Woodloch has almost completed its transition to Christmas - just in time for the weather to join the party (snow is predicted for tomorrow). We'll enjoy the day but leave after dinner to get home tonight.
One more day of retreat. It's been a good one this year!

Ugh. Iโm done with carbs. Iโm officially calling it at my house for thanksgiving weekend to be over. ๐ Iโve been eating โholidayโ food since Tuesday- had a pot luck at school that started me off - and have been going ever since. Iโve swollen up like a marshmallow. In it and back on it since this morning.

Good morning. Made a really delicious Hungarian Smoked Paprika Mushroom Soup this morning and I need to back off from it, lol!! I ran it through the points calculator---6 points per serving and I already had two servings so it is now in the fridge. I think I could have eaten it all standing at the stove. Next time I will cut down on the real butter---six tablespoons in the whole recipe, seven servings total. I also added some chicken andouille sausage which kicked up the points a bit but the soup is worth it. Looks like we may be in for the first big storm of the season starting tomorrow and it doesn't show any real clearing until Wednesday. So glad we have a plowing guy and a whole house generator!! I was expecting the power to go out on Thanksgiving with the high winds but we were spared. Not so for some nearby homes---a power outage happened at just about noon on Thanksgiving, affected over 900 homes, and lasted until past 5pm. Happy Thanksgiving. I am still grateful that I have no leftovers in the house. Back on track with my food and hoping for the best at this week's WI. KOKO.

My overall average for the week is typical and my calories except on Thanksgiving day itself have been good. Even with Thanksgiving day I am at an OK spot on my calories for the week and today is the last day of my week and I have 4 SP left (green plan). But, Thanksgiving I ate about 200g of carbs. I am up a pound from where I was Thursday morning and I couldn't figure out why since the calories have been good (even Thursday wasn't all that awful and Friday was low cal). But, I think now it is the water retention from those Thanksgiving carbs.....

Good evening. I (was) in.
We are having a decent (for us) storm; it started today and will hang around most of the week. It made it feel like Fall and the holidays are here.
I got out to the library where I chatted with friends acquaintenances and checked on the workload for the coming week. Then I had lunch out at a local pizzaria that makes pizza-by-the-slice to customer specification; so lunch was a slice of pizza and Diet Coke Orange Vanilla flavor (quite good). I spent the afternoon doing some programming, then decided to make a sugar-free banana bread to have at hand (and use up over-ripe bananas); it is made with Splenda, so only 6g sugars and 1g saturated fat per serving (1/12th of loaf); recipe is from Marlene Kochโs Eat What You Love cookbookโher first one.
Ohโฆand it just seemed like a day that needed a switch so I moved myself from the living room to the family room and lit the fireplace (gas log). Iโm comfy and so is Missy.
