Thanks for the start, Karen. How was the meeting? Any new presidential candidates or shall we call you Madame President. Holy Pilaf, Batwoman. You were a busy cook yesterday. We're still chilly here at 33° with grey skies but no snow. No results yet from Iggy’s scan. He made the baklawa for the family TDay and this batch is for the office pot luck tomorrow. Iggy is taking me to dinner tomorrow evening at Club Oceano, a new seafood place. I am going to Wild Birds and Starbucks in the morning for my birthday freebies and I may go to DLM (Dorothy Lane Market) for a couple of cream puffs for our dessert.
Liz, Iam so glad you didn’t go into the city yesterday. How nice that the train crew checked up on you! Did you go in-today? I am sure Jets fans are equally disgusted at having lost to the Bungles, who, by the way, had the lowest game attendance in Bengal history.
Linda, how did the trim go? are you keeping it short or letting it grow out? Your old stomping grounds are getting hammered with this winter snow. Good thing the wedding has already taken place.
Kathy, I wasn’t impressed with Cyber Monday either. I received mu Black Friday deals yesterday and today. All that’s left is the wrapping/bagging. The goldfinch brought a friend today, so I guess he likes the cuisine.
Becky, how did PT go? Were your thumb and tush doing better this morning? No news on the scan yet.
I went to pick up my Old Navy package at the UPS store. I thought I would ship it there because of porch pirates. The clerk there was confused about the whole process of me picking up a package with their address on it. It turned into a hassle so I won't be doing that again. I did some paperwork and laundry and am making vegetable soup. Tomorrow no chores for me. Just fun stuff.

Chele, when will Iggy get his test results back? Does he have a followup scheduled with the GI doc? Did he glow in the dark last night? LOL on impulse buys. Dale sometimes does that, but he's not nearly as bad as his DM who was the queen of impulse buying, especially when she had free samples at Sam's. Was your goldfinch back today? We had a nice dinner last night. Hard to believe, that I didn't win the award for most CEUs. Somebody who went to the international master gardeners conference this year got 60 to my measly 47 (average for our group was 17). Last year's winner only had 21, so I was shocked to get beat out. We always have this event catered, so I didn't have to take anything. We had 3 entrees (including vegetarian lasagna), 3 salads, 3 sides, rolls, and dessert. The food was really good. And I know none of us is surprised that I will be president next year. My GF got stuck at work, so I didn't get to give her the plants. That was disappointing. Did you make it to DLM? I used to LOVE a good cream puff. What will you get at Starbucks tomorrow? Sorry you have to fear porch pirates, but a shame getting it delivered to the UPS store was such a challenge. Enjoy the soup. And take a holiday from everything tomorrow, except dinner. Have you figured out what you'll get?
Congrats on listening to Gary yesterday, Liz. I'm so proud of you! With as nasty as the weather was, that could have been dangerous for you. Do you use your cane? I'm glad you stayed upright when Wally decided to leave the back yard. I guess he hasn't totally settled down. Sorry about the Eagles. That's how I feel with the Panthers right now. How did things go today with Workers Health? Good that you have PT tonight to get you out of the office at a decent time.
Linda, I loved the gingerbread cartoon. I wish powdered sugar and milk would make the pain go away. Are you and Micki still in bed?
Hope you're enjoying sweater weather, Kathy? Sorry they probably won't even give the interim coach a fair shake. Sometimes you have to wonder....Yes, selling the house would be an awesome Chritmas gift.
Becky, I was afraid the tush would eventually be sore. I hope your ITBandz will arrive quickly so you can start using them. Is the thumb still colorful? How does it feel? How was PT?
I had my typical Tuesday for the most part. While I was working out on the weight machines, I was a couple of machines away from one of the trainers and he said I was using too much weight for my leg press and changed my weights to a lower number and it really helped. But I feel it right now. So I guess that's a good thing. I got some gift cards bought today but still have a few more to get, hopefully on Thursday. Christmas is 3 weeks from tomorrow, so I need to get a move on so I can get things sent out. The package glut has already started, and we were supposed to get 2 packages today that apparently our postal person couldn't fit in the vehicle that I guess will come tomorrow. The UPS guy said that our local hub had 15,000 packages still on the floor this morning that wouldn't fit on trucks. I also saw something on the news about the delivery companies not being able to hire enough seasonal drivers. I think I have everything ordered that I'm going to buy and just need to get the rest of the gift cards bought and mailed before things get crazier. I don't think I'll be sending out many Christmas cards. What about everyone else?

Karen, I am not sure when the results will be back. Mr. Communication has not advised. Mr Goldfinch brought his mate today. Nice spread last night and with vegetarian options! Ican’t believe you did not win the award for most CEUs after all the time you spent working for MG. Congratulations, Mme President? Will you be able to meet GF before Christmas? I am going to DLM after Wild Birds tomorrow. Then I will stop at Starbucks for an Americano. I will be buzzing all day. I have looked at the menu but no decision yet.

Chele, happy early birthday! Sounds like some fun birthday outings planned for tomorrow. That's crazy on UPS not being able to handle a package being sent there. I thought that was one of their services! I ordered 3 things from Macy's in the same order on Friday and they're coming in 3 separate packages. One of them has been at a UPS facility in Orlando since Sunday and it keeps saying "We've incorrectly sorted this package which may cause a delay.". Then it shows another destination scan and then the same message about the incorrect sorting. Of course, it's the most expensive part of the order. Apparently, they can't get it on the right truck to get to my post office. Madame President, congrats on your new position! The regular mail just came, so I think they're all overloaded with Black Friday purchases. I'm nowhere near done since I don't even have a list for DS and her family. I've gotten her a few surprises, but nothing yet for DBIL or DN. I told her that her gifts will get weirder and weirder if she doesn't give me a list soon, lol. I think all of our energy got sapped with the party and none of us had even thought about Christmas shopping. We will probably do a mall shopping day next week, so I'm hoping to get some things then.
Liz, if you went in today, I hope the commute wasn't too bad. It's 57 and dropping right now. This is my kind of Florida weather!
Linda, hope you had a relaxing day for once.
Becky, hope the PT session went well.

Chele, I looked at the menu and I can see why you can't make up your mind about what to have tomorow night. I can't believe they have soft shelled crab on the appetizer menu. That's my favorite and I haven't had it in years. The Chilean sea bass would also be tempting. Enjoy your Americano buzz. That woul give me more than just a buzz. This group is good about making sure that special dietary options are available. It helps that I'm on the board so they don't have to guess about things. Did you watch 9-1-1? Funny that Chinese takeout was their most popular option. After we had so many Thanksgiving leftovers that I couldn't help eat (Dale froze part of the mac and cheese), we decided we're having sushi for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner. I'll do something special for dessert but haven't decided what.
LOL on weird gifts for DS and family, Kathy. They can't say they weren't warned. Not surprised about your Macy's order coming in separate packages. We get the same thing many times from Amazon. It seems so wrong. And then for one of your packages to be mishandled in transit, and of course, it's the most expensive one. FIFTY-SEVEN degrees? Bet your heat has been on frequently today. Got a blanket on the bed?
My hope is that this year in MG will be boring and predictable, unlike last year.

pried myself out from under the toasty electric blanket, made us poached eggs before Bob went off one of his regular checkups...no kidney stones in years now...
Then I worked at getting to the surface of my desk! Filed, paid bills and mailed stuff in the way to the haircut...had her over 28 years and she is moving to her condo in Hawaii!Sold her house and most of furniture last week. Hope I like the one she shares space with. Hair is quite short again and had a poodle look so I brushed it smooth when I got home and it looks ok.. Afternoon was dog walk and jigsaw puzzle.
Karen congratulations on becoming President. Our mailman said yesterday they got slammed...and cuber Monday will hit him Wed.
Chele, have a great birthday!🍽🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂
Where I lived in Ny they got two feet of snow. We are getting rain tomorrow.

Linda, you must have some curl in your hair. After menopause my hair went straight. It won’t even take a curling iron curl any more. You were busy this afternoon. I am sure you would rather have rain than 2 feet of snow. Thanks for the birthday wishes.
Kathy, UPS has been having problems lately. I had a package that was supposed to be delivered Friday and then the status changed to “in transit” again before it was delivered on Saturday. Multiple packages from the same seller is all kinds of wrong. You can do a live chat with UPS on their website. It beats being on hold on the phone. Sometimes things speed up of you put a bug in their ear. Squeaky wheel and all that. Thanks for the birthday wishes.
Karen, they have scallops which I love but we always have those for our New Year’s dinner, so I will probably go for something else. Maybe an appetizer as the main entree and a side of burgundy mushrooms. I read tonight that the Panthers fired their coach. I am sure he wasn’t surprised. The Chinese takeout reminded me of the movie, A Christmas Story after the dogs ate the turkey.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele Iggy sure cooks a lot lately.Enjoy your birthday dinner.Happy early birthday.I saw a different therapist this morning and I liked her too.She said this whole thing started from my scoliosis and I first found out about that about 20 yrs ago.She said it has tightened my hamstrings and It Bands and with degeneration which is natural with age the knee is really showing it.She also said the left knee is taking a beating because it has to compensate for the right knee. She had me do some stretches while she loosened my tight muscles and when I left there I felt really good. She said to continue to do the WATP videos and recumbent bike only do the bike very slow. She suggested with no resistance but this bike doesn't give me that option so I keep it on level 1.She sent me a few stretches to do at home because she said the muscles would tighten up again and they did.I decided to go back to Elgin this afternoon to do a little retail therapy and then rode the bike about 30 min after I got home so I'm done. The tush is just as sore but I think the thumb is getting a little better every day. It's still bruised but the swelling has gone down quite a bit.
Karen I'm glad you enjoyed the dinner or should I say Madam President?Congrats on the new post.I think the ITBandz should be here sometime Thursday.I received an email and a text this morning. We normally buy our own gifts for birthdays and Christmas and I ordered Kenneth a surprise but neither of us had thought of Christmas being so soon and haven't even decided what we want.I bought some cards yesterday but I will see how many I get sent out.
Kathy I ordered 2 things from Macy's and they are coming in 2 different packages.
