Good morning - TGIF! Actually looking forward to the day today - as I am pretty well caught up with everything (except settlement)- so I should be able to tackle the settlement today! YAY! I got one more day done yesterday... so today I will concentrate on that- barring any other issues that arise! Feeling hopeful!
My WW journey is not as "hopeful"! LOL Not sure what the scale will say today - due to being NEGATIVE in my WP! Oh well, my deal with myself was to track - no matter what - just to see how badly I do Eat! UGH It's not pretty! The good news is, I should be able to improve fairly easy! LOL I am not much of a dessert eater even on TG, so IF I can avoid the snack table - I can get through the day relatively unscathed! WHY did I choose Friday for WI day??? WHAT was I thinking???
Let me see if I can catch up this morning ♥

Back to Wednesday....
Sue: Yes, traffic in Boston (anywhere really) is different at 7 than it is at 5 AM! YAY for being able to check in with Hannah and Shea! Love that you will get Christmas with them next year ♥Those boys will be off the wall with excitement!
Lisa: UGH Dishes... mine have "collected" again - maybe tonight I will get them out of the way so I don't have to face them Sunday morning!! Yikes, I wasn't aware of Greg's tumor! Glad it all worked out!
HA! Yeah, I haven't gotten to my Christmas stuff either... wanted to get a jump on it - but guess that's not happening!
Gabrielle: So sorry about the power stuff... glad you gave yourself a break in favor of sleep {{{hugs}}}
LOL Starting on the phone was more of a challenge but adding the picture was a breeze!!
Thank you - at this point I can't tell if Matthew is grateful for the support - or wants me to stop smothering!
Sorry Max is "homesick"... good ideas to get a roommate and/or pet sit!! Nice way to meet the neighbors too!!
Jenny: Phew! Such GREAT news for Kerry and you {{{{hugs}}}} OMGosh - yes, so good they found that blockage while it was Stage 1! Glad he is home resting... SO JEALOUS - only 2 months til he retires?? Ohhh does he have any plans after he retires? Will he have things to do at home to keep him busy??
YAY for having vacation time coming up... nice way to round out the holidays!
Christine: WOO HOO for getting into the WW stuff - and researching so much!! Hope you can find a gentle yoga/stretch that won't impact your knee so much! {{{hugs}}}
Lisa: YAY for taking a walk and enjoying the warmer temps!

Good Morning and yes, HAPPY Friday Everyone!! Today I have a 1:30 appointment with Pain Management - DH is so skeptical about my going but I reminded him I did well when they gave me the cortisone shots in my back 2 years ago - the ONLY thing that allowed me to walk and breathe due to awful bulging discs....today I am hoping to learn some answers as to why the top of my left foot throbs in pain from walking even when wearing good sneakers...I think that's why my TKR is so swollen - I catch myself limping or not climbing the stairs right. And trust me, our new building has a LOT of stairs - I'm averaging 8,000 steps per day compared to formerly struggling to get over 3,000! I Tracked everything yesterday. Another ugly day. Starting to feel that "I'm restricted being on a diet" so I am suddenly craving foods! WTH?? It's a mind game. I know. So I am packing more 0 points foods to stop this nonsense. HB egg, carrots, apple slices, all seem to fill the lunch box with my 0 point Chicken/Pepper/Bean soup I made last Sunday. I did get the Nonfat Greek Yogurt to replace sour cream. Tastes the same to me so that's a keeper.

Think 1st Thursday went well... not "perfect" but tracked and did OK with water. I'll call it a win! Especially with work going so smoothly - I am feeling pretty good about today and a few hours tomorrow!
Jo: YAY for a new PT person... glad you liked her. OUCH! Hopefully the tear is small enough to repair itself with PT and CARE. Can you schedule your upcoming PT with this one that you lie so much??
YAY for re-joining with us!! LOL Funny how it sets off like that! I am BLUE... but if it isn't working so well for me - I will try the purple. I think! But I have to give BLUE a good shot before I switch anything!
Matt is getting some kind of chemo... he started with three anti-nausea meds in his IV, then 1 chemo, then a 2nd... then the third he brought home! Since he already sleeps with a CPAP machine, he was fine with the added tubing of the IV in his port. He went back yesterday for a White Blood Cell BOOSTER or some such thing... as well as they pulled the needle and showed him how to flush it and do it for the future!
Insurance APPROVED the self-injecting "day after" shit, so he will come home next time with TWO things "attached"! But at least he can come home and not have to find a place to stay every time!
Christine: YAY for WP leftover! LOL When is your WI day?? Hoping yesterday was a better day - more "on" than "off"?
Sue: No worries - glad you had a relaxing but productive night! Umm, yeah, WOW to thinking Jason's root canal would be $800 and now it's only $200.!? I bumped up my FSA for next year... would rather have the extra $50. each paycheck to "play with" but know it is better to have it pre-taxed for the medical bills, which as we get older will only INCREASE I am sure!! If we have any to roll-over to 2021, well then we get a bonus I guess!!
Lisa: We are warmer today... already 36 out there! LOL Funny when I think THAT is "warm"! A good sore... glad it isn't bothering Greg's ankle!
Thank you - YES... I have rearranged my remaining days off - I will be going to Boston - unless they won't let me in the car! LOL I just want to be there "in case"... chances are he WILL remain FINE each time - but IF not, then we need a Plan B! Otherwise it will be a VERY LONG DRIVE to go into Boston to retrieve them!! We will discuss it this week - he may be joining us for pie baking depending on how he is feeling!
Well you are one up on me GF... I DON'T think long or hard enough - I pour the wine and then track it... need to re-think that process!!
Gabrielle: YAY for no power outages!! Sorry it had already disrupted scheduling, but YAY to have power no matter when they made the decision! WOO HOO for a GOOD run on the TM too! LOL Who ever KNOWS WHY those chocolates sneak their way into our lives! I had a few mini-bars yesterday! Wish people would NOT bring crap into work any more!!
Ummm, no... WP didn't cover that dessert! Oh well - that's life, right?? Oh yes the hotel was very nice and a good breakfast... egg white/veggie omelets, regular ones as well... both pork and turkey sausage... fresh fruit... I stayed away from the pastries and pancakes and bagels! My morning snack was fresh fruit and those darned nuts! Must start LOOKING at the lists of FREE Snacks... I need to research like our Christine does!! I did also have my two mugs of decaf green tea - so all in all, those almonds were not the worst choice I could have had! LOL
OH I hope your "social thing" didn't go too late! Would be nice to be home at an earlier time for a change!
Jo: Yes, next time I will plan for cold weather and bring my walking shoes!! I am not sure who will go with me, if anyone... but hoping I can have a companion. Yes... we have very little left in our FSA this year... but I had a LOT of things going on this year! Hoping next year is "cheaper" so we can both get new glasses!
Sue: Oh no, Matt won't ever go alone... he is just thinking he & Patti can go, and he can drive. Last I knew Patti did not want to drive... so if they are there and he can't...
Thanks... I guess I should be backing off, but right now I can't! I realize after the new year he may need "more"... but i Have the time NOW, and will have what time I need then as well... it's just so hard - to NOT be there!!
Yes, the HSA is offered with a certain insurance, saves a little $ each paycheck but I can't deal with the higher deductibles! Yes we can rollover $500., so I think we'll be fine... everything "insurance" makes me nervous! Now is not the time to change anything... we are barely used to this insurance... this was the first year we had to deal with deductibles!
So glad you have it all figured out for your 2019-2020 expenses!

Mornin' Christine... YAY An appointment to get the pain under control! WOW to your added steps this year! Sorry they are painful... but good for you DOIN' IT! My "goal" this weekend is to SHOP according to my WW lists! LOL I need those 0 point snacks... and I will make a butternut soup - never did get it done last week. May give some to Matthew - he is eating a lot of soup these days! I'll have to take time to add the recipe to my WW app and see just how good/bad it is... maybe I should do that BEFORE I make it! LOL I can't imagine it will be very high - it's veggies and broth! Hoping to make a menu that can WORK for the TG week of pie baking!! OK - need to get moving here...not going to be there "on time" but I will only take a short lunch anyway - so - whatever! Make it a GREAT T.G.I.F. everyone Who has fun plans this weekend? ?? ♥hugs♥

MMS ladies....will head to Walmart tonight after work so I don't have to head back into town tomorrow. Will head to BJs on Saturday and that is the opposite direct and since I need fridge items at both places I don't want to go to one and leave the stuff in the car w/o a cooler.....plan to pick up all the baking stuff needed for this week and for Christmas.
Need to see what I can rustle up for breakfast at work...it's Friday so will order out as usual. Not sure where but will make my best choice possible. The scale is still holding and actually down .2#, not much but after a week of pasta and lots of other carbs since our Dinner for 5 from La Cucina....I'll take it!
time to dry my hair and get this day started....

Good morning! Like everyone else, TGIF! My group at work were anxiously awaiting a report yesterday that will show if a lot of our record cleaning work is working. I hope it is but hope that they don't change their minds about keeping me up to Christmas.
Last night church group was only 3 of us but went ok. But next time is pizza so that will be challenging?
Gotta get moving. BBL. Have a great Friday!

Good morning!
DOR from the TM today...considered squeezing in some kind of run, but decided against it since I am back to longer runs on Saturdays (considered "recovered" from the marathon). I need to find something else on Fridays that doesn't pound but works core, etc. Maybe will look closer at that this weekend. Would love to find something on Netflix or something. The class at the gym that I tried has running as part of it so trying to avoid that...we will see! Cold today (for us) -- 38 degrees. It is supposed to rain next week --at last!!
Carole: Yay for another good day! Hey, there have been some people at the WW meeting that were significantly in the negative on weeklies and still had a small loss---always emphasizing the importance of tracking. Remember small steps, one at a time--you have done great with your tracking! Hope that you make a significant dent in the settlement today and can start your weekend off knowing that. I love that they now allow patients to do some things in the comfort of their own home..SO much better. Of course you want to go...I would too! Matt will let you know what he needs---I think that you are wise to plan on it. It's not like it's every day or something. Yes, Friday would be a tough WI day..I used to love Saturday mornings and would still do that if I wasn't running then. I think that it was a great way to approach the weekend. Maybe Fridays will be the same way? Hope that you have a great day and that Matt can join you all for your annual pie-baking---how many are you all making this year?
Sue: So, how did Jason's appt go? Did they stick with the $200? We have a deductible and an initial minimum that we need to meet. I always meet the minimum as my labs for the ongoing thyroid monitoring are very expensive. DH doesn't always meet it. I like the coverage of my plan though so we will stick with it--super expensive though and it is an 80% plan. I do have to say that my dental insurance does a pretty good job of covering things. When we first got it, we had to "build up" to the better coverage by going for regular cleanings, etc. We've had the same plan for 30 years. I am grateful to have it! I love hearing about the boys and their kittens! Hannah is a brave one...I haven't had a kitten for many years--we adopt "teenagers" so I don't have to go through the tiny, clawing years. It was fun when I was younger though so I can see the boys enjoying it. I really do miss having a cat and am chipping away at DH's reservations (the coyotes around here are terrible and he sees how upset I get if something happens). We will see! Any big plans for your weekend? I was thinking that you would be home to get ready for your drive for Thanksgiving. Hope that you have a good day--good job sticking to your healthy eating-the scale reflects it!

Christine: So glad to hear that you have an appointment to look more closely at the pain you are having. All of these pains seem like they would cause you to compensate and then have other issues, etc., etc.....needs to be taken seriously! It's also good to know that they were responsive before. Hope to hear good news in terms of finding the cause when you post next. Nope, no big plans this weekend...we drive to So. CA on Tuesday and I am working a FULL day on Monday so will be getting ready for our trip...we do have a bday thing on Saturday night but that is it. Anymore, I love the downtime on the weekends! Can't believe that December is a little over a week away! When will Linds be home? DS20 flies home on the 17th--yay! And I just had to book him another flight for an oral surgery consult--wisdom teeth. Apparently, December gets booked up like 8 months in advance due to college kids being home so we had to plan for MLK weekend. At least this flight had one leg that was on "sale". Hope that your appointment goes well. Oh, BTW, I am completely like you -- a "rebel" when you give me limitations on my food! Yes, it will be good to find those go-to snacks. Sometimes I find that drinking warm beverages helps me too and is much lower in calories. I look forward to hearing the results of your search--have a good day!
Lisa: Maybe you can bring a salad to go along with the pizza at the next church meeting? I did that on Wednesday at work and ate a very small slice of pizza. People seemed to like the salad too! So, if this report shows that you all are doing "well" that could mean that you don't have more work? I hope not! I also hope that you can work up until Christmas. Have a good day!
Hello to all who follow. Have a few things to do this morning before work so I better get a move on.
