Good Morning! Slept fairly well - sometimes I just can't keep laying in bed as I feel the need to stretch and move - so got up to get laundry started, stretch a bit, and enjoy my coffee in a quiet house Still burning my Fall candles - this one is Autumn Leaves my favorite... Yesterday was a good day. Did rake some leaves, for about 2 hours, and got most of the back yard finished. That will be it I think. There is still plenty to do on the side but honestly my back and knees can't keep up. So on to the next project. Outdoor Christmas lights! I asked DD23 to bring the large tote upstairs - I did pull it out from storage - I just want to go through it and see which string of lights need replaced. DH quietly and kindly suggested this year I NOT put them out because of the struggles I've been having physically but honestly, to me, it's important to celebrate the Season with our house lit up - so it's a chore I will do quietly and try not to complain afterwards of any aches - I Tracked my day yesterday...I like to do it before dinner just to be sure I'm on Track and following my plan. That seems to be the time of day I tend to toss all cares and graze through the pantry...still figuring it all out...It did help that I made my lunch ahead of time even on a Saturday. I had left over chicken so I made a huge fresh salad with tons of peppers, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, mushrooms and topped it off with a HB egg. It worked - no need for a 'snack' as I was so busy raking and cleaning out the garage, and getting chores around the house done. A good day.

Carole - that IS a lot of pie making and I'm so glad the actual making and baking goes to the other Team members - your part of gathering all the ingredients is just as important too! When Tuesday and Wednesday come for baking do you watch the girls there or do the DDIL's keep the girls home? This year be sure to SIT and take breaks!! Remember your back and the horrible spasms you had earlier this year so be careful not to over do it. How did shopping go?
Sue - speaking of backs - how is yours doing? I have to tell you yesterday DH and I went furniture shopping to replace the Family Room couch and loveseat. Oh my. The new updated reclining sofas and reclining loveseats are amazing! The one we have now USED to recline, um, about 18 years ago, but the pull strap broke on each side years ago LOL but these new power motion ones are like nothing we ever saw...I can see why you easily sleep most of the night in one - wow! I was excited and wanted to buy the first set we saw as anything at this point would be wonderful LOL I hope today to drag DD23 around with me to 2 other stores, "just to see" ....but the price of last night's set was pretty darn good ($899 for couch, $879 loveseat)...the ones I priced on Overstock and Wayfair were way over that...anyways, I hope today your back is healing and you feel better. Are you getting excited to head to NC soon? Is it Thursday you drive down to beat the traffic?

Gabrielle - how was your long run yesterday? I didn't realize you and DH run with the same group? Is today your WW Meeting? I have been reading the articles provided - each time I go on the site I find something applicable! I've been enjoying it so far - and I think the Purple is the Simply Filling version. I never quite got the hang of it before but I'm determined this time to give it my best. I did WI today - down 1.8# which I know is not a lot but it's a work in progress - I think I'll switch my WI day to Wednesdays. That was always my 'day' when I was far more successful On Plan.
Jenny - HOORAY for that pay raise! You DO deserve it and I think it's awesome the former owners made sure all of you kept your seniority with the sell out...WOW! I can be part of the gang that says, "I didn't know Kerry was retiring!" that is actually very exciting. We all know how very hard he's worked and the physical part of his job is so demanding on the body - what a great countdown! So did you switch WW Plans? Let me know what you think...I am doing Purple but it's still all new to me as I never followed this version of WW before. And yes, I suspect a slight gain would happen as our bodies try to figure out what's going on! lol I did struggle a few days with the 'I feel restricted' mindset and that is something I need to work on. STOP rebelling and JUST DO IT geesh...that's how I need to talk to myself lol
Jo - hope you are feeling better and can find a comfortable position to sleep. That must be so so hard! What are the plans for Thanksgiving? I know each year you travel to Pittsburgh to be with your Mom - will that trip still be planned?
Hello to Lisa and Shelly - we know you are out there!! - let us know how your Simple Sunday is going! This is a short work week for most - our Teachers have Early Dismissal with the students on Wednesday - it will be so peaceful to work the rest of that day with the kids and teachers gone! lol We are off Thursday and Friday!! I'm playing with the thought of taking Monday off too just to enjoy a QUIET house. Gotta say, having that half day on Friday was wonderful!! I think work is more stressful then I admit...

Morning Christine...snowing lightly here in Glenville....the garden is white for the grass is just starting to stick....supposed to stop by 9:00 am so nothing to worry about...just annoying to see flakes! I know you have already dealt with inches but we haven't had a flake yet....this is the first real reminder that winter is coming! UGH!
Back is better, will pamper it a bit more this morning before heading off to meet my painting friends for a quick lunch before heading Lacey's studio for a RFL fundraiser. It's a snowman door hanger.....can't wait! Will be perfect for the holidays and all winter long!
Have to make one "practice" pumpkin roll today....will bring it to work to share. I have the cream cheese on the counter getting to room temp, got the pumpkin thawed and drained overnight to get the excess water out of it....going to have a cup of coffee or two and then make the roll part. Should be able to get it baked, cooled, stuffed and back in the fridge before I have to leave at 11:45 am. Need to get a shower too before I leave so it will not be a super relaxing morning but once I get home I won't have much to deal with, just finish up the laundry. We opted to pull out a couple freezer meals we had saved for this week so we have no leftovers.
No time for personals....really need to read back a few days to see what everyone is up to!!
Waves to all....have a great simple Sunday!

Good morning Christine... SIMPLE SUNDAY... the eating will be "simple"- AND OP! Yesterday was OK... not "stellar" but OK! Need to finish tracking - but hey it's all good! I do need more tea and water and seltzer today, That I do know!
Woke to about 2" of snow, it's OK, better than the freezing rain we were expecting! Tracy had to head to work today - so she was happy for the snow vs. ice! However it is warming up out there, and turned to rain, so Ken will head to the mountain to set skis, but they are not open. He will only be gone a few hours!
I slept in a bit... but wanted to get up and get the day started... now however, I am having trouble getting motivated to actually DO anything!!
Yesterday went well - shopping is done, for pies and home! Now to get everything organized and ready to go! Today I will try to get a jump on some crusts... tomorrow (at home) I will get the pecan and pumpkin and sweet potato pies done here at home. I need to get started Monday or all 71 pies (yes even more than I thought) will not get done! I hate making them too "early" for Thursday... but it has to be done!
Today we will also get the produce chopped and prepped - so it is ready to Grab-N-Go... Also cooking chicken for dinner and my salads. Also to have leftovers for this week - as I do NOT want to eat OUT all week! I know there will be pizza on Tuesday for lunch, so do not want to go out for dinner too! By Wednesday night I am NOT coming home to make dinner so leftovers will have to do - and salad!
Think I will cook my squash tomorrow - to take Thursday. One less thing to worry about after pies Tuesday/Wednesday!
Matthew emailed yesterday - it hit him! Dr told him on Day 3 he'd probably feel "extreme fatigue"... well yeah he did! Friday he actually had side effects from the white cell booster shot he got Thursday... so he is now beginning to see this is not as "easy" as he thought it would be. Breaks my heart to know he is dealing with it all. HE knows I am here... nothing I can do (at this point) but if there is I hope he knows to just ask!
OK Let me catch up on yesterday - then get my day started around the house... ♥

I was "satisfied" with my Saturday... like I said the food wasn't perfect - but it is manageable, and I did not buy wine while shopping! LOL
Jenny: NICE raise!! I am happy with my 4% that I got , but darn - you hit the jackpot with the new company!! Congrats! I am just happy mine covers what I want to raise my FSA! LOL Now I don't feel like I am giving anything up to get the better FSA balance!!
UGH You googled it? LOL I have still stayed away from googling Matthew's cancer... just can't go "there". Glad Kerry is doing well {{{hugs}}}
As I mentioned earlier, Matt is now feeling some ill effects... but nothing he can't deal with I am sure. Not sure how he will feel as they go forward - if it will get any worse... but I did let him know I am off those days for treatments if he needs me. Patti is a hard girl to "read"... she seems very involved... taking care of things... but also seems indifferent to it all? If that makes any sense... she doesn't talk much. Even riding in the car all the way to Boston and back - she was on her phone... only spoke when we asked a question, and sometimes had to ask more than once for her to even know we were talking to her! I was kind of annoyed!

Christine: Thanks for starting us off... I slept OK too - but kept hearing something, so had to get up to check it out. Seems it was snow falling off the darned roof! UGH A sound I am not used to this early in the year I guess. So I got up... still 2 hours later than a normal day - and no alarm tomorrow either - so life is good!
Ken is leaving now, so I will get my "quiet" time!
Glad you are done with the leaves! Hopefully it didn't leave you too sore?? YAY on to Christmas lights! Here too I hope... when DH gets home today I can get him started on that project - while it is not quite as COLD as it will be next week!??
Great job being ready with a healthy lunch!! Exactly my plan for this week! If I take it with me I will eat it... as well as my tea bags! I drink my water and tea each day at work - so being there making pies should not change that routine! Right? Right!! I know when I pull out my salad my sister will say "something", but I will face it when it comes... hoping not to just SNAP at her!
LOL Yes, I am just needed to make and roll the crust! The fillings and baking usually falls to my kids, my sister... Kathy... and oh yes, Eden and Zoë! Yes the girls will be there on Tuesday - but they play together, and Kathy chases - I just make the crust! The one thing I know I WILL look forward to is coming home and relaxing in the hot tub this year!! Yup, I do remember the back/leg pain - and no will not want to revisit there! Somedays I do feel that "twinge", and by golly that is when I remember to do those stretches! I am so NOT self-disciplined to remember to do them every day!
Shopping went well, and I totally enjoyed the mani-pedi afterwards! Then we hit one more store, the local Stop & Shop had $.39/pound turkeys... so I got 2! I paid under $9.00 for TWO 20+# turkeys to use after the holidays! Oh I may use one for Christmas... Matt is still deciding if they will host or not... if not I am prepared (sort of), we'll see.! That will be in the middle of his 5 days of extreme fatigue following his 12/19 treatment!
WOW That sounds like an amazing set of furniture!! Good luck with DD23 today!
OMGosh Christine DOWN 1.8# is GREAT!! LOL Remember when our thread actually listed our "roster" by WI day?? Maybe we need to do that again - kind of bring back to the forefront the reason we are all here together!! Whether following WW or any plan - or no plan, we all probably still have a "WI DAY"!
I think your purple/SF plan would bring back the BLE for you, with LESS veggie prep of course... because BLE was a LOT of veggies each meal!!
Oh yes, please take Monday off... you deserve it! Maybe you can get your new furniture delivered that day?
Sue: Yeah, NOT what I wanted to wake up to either - but like I said, better snow than ice! Another painting day?? Enjoy!!! I let my friend Cindi sign me up to paint a ceramic Christmas Tree... you know the ones... LOL I already have 2, but I have a huge one and a mini so this time I am doing a middle sized one... not sure about it - have never worked on ceramics - ever - but hoping it will just be a fun night out with her!
A "practice" pumpkin roll... hmmm, OK Question for you... If I have fresh pumpkin, already cooked and then frozen... should we be straining that before using?? I have never done that! I have it thawing now... but can strain it overnight before using it - if I should!

OK Time to get this day started... I have a list of everything I "want" to get done - knowing I am off tomorrow gives me some room for relaxing! LOL First thing is to make a healthy LOW POINT breakfast... no more 7 point omelets for me! However - I am not ready to fall back into all the fat free stuff, so will have to deal with some points I guess! Just have to get a grip on portion sizes!
Will be checking in here and there as I can ♥hugs♥

Good morning! Yes I am out here. Slow Sunday for me. We went to listen to a band at local bar last night. It was fun and had and tracked a couple of drinks. Back to lean basics today.
Catching up on news, emails, and FB Pay bills later. Maybe some yard clean up if Joe comes over.
Waving.. enjoy your Sunday!

Good Morning
Just running through getting ready for the day. I gained 2lb's last week so I switched back to the blue plan for this week but last week was also my birthday week along with the surgery for DH so it's ok. I was going to go with green but then nothing is a free food, everything has points so I'm just going to do blue for now. I am going to be doing some leaves as well today getting them picked up and put in the compost container. I bought my turkey yesterday and got it for 49 cents per pound so now it's in the garage thawing out so I can put it in the brine on Tuesday, it's a 21lb so hopefully I will have lots of left over's and I also picked up a ham at Trader Joes, now I just need stuff like potato's and butter, simple stuff to cook with.
Christine yes Kerry will be turning 66 on 12/30 so yes he's retiring, he needs to get out of the dump truck and start moving around some. When he drove Redi-mix truck at least he was getting out when cleaning the truck up after each load but those dump trucks they are so bad for a person to drive hardly any movement what so ever, so yes he's excited to be retiring he has so much planned and yes he cleans the house for my when I had to work on Friday so it's going to nice to have him at home.

Carole so sorry Matt is feeling the effects of the treatment, I know it can't be fun going through this right now but lets just hope and pray that these treatments take all that cancer away once and for all. Are you off all week to do the pies or just Wednesday? I'm off all week and plan to do some deep cleaning and organizing this week, I'm just looking forward to some time away from work and WWOW, I'm also off the week before Christmas so I'm just going to enjoy some family time. I so enjoy the new company they really take care of their workers and really want them to like going to work and have fun at work rather than hate going to a job you don't like. They also meet us 50 cent's on the dollar up to 6% for our 401K contribution as well and they also put money into our HSA accounts and we have profit sharing that if the company makes money then they put another good chunk into my retirement. I'm really happy that they bought us out, my old company did give good bonus's at the end of the year but they never gave us a cost of living increase, hell I think my last raise in the old company was 5 years ago.
Sue have a great day painting and do share pictures of it. Make sure to rest today. Are you taking any time off this week for TG?
Hello Lisa stay warm, Hello Gabrielle hope your run was good along with your dinner last night. Hello Shelly hope things are going good for you.
Gotta run to the store for some eggs and get some breakfast going.

Good afternoon!
Actually read the posts this morning but then got distracted with list-making and went to my WW meeting as well. We are leaving for So. Cal on Tuesday morning (after track) and I needed to get the requested food, etc. for our house/dog sitter. She likes this one kind of frozen asian food, cheese pizza rolls, and Dr. Pepper! I didn't have any of those things around the house. I am well-stocked now though . We had a great time last night-- it was a really crowded bar with a GREAT band but they had reserved the top floor so we were able to escape the crowds...danced for hours (mostly us girls) and got home at about 1:00 am (WOW, that is the latest we've been out for a while!) I got 7,000 steps from dancing though, LOL. Fun times....
Christine: I hear you....I would want lights too, but please be careful! DH can not help? I just worry about you sometimes. BTW, yes, I do think that work is more stressful than you "allow" yourself to think. You are always focusing on the positive and I am sure that it gets tiring. Although some things are better than they used to be (I think), it's still uncomfortable (to say the least) and that is exhausting. Yes, do take that Monday! Yes, DH and I do run with the same group but he usually runs trails and I run roads so, for our Saturday runs, they are usually separate. A large group of us will be training for the trail run in AZ (February) soon so we'll be together again (he is faster than I am though so I will only see his back!) Yep, purple is "Simply Filling" to me too. I still am liking my more restrictive zero point food list on Green for now....could change in the future though. Today a bunch of people at the meeting shared big losses they had accomplished on purple (they go often too--this was a big change). You are doing great! I did buy the cookbook today- "My WW Program Cookbook"--it has some good snack suggestions and breaks down the points into the plan colors. Hope that you are having a great day and have a good start to the week!

Carole: Well, sorry to hear about Matt's situation right now. I guess the way to think of this is that the treatment is fighting hard to attack those cancer cells....but, as a mom, it would be hard! So glad that you are there for him and I hope that he has the treatment days on a calendar and is counting down to see that it will be over in not too long. Hugs to you! Yay for snow over ice. This is crazy--we might get snow next week!!! Months of bone dry weather and then BAM...snow! We will be out of town, but will be watching. We usually stay at my sister's house but this time are trying an Air BNB nearby to see how it is. It's nice to get away from the craziness sometimes and it is close and very affordable...we're giving it a shot. Wow, I would have chosen to make pie filling any day over making the crust--you are a brave lady! Glad that Christine mentioned the sitting along with the standing. I would use a timer if I were you! I love that the girls are there for the one day...I'll bet that they grow up remembering the pie-making Yay for having tomorrow off! I will wear jeans as hardly anyone will be at work tomorrow and it should be productive and low key. Yay for the mani/pedi too! Did I tell you that DH and I signed up for a "Drumstick Dash" on Thanksgiving day? It is a 10K and a lot of families go--in West Hollywood near my sister's house. Looking forward to running somewhere different (and pretty flat, LOL). Hope that you are having a good day and no more snow. I actually love how quiet it all gets when it snows...but then again, we don't get near as much of it as you so it's easier to enjoy
Sue: Sounds like a fun day ahead--enjoy your art time!
Lisa: Sounds like you had a fun evening last night too! Nice! Hope that you are enjoying your day!
Jenny : Great news about that raise! What a great thing that your company was bought out! This new company seems so much more employee-friendly. I am sticking with Green for now -- the 100-food zero point list is better for me at this point. I'll probably switch back to Freestyle (Blue) after a while though. It was a good meeting today thinking about what we do to be mindful and that "being kind" to ourselves doesn't mean not holding ourselves accountable. Looking forward to hearing how Blue works for you!
Hello to Shelly and all who follow. Need to plan dinner--we need to use up what is in the fridge so it is a bit limited. I did buy green beans though--they just sounded good! Have a good day, ladies!

Hello to all.... it’s going to be a busy week. I’ve been down on my back all week last week and finally went to the chiropractor on Wednesday and again Friday. I thought I was a little better but I forgot to take my muscle relaxers today and I think that was a big mistake. I think it’s my sciatic nerve being pinched somehow. I go back to the chiropractor tomorrow and Wednesday. I was thinking Wednesday may be a bad day for me to go but I will have to wait until after Thanksgiving if I don’t go Wednesday. Then the following Monday I have to have a tooth pulled 😢😫🥺😢. I’m still upset about that. With my back hurting and my tooth issues and just disgusted with myself I’ve just been a little down and not up to hopping on her. Figured tonight I better at least say hi!!!!
Christine. We got new furniture about 10 yrs ago and my pull strap for one of my recliners broke a few weeks ago. Yeah I’m wishing we would’ve gone with the electric recliners. Hope you was able to go check out some other couches with DD.
Sue sorry to hear your back is bothering you too. About half of my left foot has felt like it’s been asleep every time I get up and have to walk. I’m hurting pretty good this evening but probably my fault. No meds today until a couple hours ago. Ugh why didn’t I take them. Oh yum pumpkin rolls. I will do that for Christmas. DDIL from WY will be here and she will help me make some holiday desserts.
Carole how are you doing? Last week was first round of chemo for Matt? I hope he did Ok. Oh no!!! Snow!!!! We might get some later in the week but don’t think much. Oh yes it’s pie baking time!!! I can’t believe how many you do every year
Jenny glad you have some time off. Hope you get lots done. I wish I could take off.
Gabrielle have you been doing a lot of traveling lately. Seems like you are always in the road.
Well I need to get to bed. I keep dozing off. I will try not to be such a stranger. Miss you all
