Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good afternoon to both of you. Joyce, I hope you are just having a busy morning. Ruth, I hope the procedure helps Stan. Did the NP say why they are waiting till March to do the next procedure? Let us know hwen you have time how Stan is doing. I guess all states are different about the new license. There are Public Service Announcements on the TV and radio about getting the enhanced license. I looked at my license, there is a star in one corner which indicates that I brought in the proper paperwork to get the enhanced license. There is also a heart, which means I’m an organ donor and it also indicates that I wear glasses for driving. We can use our passport but keep that in our safe deposit box except when we travel out of country.
Nice day here today. I was out this morning getting a lot of my running around done while the sun was shining. I made homemade chicken noodle soup from the chicken broth I made earlier this week, it tasted good and there is enough left for another lunch.

Good afternoon,
Crazy morning. Took my car to the dealership at 7 and shuttled home. Going to get picked up at 2:30 and taken to work. Hoping the diagnostic tests can figure out what happened.
Stated to work on the kitchen reorganizing that I started a while back. I bought shelf liner to put on the back end of my table so that I can move my microwave there. I’m putting a log on it to see how often I use it, other than as a timer. I honestly can’t remember the last time I reheated anything in it. I’m thinking of getting rid of it this summer. In its place on the microwave cart, I’m putting my new air fryer and coffee pot. That will free up some counter space. I’d like to keep the counters relatively uncluttered. I’m putting the toaster on the shelf in the cart.
I bought a Skinnytaste Air Fryer cookbook that has some good sounding recipes in it. I’m going to cook more during the winter months.
WW meeting was good. I’m down another 3#, great loss seeing that I gained the week before - I’m sure my tummy issues helped with the loss too. I got my 10# charm, total loss now is 10.4. The new plan seems to be agreeing with me.
Ruth - praying for a good outcome for Stan’s procedure.
Dottie - I’m finishing up the chicken soup I made on Monday today. I enjoyed it a lot and will probably make some again after Thanksgiving.
Enjoy your day

Good afternoon all. Home and getting some things done before we head out to tonight’s hockey game. We were given tickets for our birthdays and since Stan feels pretty good, we’re going. I’ll have to drive in the dark (he can’t drive for 24 hours) but if we take it slow and easy should be ok. The procedure went well and he is out of AFib. They hope he stays this way for quite a while. Only time will tell. But he feels so much better already with his heart rate in the 60’s rather than 130-140 a lot of the time. Have a good evening everyone. And thank you all so much for the prayers. Very much appreciated.
Dottie, they use the hospital’s anesthesia dept. for the surgery, and they have to coordinate their schedule with the cardiac surgeon’s schedule, every time they need to do one, and they are apparently out into March for openings. They need to hire their own anesthesiologist but that’s not gonna happen anytime soon. But it is frustrating. And Stan’s thyroid is no acting up so he’s hyperthyroid. But they said the one medicine used long term can do that. So back to his primary doctor next week to see where it’s at then. Always something!
It is truly weird how each state is different regarding driver’s licenses. MN is the last state in the US to push for the enhanced or the Real ID licenses. Our whole system is wonky!!! And that license is $20 more than the others. We normally don’t use our passports for travel to Hawaii, but we will now. And then lock them up in the box in the condo and then put them back at the bank until the next trip. And I wonder a little about the gal who talked me out of it. Not sure she knew what she was talking about. She said the enhanced was only good for land travel to Canada & Mexico. What I read online said land and sea travel to Mexico & the Caribbean. Like the USVI’s or Cozumel Mexico. But as I said, our whole system is so messed up....... Joy, what does your state do for the enhanced license? Or the Real ID?
Joy, WTG on that 3 lb. loss. Nice to see that first 10 lbs. gone!!! Keep up the good work. I often think we have too much stuff on the counter. And I keep getting rid of stuff, but there’s always more. I have a charity pick up tomorrow but this one mostly wants clothes and all. I have a black garbage bag full and then a box full too. Not getting as much gone as I’d like, but one of the others takes books and things and I’ll schedule them early in December and get more gone.
ok, need to keep going on laundry while Stan naps in his chair. Hopefully he can get some rest. We’ll leave in an hour and a half or so. Gates open at 6 and it’ll take us 45 min or so to get down there and get parked.
More tomorrow.
