Good Morning Everyone ~ happy it is Saturday and already I feel satisfied! I guess it doesn't take much for this girl lol Slept well...at least I feel like I did. I'll double check my FitBit. Will need to dust and clean Linds' room today/tomorrow. She will be home on Tuesday!! Hooray!! I can tell DH is excited to have her home too. Today I might do a few leaves - get them raked and bagged. The winds blew most away - hooray! So just one line of them are kinda deep along the back yard - will pace myself there. Then I hope to get organized with my outdoor Christmas lights - yep, that time of the year again. A few of our neighbors already put theirs out - hmm, still think it's a tad early before we GIVE THANKS before celebrating the Season. BUT who am I to judge? I play Christmas music in my car since Halloween!!! lol Yesterday I was seriously thinking of NOT taking a half day from work - just pop into the doctor apt and immediately dash back to work calling it my 'lunch'. I knew the doctor was fast and efficient. But once at work I changed my tune. The kids were off the wall, DL was amping up demanding we volunteer until 6:00PM for Child care, and I just about had enough of the pain in my foot. So I wrote a quick email to the Team of administrative staff at 12:45 and said, "Sorry gang, but I was due to leave at noon and was already running late for my doctor appointment". Then turned off all electronics and emails. I didn't want to know how the rest of the day went... Made it to my Pain Management appointment. And well...I'm a puzzle apparently. My pain in top of my foot and a bit towards inside of ankle has stumped them. So he read my MRI results from my left knee (in June) because my theory was maybe something was pressing on a nerve in the damaged/worn out knee. He did a sonogram of the cyst behind that knee and WOW was that ever large! He drained a LOT of fluid out of it - as a matter of fact he wouldn't let me leave until he did as he was concerned how large the Baker's cyst had grown. Apparently the arthritis in that knee causes the fluid to build up. It was relatively pain-free procedure. Just a pinch for the needle for anesthesia - but he announced for recording purposes how much fluid he drew out each time - 8x - and I peeked. The syringe was full each time lol - and oh my! My knee shrunk and my pants fit so much better around it!! Crazy...so I asked if he could do the same to my stomach LOL The nurses all wanted the same! Just joking... Before I left they did an X-ray of my foot and ankle. Glad they did as it was very painful again by the time I got home. Darn. The Baker's cyst was not the cause of nerves and pain in my foot. Eager to hear results of the X-ray to get to the bottom of this. Meanwhile he did give me a sample of NSAID lotion to rub on my foot.

Mornin' Christine - Thanks for starting us off this morning - yes Happy it IS Saturday! I will NOT be going to work today! YAY!! My settlement is so out of whack, that Amanda and Crystal are going to be in touch with our processor this week to have them "show me the way"! LOL So going in today - would "potentially" just make more work for me/them later - so no more settlement until THEY figure out what went wrong!! I say PHEW - It's not 'ME"! When Amanda is ready to throw in the towel - it makes ME feel GOOD! I had been beginning to feel like DAMN I just got this awesome review and now all I am doing is screwing up!! So taking that off my mind "for now"!
So when Ken leaves this morning - I will hit the kitchen, and pull some stuff from the freezer so I can get a better handle on how much we have - and what we don't have - what we need to buy - to make these darned pies! We say (every year) we will CAP at 60... well this year we are up to about 68 - I think! UGH! Yesterday I told someone at work NO - it's too late, but my SISTER took another order!! Goes to show she has no clue what making 68 pies is really like! I know we will probably raise almost $1k with this many pies but GEEZE enough IS enough!!
OK Let me see if I can grab another cup of coffee and get caught up... with Ken - Tracy and Zoë all here - who knows if I can! LOL

Good morning!
DH and I will ride together again for our longer run today. I have to run a bit farther, but there will be a group there. I actually hope that I get some time to run alone--it's been a while and I wouldn't mind just listening to music and pushing myself at the end. We will see. It is cooler today for our start than last week (finally). Have to say that I am REALLY looking forward to working one day next week and then leaving for So. Calif. on Tuesday. I feel like I need some not-overplanned time off. I will have some work-work, but really don't mind at all. I was thinking last night...I feel like I haven't had a "good eating" week for at least 3 weeks. For whatever reason, I have just been all over the place. It might sound crazy with Thanksgiving being next week, but the time off will actually give me the chance to focus a bit more and be more intentional...get my head in a better place.
Christine: Did I read that right? 8 syringes full of fluid??? And your pants fit differently??? This is CRAZY!! I really hope that someone is seriously trying to get to the bottom of this. I can't imagine! It sounds like you definitely have a few things going on that all need attention. And good for you for leaving work and REALLY leaving it. How many days do you all have next week? Yeah for Linds coming home!! DS20 and I spoke again yesterday--he still sounds okay with it all--in the midst of meeting with an advisor, planning for the next two quarters -- I am glad to hear him thinking ahead. I was telling DH yesterday that having him move farther away has really been good for him. He really has had the chance to see that HE has a lot of control over his choices. It was nice talking to him yesterday and I am looking forward to seeing him in a few weeks! Sounds like a nice day for you---and Christmas lights! Yes, I think it is early too but a lot are popping up around here. On Thursday there was a little fender bender on the freeway that held us all up for about 40 min (making for a super long drive). I could feel myself getting stressed about being late, etc. so I turned on Christmas music! I was driving along singing "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" -- who can be mad while doing that, LOL? Hope that you have a good day.

Carole: Wow, 68 PIES!!! Every year it seems like the number gets higher! And I lament over making two! Glad that you will have help and I know that you have your "system" for getting it done. So glad that it turns out you don't have to work today! Is Ken going up to the mountain? Some of our resorts have made snow to open for Thanksgiving and we are supposed to have a "dusting" next week. We will see....winter is just a bit later this year. Hope that you have some calm time this morning!
Hello to all who follow. Will try to pop in later. I feel like a lady of luxury...hair color last night, nails today....get together with friends tonight. I am looking forward to all of it though. Hope that you all have a good day!

Morning all...going to hit the heat and recliner for a bit before heading to BJ's....did get my Walmart shopping finished up last night and then came home and fell into the chair. We had a HUGE job that had to go out yesterday that involved putting journals into individual envelopes, labeling, sorting by mail code zone and sending them on the way.....each journal was over a pound and "just fit" in the envelopes so it was a tedious job to not bend any pages or ruin the book just putting it in the envelope...lets just say, by the time we are all finished, we were all sore, had numb hands and wrists, things hurt today and I have no idea why...I could barely rollover in bed I hurt so badly! BTW...it was over 11,500 journals to stuff....930 mail bags for domestic packages and 3 1/2 skids stacked chest high with about 450/skid of foreign copies to be shipped by our International mail vendor.....it was a lot of books!!
Had a tough day yesterday as it was dad's birthday...Kris actually called me last night to chat. It was OK, mostly about missing dad and how she is looking forward to our visit. She said mom hates it in TX, Jim & Annie treat her like a child, blah, blah, blah....not sure what is truth or what is just DS's take on the situation.
The plumber was supposed to come today to fix all the spigots in the house but his mom is not doing well and she possibly did not make it through the night so we will likely not see him but if he comes, he's coming at 10 am. I will hopefully be on the road by then to drop off sweet potatoes to one of the Y friends....she is doing 2 Thanksgiving dinners this week for shelters and we are donating the sweet potatoes and butternut squash for the events.
Will pop back later for personals....will try to read a little from the recliner before I leave.

Sue: WOW Getting a jump on your Christmas baking now too! We are headed to Aldi's today - hoping to get MOST of the baking supplies there. LOL I made a "healthy" egg omelet yesterday before leaving for work - it was YUMMY - BUT... it was 7 points, when tracked! Same as my protein bar!! My WI day is Friday - and yup, I was UP... only .2# so I can deal, but seriously, I need to get my head in the game here this week!!
I will cut myself some slack - eating out three meals Wednesday was NOT the best option for me... even the pre-made egg white-veggie omelet was probably not the best omelet ever made! Add to that I have NOT been prepping and planning well... this week probably won't be much better in that regard!!
Lisa: yes, pizza will definitely be a challenge but manageable... planning ahead will be key. What day is your WI day?? Good luck keeping the job through Christmas!
Gabrielle: Yes... give yourself a DOR! How long a run is today?? Yes, find a nice yoga "class" on DVD... you'll enjoy that! WOO HOO for cooler temps and rain on the way!
Yes - that's why I am keeping Friday WI for now... day after TG will be "tough" but going forward, it will maybe help get the weekend started on the right foot!

Spent some time reading WW site and protein-filled snacks. I did have HB eggs (thanks Carole!) on hand and yes, they help me and for Purple Plan they are 0 points. It's all a mind game - I know - lol Will try a recipe for Steel Cut oatmeal - over night in the slow cooker. If I recall correctly I did NOT like it last time but will try to flavor it up with some other ideas. Doing laundry now. No shower until this evening per Dr. orders from the syringe procedure? I guess I have a large bandage on back of my knee - who knew? lol Gabrielle - really hoping you folks get some moisture and RAIN in your area. The sun came out today for first time in forever Yes, you read my post right - 8x they used a syringe. Maybe our Sue can help interpret - he announced "38 cc's". Is that a lot? Sue - sorry to hear your back is acting up but man, THAT was a lot of hard labor yesterday at work for you guys! My lower back aches for you. I stopped after my appointment yesterday to pick up frozen pies at GFS (Gordon Foods) as theirs are large and nicely priced - not to mention taste great! $4.99 a large pie is a good deal around here. We are going to DSIL's for Thanksgiving this year - THANKFUL - as that is a meal I just don't care to clean up from! lol Need to flip the laundry and pay some bills. Was making my grocery list...ENJOY this day everyone!

Christine: I hear ya', just knowing it is Saturday, makes it a good day!! YAY for a good night's sleep! Ummm, you dust? DDs room for her?? You are too good to that girl! LOL Enjoy her when she gets home ♥
Yes please be careful out there raking - good exercise, but tough on your knees and back! Oh I wish I could deal with Christmas stuff today and tomorrow... here's when I get a bit "resentful" for all the time these pies take! Tracy & I do the shopping... and the lugging... the rest all file in to do the actual pie making - but they don't seem to realize the work ahead of time! Just figuring the supplies needed for them takes "time"! Thank goodness for my Tracy - she takes that on each year...
I have been listening to Christmas music too... not all the time - but some of the time! I actually enjoy seeing some of the lights up this "early"... sort of peaceful to me!
Good for you TAKING the "mandatory" half day! OUCH! I know you said painless, but yikes... that's a lot of fluid! Sorry it didn't erase the pain from your foot - but glad it helped the knee itself!! LOL Yeah, we can all use that fluid removal from belly - thighs - arms...
Gabrielle: Nice that you and DH can ride together on these running days! Do you stay at your sister's place in So. CA?? Will her "eating" be in line with yours?? ENJOY the drive and the time away - sorry you have to bring "work", but at least you can do it on your own time - and NOT have to go IN to work next week!
Yes we do have a system, and yes we always hover around that 70 number... It will all be fine - I am just already worrying about the standing on my feet for three days getting them done! Ken works at the store today - scheduled for tomorrow but honestly not sure they will even open. Should be near 50 and rainy... They have made snow, and opened last week - but this week has been warmer and rainy, so pretty sure whatever they made is pretty much gone now!!
Enjoy your weekend... I am sneaking in a trip to the nail salon today around shopping! YUP I AM WORTH IT!!
Sue: Uh Oh... the stress of standing and stuffing... and well, who knows... but anything out of our "norm" can affect our back - legs - shoulders... hope it feels better soon!
{{{hugs}}} I know yesterday wasn't easy... add DSKris into it and well... ♥ How nice to donate some things to the shelter dinners!
Christine: YAY for you and your researching! Yes will need to get eggs for home today - will try to get a egg bake done so I can have that this week BEFORE leaving the house!! Also grabbing produce, and if I make my jar salads, I can grab one to take with me each day! MAYBE I can stay away from the usual pizza lunch and then grab and go dinners!
Tracy does an overnight oatmeal in a jar I think... not cooked... YUCK... LOL I think it was a Beach Body recipe!
YAY for sunshine... we are sunny and mild today... wish I could be HOME, but I will enjoy NOT freezing as we go store to store!

OK... time to get moving here... need to shower and get ready to leave, want to get the dishes done before we head out - then get some of the frozen berries and such out of the freezer to double check what we have. Hope to leave here around 12:30... will drop Zoë off with her parents - then head to grab Eden. I am treating her to nails today! I haven't done them for her in a while - and I want to spend the day with her, so if I am getting MY nails done - I will let her get hers done as well... what's $15.00 to make my girl smile?? ♥
Hope you all get to enjoy the day my friends ♥hugs♥

Good Morning Everyone
I have good news, I got a raise effective December 30th, we got a 3% cost of living increase and if you have been there between 10-20 years you get an extra dollar increase so all together I got a $1.60 more per hour raise. I was happy however Diane wasn't happy at all about the whole deal because we really haven't been with the company that long. But I didn't make the deal when our old company sold out with the new company. We all got to keep our senority and vacation time in the buy out. Not my problem, next year I'll get a $2.00 raise along with the 3% cost of living because next year I celebrate my 20th anniversary with the company.
Kerry is doing great his mouth is healing well and he called his DR and made an appointment to go talk to him about the stage 1 blockage, then we will go from there. According to google they can treat it with medicine but we will see what's going on when he is referred to a cardiologist and see what they think.
Carole wow to all those pies, but I remember you do this every year. I love to bake but it is exhausting when your on your feet all day long. Sounds like Matt is much happier now that he's started treatment and can get this taken care of, I'm so happy he isn't feeling really sick after treatments. How's Patty doing with all this going on. I think this week I'm switching over to the green plan on WW, I didn't do really well with the purple plan this week I ended up gaining as well I don't know how much but can feel it.

Sue that is a lot of books to put together no wonder your sore and tired. You need to rest this weekend. I'm on vacation all week but I'm going to be doing some shopping for TG dinner going to buy a turkey and ham. I didn't realize how expensive Hams are my goodness they are around 60.00, why are they so expensive it's not like there is a shortage of pigs. What are your plans for TG this year?
Christine wow to all the fluid in your cyst, can they remove it from the back of your knee. Glad to hear Lindsey's coming home next week for TG break in a couple years Audrey will be off to school and come home for the holiday's but she wants to go to WOSU which is 20 min from here so it's not a long way's away. How are you liking the WW program? They are calling for snow here next week but I say NO, it never snows here when they predict it. LOL.
Gabrielle enjoy your long run today with DH. It's so nice you two enjoy doing that together. Glad to hear DS20 is doing so well on his own up here in Oregon and planning what he want's to do with his life. Glad DS25 passed the bar exam, what are their plans now? It's really cold up here into the low 30's in the morning with lots of frost and fog. Have a safe trip to So Cali this next week.
Hello to Lisa and Shelly
I gotta get ready for my WW meeting and do some shopping today for TG dinner and then I think I'll relax and watch some TV as this next week will be busy getting ready for guest's coming on TG
