Hi all,
It's a short week for me, too. I am off after tomorrow and we head to NJ on Wednesday in ALL the NYC traffic. We just take our sweet time. No sense in rushin'! We stop for lunch and mosey along - especially if DH drives. He used to be a fast driver when he was young! Now, he is the total opposite.
Sun is coming through today and a welcome change from the dreariness of yesterday. Have a good day all. I am still recovering from my late night! LOL

Happy that y'all have short work weeks I do remember those. I'd always put in for the day after off just to relax. Black Friday shopping doesn't hold my interest. Not a fan of crowds, and seeing as we now have the 'net' why go Sue enjoy your shopping trip. Judy Carl is the same way. He refuses to go faster than the speed limit....he also just moseys along Safe travels. Time to get a move on. May CBL

Ann, I think most places give Thursday and Friday off now - aside from essential employees like public safety and hospitals. So, that's a benefit. Places are also so MUCH more lenient about working from home, longer maternity leaves, etc. It's a good thing for the most part, but you have your small segment that takes full advantage, but isn't that always the way? They find the loopholes. :-) Very few people here even work on Wednesday and we do close for the entire Christmas/New Years break so it's an extra week plus off. Yay! I won't have to use any extra time to go to CA over Christmas.
My DDIL's family loves the Black Friday Bloomingdale's shopping. I go along to be a good sport, and it's fun - not that busy there and many big bargains. I am hoping to get something for my DGS, DS and DDIL while there. I hate shipping packages!

Wish the City of Worcester would embrace that mindset. Unfortunately city government is behind a rock LOL. Nice that you don't have to use your own earned time to travel Good luck with the Black Friday shopping. It's a beautiful day Took a hood walk and finished picking up all we needed. Now time to kick back for a bit and relax.

Good morning all. Another cold but sunny and non windy day. I'll take it! Going for a much needed gel manicure later in the day. She is very busy so I'll have to schedule my pedicure at another time. Good thing is, she is just down the street from us.
Wishing all a wonderful and OP day.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Tuesday!! I am off today but have an early lunch date with my former work partner. Since DH and I ate a later breakfast, I am not hungry so will probably nibble on an appetizer and drink iced tea. I am going for the company more than the food. I have thawed out two NY Strip steaks to grill tonight. DH brought home a package a while back and I separated them and froze them, so it is time to get them out. Instead of a calorie laden meal we are looking at salad or else Zoodles and maybe some Couscous with them. So glad for all I've learned in WW.
Judy ~ Safe travels to you!! Our news channel is not reporting good weather for the NE and hope it doesn't affect you! I totally agree about days off - as our school district has an In-Service Day today for teachers to make up parent-teacher conferences, though most of mine are all finished so will work a short day today. We are off the rest of the week. 5-day employees get paid holiday pay for Thursday and Friday but since we don't work on Friday anyway, we get paid for Wednesday and Thursday. I'll only lose one day's pay but have some OT still waiting to be paid so it'll even out.
Ann ~ How great that your nail gal is close by! I don't have to travel far either so it's good. I either meet her at the Salon (where she works one day every other week) or at her house and both are close. We have sunshine today as well as a high around 50 and again tomorrow! Yay!!
I got some down outerwear washed and dried yesterday. My knock-about down short jacket (from LE) had something on the front of it that would not respond to spot cleaning, so I grabbed DH's down vest to even out the load and washed them both and dried them with a clean tennis ball. They came out great. I let them hang in the basement overnight just to be sure.
We are still deciding on our Thanksgiving plans. We got a text a couple of weeks ago inviting us to a dinner and closed with "details to follow soon" but it's been so long now that we've about given up. We didn't care either way, so it's fine, but seemed funny to invite us then never tell us (1) where or (2) what time or (any other details). So we're considering reverting back to our good ol' stand-by of O'Malley's where we used to eat before we started going to Texas every year. We went there last year and it was just like we remembered and we enjoyed ourselves very much. We just need to decide what time so I can call and make a reservation.
I better be off to get ready to go out to lunch and I will BBL. Make a great day!!

Really excited that WW allowed the option of the "Green" Program.
Actually went to a meeting LAST week, for the first time in several months. Stayed on Points for the week, and DOWN 1.8 lbs!! First loss since the Free Style Program started!

Our Thanksgiving plans are all made. We'll go to our neighbors at 12:30 and will eat at 2:00-2:30. I'm bringing a veggie tray and dip and a pumpkin pie. I keep telling myself that it's JUST...ONE...DAY....
Yes Susi, I'm so happy that I found people in my neck of the woods. I do NOT miss the trip into the City at all.
Welcome Art. Great job on the loss.

Back from taking miss LuLa for a hood walk. It's such a beautiful day Had lunch, now I'm going to make the pumpkin pie so that it's nice and cold for when we take it to our neighbor's for Thanksgiving. I'll pick up the veggie platter tomorrow at Hannaford's. They do a great job of it, and it's always fresh, crisp and tasty. No need to do all that chopping myself Wish my manicure was earlier. Hate like heck to leave the house to be there for 4:15 but it's the only time she can take me. Waving............and talk tomorrow.

Good Evening, WW Friends ~ What a great day!! After lunch, I went to Hobby Lobby and bought some greeting cards and a box of Christmas cards. I had a list of what I needed for friends & school, plus an Anniversary and Christmas card for DH. Then I went to a Dollar Tree and found four $1 gifts for my Secret Santa gifts (and gift bags). All I have left to find is the final one ($10-15) which will be more fun I am sure than the $1 ones were. Tonight we had grilled steaks along with a big salad which my DH made and was delicious. I got some computer work done this afternoon; as well as some more set-up on my new Amazon Fire. I have been reading a book on it - and it is so nice to be able to just pick it up and find it ready!! My older ones had begun failing and frustrating me immensely!! I'm also enjoying the Alexa on it .... and now there are two!DH and I also finalized our Thanksgiving plans. We will go to the Alano Club for the Alkathon at 10 a.m. and stay after the meeting for some snacks and visiting. Then we'll come home and rest a bit. We reserved tickets for the movies to see "The Good Liar" about 1:30. We'll go right from there to O'Malley's where we have a 4 p.m. reservation for the buffet. That will put us back home about dusk and a good time to chill out for a while. Whew!! Tomorrow I have a lunch date with my niece who I don't see nearly often enough, so I am looking forward to it! We are meeting at Olive Garden for soup, salad and bread sticks. BBL. Make a great day!!

Hi all,
I had a super busy work day today helping gear up for two big events in NYC and D.C. Both are are at exciting venues and we’ve been working with caterers and paying advances, etc. I wanted to get a lot done before next week.
We we will leave tomorrow AM for NJ. So far the weather looks great for travel and it’s supposed to be good until we get home Saturday. It’s the traffic that is the toughest but what can you do... keep your patience and that’s about it.
I had a nice lunch today with my part time friend at work. She retired in June but works two days a week which I love since we can catch up. We went to our nearby dinner and each had the half order of pork chops, mashed potato, corn and peas and apple sauce. $4! It’s a great lunch and I had a very light dinner - cheese on toast and two clementines.
Sue, I am sorry you had such a flaky, for lack of a better word, invitation to Thanksgiving. You might be better off with all the nice plans you and your DH have made. Sometimes I just don’t understand people. They should be be good to their word. My dad used to say, “Don’t say it if you don’t mean it and follow through.” Good advice for all circumstances. 😊
Ann, your day sounds like fun, too! Lucky you to just stay close to home. Glad you had your nails done. What color? 😀 mine are royal blue with a spot of sparkle!
I cant wait to see my little dgs tomorrow. He’s so precious and a very good baby. I’m sure he’ll be dressed to the nines for Thanksgiving. My DB and DSIL invited us to their Boston apartment for dinner Saturday night, but we will be on the road and it is just too much for one day after a very long trafficky drive. I hate to miss them because they will head back to Florida on Sunday. Busy lives so I hope spwe see them soon. I really miss spending holidays with them.
I’ll be in touch when I can! Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
