Slept 'ehh' as I had 'one ear out' for the Girls - they had gone out last night together with a large group of friends - my worry was for what time they returned because Linds has to work this morning - 6:00 AM!! And...she did it! Up and out the door on time. After 4 hours of sleep LOL ahhh - yep, I can remember those days. Their DD was Carly's Ben who didn't arrive until 12:30 Lindsey said, and of course, Carly wanted Ben to stay for a bit to meet everyone which only irritated Linds as she wanted her bed!! lol...it's all fine. I am so happy to have the next few days off! Yep, still debating about Monday. It's tempting to go in and work on some reports to avoid taking a Vacation Day especially when I have a contract job that I will need time off for...and once again, DD23 will be home after all on Monday. Sigh. I can't cut a break in having this house to myself. It'll be fine...but in the meantime I have lots going on here starting today Thanksgiving Dinner at DSIL's will be fun. Tomorrow I plan to put my outdoor lights up and clean the LR to bring the Tree upstairs and set that up. Saturday afternoon when Linds gets home from work we will decorate the Tree Also on Saturday I did promise to be the driver for my DM and Cheryl for Small Business Shopping Day. I enjoy seeing the local boutiques with them but my DM never wants to end the day. She keeps wanting to go, go , go and gets upset if I have a time limit, like 3:00. Sigh. It'll be fine...this year I might have the added excuse of my sore foot. It really gets painful when walking and shopping.

Carole - You DID it!! You got all those pies baked but most importantly, you ASKED for help and guess what? Kathy was more than willing to be that person! SO happy for you that it all worked out and you still had time to hit your hot tub!! Sounds like today will be a less hectic, family filled day - AND the bonus of having only to bring squash that you prepared easily! Good Job all the way around Did you remember this year to DRINK your WATER? That I remember was one area that challenged you but I'm confident you stayed on top of it Ready here for another cup of coffee...will toss in a load of laundry to decrease the amount waiting for me during a weekend...and have one more pie to bake. All easy...

I am HOME ALONE... for now... so taking a long - lazy morning, and going to catch up here... all the way back to Monday! I DID "move More", that's for sure! LOL My arms should be so "sculpted" by now! LOL I know the step count isn't totally accurate, as I was using my arms more than my legs, but - it was MOVING after all, so I will NOT discount that movement!
Shelly: Hope you are feeling up to company today!!
SO looks like Tuesday I stayed in bed too long to get on here before heading out to make pies!
Christine: So VERY Proud of you for working your PURPLE plan! I "hope" to get more on board this weekend, when Things.Calm.Down.! I know, it's an excuse! YAY for having Linds home again {{{hugs}}}
Gabrielle: YAY for TRACK Tuesday, before the long (but enjoyable) drive south! Well GOOD... snow will mean WATER that your area so desperately needs!
OH yes, I hope DS20 has a chance to SPEAK with the instructor - I agree he should have that chance!
No worries about checking in - we love to hear from you, but know how family time can get! LOL ENJOY your time away!
Sue" 'Tis the season - for you! LOL You have so much to DO these days, and the coming weeks... Remember to take care of YOU in between though!
Lisa: Yikes, hope you got a new battery - but I am also hoping you had the 10# loss! LOL
Jenny: Glad you went to the eye doctor - eye drops are good! Yikes... that happened here with DH FIRST dose of the shingles shot! He had to wait for a long while after it was prescribed! Good luck getting it! YAY for vacation days!!
HA! Yes, the naps ended Sunday! LOL No time the rest of the week, but I think I have been sleeping better at night too! Not GREAT, but better... of course it helps NOT having to get up at 4:45 AM! This sleeping until 6/6:30 could become habit if I am not careful! LOL Today was the last day of that for a while! Back to work for me tomorrow! UGH!

WORK IT WEDNESDAY went well... not "perfect" and definitely not tracked, but did OK. Opted to share a grinder/sub with DH last night - was Just.So.Tired.! Came home and crashed... had 2 glasses of wine, 1/2 sub and then headed to bed. Couldn't even stay awake to watch a Hallmark Movie! Was raining and windy last night so no hot tub... might head out this morning before heading to my sisters', not sure. Another day of more than my daily "goal" of 6k steps (which a normal day I barely hit 4k) but again - on my feet pretty much from 9-5, and moving by making pies, running home for last minute supplies, then cleaning the kitchen... because once the pies are baked everyone is GONE... Not as bad as it sounds... Tracy & Kathy went to deliver the pies to my bank. Thankful that Kathy was willing to help - it saved me a trip to Greenfield! One sister had to leave to go to work - and that leaves me and my middle sister Pat! SHE is in charge of sorting - boxing and getting pies ready for pick up! She attaches a nice thank you note... and greets folks as they come to pick up - and she deals with the money... so I GLADLY finish up the dishes and sweeping and trash! It's all good. BUT I do come home and need to just sit!
Christine: I hope your Wednesday went well - and you got out on time. Thankful the students got out EARLY and no childcare needed!
Hoping your day today is a good one with family... LOL With all the pies we made, Kathy arrived yesterday with TWO store bought chocolate cream pies - which are her favorite! She also knows the pudding/cream is something Matthew can eat. Pretty sure the apples are soft enough in the apple pie that he could eat that... but whatever... she wanted to bring a dessert - and they were on sale! So she got two! LOL
YES, even Wednesday evenings OUT with DH can be OP... just be mindful and feel satisfied. Saving most WPs for those nights might help? Are you using WPs? Or trying hard NOT to use them??
YAY to DBIL and DSIL for taking control of their health and eating better.
Good for Linds, picking up some time at TH while home. Glad she will be out in time to join family for dinner ♥
Yes, adding veggies - watching the fruit... I haven't been doing protein shakes since restarting here at WW... those fruits when made into a drink are so hard to track! We were asked to bring squash today - but Tracy also picked up a veggie tray... so MAYBE we can steer clear of the dreaded chips, dip, snacky stuff before the meal!
Crock pot is already on and the squash is reheating! For today I do have to add butter and brown sugar... OLD FAMILY TRADITION... BUT what they do NOT know is I do NOT use as much as my sister usually does! I like to actually taste the squash! LOL
Lisa: YAY for being 1# down - I was kidding when I said I wished the 10 for you... losing 10 in one week would NOT be "healthy"! YES be sure to tell the Dr you are already working on those numbers!! Glad they are normal... and those on the higher side will most likely drop with your better health and better choices. {{{hugs}}}
OMGosh thanks for the reminder of a Christmas List! LOL We always bring them to TG! I have not printed mine out yet. Mine is very short... but to save the argument I will bring one along.
Sue: Isn't it amazing what 2 short hours can do?? Sounds like you had the kitchen duty under control to come home and be ready for the week ahead! Yup, giving up that "piece" wasn't easy - but I had to do it, for my own sanity! Now that we start the pies on Monday - three days is just too much for me to remain IN CONTROL... Someday you too will learn you don't have to do it all!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL ♥
Feeling "thankful" today for a lot! Namely you ladies ♥ and my family ♥ Matthew is doing OK... not great, but he's here! He's feeling well enough to come today - he's not in a hospital somewhere in Boston - ALL things to be thankful for - for sure! I am also thankful that we are in a position to have to worry about too much food! As backwards as that sounds, the fact that we have "enough" and we aren't in line at a shelter for one meal makes me thankful too!
Christine: That "one ear out" never goes away does it?? Glad the girls still go out "together"... nice that they remain friends as well as sisters ♥ You did good Mamma! OMGosh, such a late night - good thing your girl is so young! LOL Yup, I remember those days... come to think of it, I have those nights now! LOL I can be IN BED for a lot more hours, but there are night;s when Fitbit says only 4 hours! UGH!
Oh gosh - I hear ya', sometimes NOT being home alone, makes the decision to go to work an easier one! LOL
Hey - I am hoping for our tree to be done this Saturday or Sunday too! I think we are going to do it ourselves this year... the little ones can enjoy doing theirs at home this year... and I think we will go back to a quieter decorating day/evening here... we'll see how that goes! :-)
Hmmm, you are so good about driving your DM and Cheryl... please do put an end to it if your pain gets too bad! Maybe call an end to it PRIOR to the terrible pain - to avoid it if possible! Good luck with that!
Yes... pies are done - one minor fiasco, but I was able to make it work! I had apparently let one order "slip through"... miscommunication is all it was - and I was able to dash home to get what we needed and Tracy was able to deliver hers - as well as the ones to the bank! CRISIS AVERTED!
Yup, I had to give up some control... I do NOT feel badly about it - AT ALL! LOL Yes, I did much better the past few days with water... not great - not as good as a normal work day - but better than a usual pie day! I also took my jar salads with me... I caved to 2 middle squares of pizza Tuesday, but yesterday I stuck with Just.My.Salad. While everyone else got McDonald's take out! LOL Of course it helped that while they were eating (and it smelled delicious) I had to run home for eggs and pecans!
Hope you got your pie done this morning - I too have a load of laundry... towels from pie baking, to throw in today... but today is a laid back morning! Ken just got home from the ambulance call, Tracy came in a while ago. She had picked up a shift with the ambulance where she used to work... she will still do per-Diem work, and this morning Mid-8 was HOLIDAY pay! So she scooped it up after working her training shift 3-11!
OK Need to get moving here... no hot tub this morning - but will turn it up so it is ready for tonight! LOL Shouldn't be a late - late night tonight... OH (this is a first for us) Tim, Jaclyn and Eden will be leaving shortly after dinner to join her 1/2 brothers family - and maybe her father - for dessert down there! I am OK with it... I knew it would happen... my sisters are not so OK with it - AT ALL! That's life! What they do NOT understand is that Ken and I had this dilemma all those years ago, thankful that his DM began doing the Sunday before TG and Christmas for the Hall gatherings... my sisters do not have a clue!! LOL
OK Will hope to get up on time tomorrow to chat before WORK... not a huge deal - I am OK sharing the day so I get it every other year... I'd rather be home, but it's not the end of the world! Next year is my turn!
♥hugs♥
