WOW Carole....I'm amazed the bank offers an HSA and FSA depending on what plan you choose?? I get it, always a scary thing to change insurance....we are taking the "leap of faith" that we will remain healthy since we opted for the $3000 deductible instead of the $500 but we will save almost $900/year and even the out of pocket we know we will have to pay we will have the FSA to cover and still be about $700 to the good! Does your FSA have a $500 rollover for anything not used?? We never did have that but the past 3-4 years that was an added benefit.....makes you a little less nervous about what you put in and what is left....
I did bump our FSA up next year for Jason's crown and such....that will take about $800 of it IF he doesn't have to get the implant. I decided to plan for the "cheap" version so we wouldn't end up with a lot left over....if I planned for the implant and then the cheap fix worked we would have WAY more than $500 left at the end of the year so didn't want that! Alex, our benefits coordinator, actually told me that I could change right up until 12/31 if I had to....she's great! But after Jason and I talked he realized that after his root canal, the crown would be all out of pocket and not practical to try to get it done in 2019. Need to take advantage of the insurance I have paid for all these years.....at least by doing it on 1/2/20....insurance will pay the whole 50%.....after the bill Jason came home with today....he's pretty much maxed out 2019 benefits.
Oh no Jo...not a torn rotator cuff??? Hopefully it's a small tear and with heal itself. Jason had a small tear and with PT his did heal and is doing great now....he is religious about doing his stretches and exercises every day! Heck, I'm feeling out of the WW loop now that you hopped on too....right now it's just not what I need....I'm pretty much following the "old plan" and not gaining and even losing a little....I'm convinced my body has dictated that 12 years after reaching goal I need 10-12 extra pounds....I've been holding at this same weight for well over a year now and I can "live here"....
Christine...WTG getting up early for the yoga video!! YAY for some WP left....I remember the first weeks of WW, finding the balance and right combination to get through the week without going WAY over the WP is tough...you've got this!!
