Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning CB’ers! Sunday paper is in the recycling bin. Have a couple things to return to Kohl’s. Bought DH flannel pjs and there’s a 4” spot in a leg seam that wasn’t sewn up. I could maybe fix them, but it should have been done right by them.
Woke to beautiful sunshine today. But we may get plowable snow tomorrow night. Ugh!! Not ready for winter!
I need to get downstairs and start cleaning up that mess today.
Going to watch the Wild game tonight. Will be back then!!

Good afternoon,
Got busy in my kitchen this morning. It looks great. Once I finished moving the appliances, I started on the extras. I cleared out my pantry of processed foods. Nothing is expired, taking to food pantry tomorrow. I’m going to go through my plastic ware, organizing them, storing in closed part of the cart. I will definitely be getting rid of a lot of it too. Tossing all of the gladware. Some will find its way to the basement, but most will go.
Weather is nice today, and probably tomorrow too. Winds expected on Wednesday and the temperatures will drop. Should be a good traveling day on Thursday.
Nothing else going on. I only have to bake a cake for Thanksgiving, will do that Wednesday after work.
Enjoy your day

Joyce, thanks for the start-up. It seems like I never have the lid I need for some of my plastic containers. I try to go thru the stash at least once a year to get rid of the ones that are broken or no lid.
Ruth, I agree with you about taking the item back. I think the stores should know when their suppliers are making inferior products. It is beautiful today here also. I went shopping and just wore a light weight jacket. Supposed to be nice tomorrow and bad weather for Wednesday.
I went out and did a little shopping this morning. I picked up the eye drops (OTC) the doctor wants me to use along with the other 2 sets of drops that I need to use. I have to put drops in my eyes 3 or 4 times a day. I also bought a set of 3 poinsettias from Sam’s. They are very nice, I hope they last till Christmas Eve. Usually I get my poinsettias from Sam’s and the do fine but bought them a little earlier this year.

Good evening all. Watching the Wild game. Down 1-0 after 1. We have a well loved Ranger on the Wild now and he got a standing O from the crowd and he skated out on the ice to acknowledge the crowd. Tons of signs for him and all. How different than the reception Parise gets from New Jersey or Suter from Nashville. They both get booed royally every time they take the ice. I have an OL WW friend who is a Rangers fan and she sent me a video of him there too. We have the same good natured rivalry that you and I do Joy. Any given team on any given day!! I have Cathy who is a Blues fan, and another OL WW friend who is a big Sharks fan and we talk about Brent Burns a lot.
Dottie, I could have repaired the pj’s but it was just frustrating to find in a brand new out of the bag item. I don’t return stuff often, so didn’t feel badly doing it. I’m with you both on needing to go thru the plastic ware. I also buy deli type meat for sandwiches in the plastic ware and I save that for sending leftovers home with the kids. I never see things again unless I put my name on them and bug them to return whatever. And that gets old for both of us, so having containers I don’t care about works!!!
Dottie, do you have any trouble doing eye drops? When I first went to the eye dr (at the ripe old age of 22) and he told me to open my eye for eye drops I thought he was nuts. DS is just as hard to get eye drops in. You have to physically hold our eyelids up! I can do it myself now, but it’s not easy. Not sure I could do 3 or 4 kinds multiple times a day. What are yours all for?
I got the small chest freezer ordered for the twins today. DSIL will pick it up tomorrow at Sam’s Club and drop it off at their house. Hopefully Alex, Jas’s boyfriend will be home to help haul it in. Since I can’t imagine the girls’ not living together getting them something to share shouldn’t be an issue. And their parents are going to fill it for them for Christmas.
I found out tonight that Zach, Kira’s boyfriend will be with for our Christmas, so will get him a small present and fill a stocking. Haven't heard yet if Alex will be here or not. I’ll do the same for him if he is.
We are to get possibly 7” of snow between tomorrow late afternoon rush hour and lunch time on Wednesday!!! And then more possible Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to really mess up a holiday weekend. Thankfully none of the family will be traveling very far. DS’s family will come here Thursday afternoon; DD’s family will be going 45 min to her in-laws’ home; and at older DD’s, Kira comes home from school tomorrow afternoon and the girls live in town there.
Have a good evening ladies. Apparently Cathy made it safely to her DB’s in Toledo. Think she wasn’t staying long and then turning around and taking him back to SL with her.
More tomorrow!
