Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Joyce, you are doing so good with the weight loss. Keep it up. Did they find out anything about your car? At least you are in the right place if there is a problem.
Ruth, I was happy to hear that the procedure worked for Stan. I hope he can stay out of A-Fib till the big procedure in March. Hope the thyroid situation is a quick fix with just a medication change. Did the Wild win? Since we don’t have a hockey team they never give scores until it is time for the playoffs. I know what you mean about getting rid of stuff and then there is more. Hope Mara has a good party on Saturday. How many people will be there?
There is more rain predicted for this afternoon but at least it isn’t as cold as it was earlier in the week. Last Sunday Bill and I went to our library used book sale. When we got home we both decided to get rid of books that we have already read or don’t plan on reading. As a result I have 2 grocery bags of books to go back to the library for the next sale. The problem is the library takes a break from collecting books till 2 weeks after the book sale so now I have the bags in my guest room closet, I will be watching for the notice that they are collecting again.

Good morning,
They couldn’t find anything wrong with my car. They ran diagnostics and had a tech drive it around for a while. They said that problem codes would have stayed in the system but since the light on the panel flickered so quickly it probably wasn’t really a problem. I’m not going to worry about it, but if it happens again I’ll let them know.
They offer both the enhanced license or Real Id in NY. If you’re renewing a license that wasn’t enhanced they suggest getting the enhanced, but you can keep regular and get a Real Id - your choice. Either option will let you cross into Canada, so it really doesn’t matter. And either option will let you fly domestic. My passport expired and I didn’t have any plans to renew it, so I just went with enhanced. I doubt my traveling will take me outside on US or Canada.
Working on kitchen today. Have laundry going too. It’s a gloomy day, so staying inside works.
Later ...

Good late morning. We had a great time at the game last night. We left early (Cathy’s suggestion) so I didn’t have to drive down in the dark. We went to a burger place a block and a half from the arena for dinner and had a much better, much cheaper, dinner than eating at the arena like we often do. And the game was good, and the Wild won it! And Stan said he feels so much better after the procedure than he does when he’s just out of AFib.
Joy, isn’t that always the way with a car. So fast rating. Years ago (1992 or so) my minivan ran out of gas on the way to Heather’s bassoon lesson. So I called AAA and got gas delivered. Car would not start, even with gas. So we had it towed to the dealer. Driver gave Heather and I a ride there. Called Stan to come get us. At the time he was driving one of his Miatas (he had 2, back to back). Ok, so he comes to pick up Heather and I and her bassoon (school’s so couldn’t leave). Driving thru the dealer parking lot, he somehow picks up a nail in his tire. A block away, he pulls over and the 3 of us get out. I had to go up to a house to request to use the phone. Due to her dogs not liking people, I’m out on her deck using her phone calling AAA to come with a flatbed to take Stan’s Miata to the dealer because they had put the lug nuts on with an air wrench and he could not get them off. And then I had to call older DD Sheri at her daycare facility job to come and pick up the 3 of us and Heather’s bassoon! And for 2 days until we got the other 2 cars back, we worked out a schedule of getting everyone to work and all with rides and trading off her car. It was summer thankfully and she was home working at daycare. Funny thing was they couldn’t find anything wrong with my minivan at first, it started right up for them after being towed; but the service guy said he was sending a tech out to drive it for a while. Called me laughing and said the tech was about 2 miles from the dealership and it quit. Just plain quit on him! So they saw the problem and they had to tow it back to the dealership but they figured it out and I had no more problems with it and that problem turned out to be under warranty!!! Sorry, long story, but you had to know the background to see how ironic it was they couldn’t find the problem at first either!!!
We are both hopeful that Stan will stay out of AFib until March, but not real convinced it will happen. Even if he does, they will still do the ablation in March. He’s been helping me today with small chores as I try to pick up and get things ready. Cleaning out the fridge and washing it out is up next after a quick lunch. Then a trip to the grocery store, the party store for decorations, and Costco for fruit & veggie trays. We are expecting about 13-14 people. 3 friends of DS/DIL. One eats vegetarian, and I think one is doing keto or something else. I will have vegetarian re-fried beans and maybe veggie crumbles with taco seasoning. Going to have chips & salsa and the fruit & veggies and the taco bar. DS/DIL are bringing the cake. I think they spent a ridiculous amount for a cake and I declined paying that much, so they did. She’s 2! The cake isn’t for her, it’s for show!!! IMHO!!!
Dottie, I have some books listed that aren’t selling, current hardcover best sellers I should see if the library wants them for the shelves. Or for their sale.
Have a good day all. Back to lunch and cleaning.
