ok. Made another turn, drove a bit and it happened again. I was close to home so I drove it again and called one of the advisors. He told me it should ok to drive to work, set up an appointment to take a look on Thursday, it’s main shop and they were totally booked today. Didn’t happen again, but I’m only driving to work and back today and tomorrow. I’ll take it in at 7 on Thursday and have the shuttle take home, then pick me up for work. Hopefully it’s nothing to major, but I am still under warranty. Always something ...
Bought my rotisserie chicken, had a nice lunch and made chicken soup for the evenings at work. Will freeze some of that chicken to use next week. They are such a good buy.
Ruth - I’ll be listening to the Sabres game at work tonight ... the Wild are in town.
Dottie - that egg tower sounds nice. How many chickens?
Just puttering around today. I have some laundry to do. Nice and sunny today.
See ya tomorrow

Good morning everyone. Woke to snow on the ground today. It’s after 9:00 and it’s just starting to lighten up some outside. Very overcast and grey and dreary. Stan & Maggie still sleeping but I’ll get them both up soon. I’m guessing Stan is still in AFib and he’s so tired. He sent me an article about AFib and fatigue last night. One of the things it talked about (and he didn’t like) was AFib and sleep apnea. He’s been snoring up a storm and I told him he should get his CPAP out and use it again. He is so not a fan and didn't like me saying it. His response is always, “well you need it too”!!! Maybe, but I don’t have AFib and I’m not the one who is sick right now. He puts up roadblocks of he might need to have the machine looked at, it’s old (not compared to mine it’s not), etc. Tomorrow we see the NP! Thankfully!!!
I listed a piece of baby equipment yesterday and it sold within 5 minutes. That’s always nice. I have a ton of boxes of stuff in the dining room that I’ve listed (and other stuff that’s piled up there) and those all go downstairs today. Then I need to work on sorting that out. Downstairs has just become a dumping ground for all this stuff.
I have to call about my investment payout. I’m over 70-1/2 and they were to make a payout on my birthday (my first payout) and didn’t, so I have to call because it has to be done before the end of the year. Always something.
Joy, hope it’s nothing big with your car. Stan was so disgusted yesterday. Took the Ascent in for an oil change and they insisted on doing the 15,000 miles checkup - to the tune of well over $500!! How do people afford that all the time. Will be watching a lot of the Wild/Sabres game tonight. Sounds like both teams are struggling.
Went and got my license yesterday afternoon. Thought I wanted the enhanced one but the gal talked me out of it. Said as long as I have a passport I don’t need it, and that there are disadvantages to having it. And then for a minute she said I couldn’t get the Real ID one because I was one day past my birthday and mine had expired (even tho you have 30 days to renew). But the other gal working told her with the ID stuff I had brought I could still get it! Thank goodness. So I saved about $20 and am good to go.
Dottie, one of DS Carol’s sons has chickens. He has built coops in his backyard and gets eggs and all. I should suggest that egg stacker to her for a gift for him for Christmas.
Ok, time to get Stan & Maggie up an get their (and my) day going. Phone calls & cleaning are calling me!!!

Joyce, hope your car is okay. I hate when I’m having a problem and bring it in for service and the service dept. can’t duplicate the problem and they act like I made it up. I’m sure your car will be in good hands at your service dept.
Ruth, so happy to hear that Stan finally has his appointment tomorrow. Hope they can help him. Bill uses his cpap every night and sometimes when he takes a nap. It has definitely helped him. Great job on the quick sale of the baby item. I signed up for automatic distribution from my investment plan but had to follow up with them also. I actually got the distribution when I was supposed to but kept getting notices that I needed to take the distribution. Finally got it straightened out.
DS#2 only has 4 chickens right now. He had a few more during the summer but one died and one disappeared. When he had 6 chickens he would get 5 or 6 eggs daily, the chickens don’t lay as many eggs during the colder weather. When I got the enhanced license there wasn’t any additional charge for it, same as just renewing my license. Did the clerk say what the disadvantage is of having the enhanced license? I plan on using some of the left over rotisserie chicken for dinner tonight, just not sure how.
