Karen, thanks again for opening the thread. It must be headache/sinus weather all over. I woke up yesterday with a sinus headache and drainage. It took a couple of hours before I felt ready to do anything. How are the sinuses this morning? Did you get your packages? Did Dale arrive home tick free?
Becky, your PT sounds fantastic. I am glad the stretches are helping. It doesn’t take much to make older bodies stiff. You should see me getting out of a car after an hour’s drive. Happy Belated Birthday to DB!
Liz, you are Iron Woman. Your ability to work through pain is astounding. I couldn’t do it with the commute that you have. How was PT?
Kathy, shopping yesterday wasn’t too bad but I did not go to an indoor mall. I was at Mom and Pop shops. They get crowded on the weekends. Have you taken the dive yet? What is the weirdest present you ever received? My DM would come up with some strange ones for Iggy like miniature tools with magnets that you could change the tips on.
Linda, how are the head and sinuses today? Did the soup do the trick? I had a spate of robo calls last week. Is it still raining?
I had a fun day yesterday shopping and getting my birthday freebies. The restaurant did not have any birthday freebies, but we enjoyed the food. I had my once a year cocktail-a Bloody Mary. They make their own mix and it was good. Instead of a celery stick they had a shrimp on the rim. We tried the crab dip and I had the appetizer crab cakes and Burgundy mushrooms. Iggy a d shrimp and scallops with cilantro rice and broccolini. We always share our food, so we got to taste it all and we liked it all. I slept well because of the vodka.
Today I am doing laundry and digging out some Christmas things. I just finished my workout and now to clean the kitchen. Birthday fun over!

Linda, are you feeling better today? Some days it's just better to stay in bed for a while. I woke up with headaches the past 2 mornings. I don't think they are migraines because they are across the back of my head a couple inches above my neck. I even used a different pillow last night in case that was the problem and it didn't help. How was Julia's potato and leek soup? Leeks seem to stimulate my kidneys for some reason. That sounds like a wicked sky you had to the north last night. Boo hiss on all the robo calls. I seem to be getting a lot more of them lately, too. With continuing PT will the stiffness not come back, Becky, or at least not so quickly? Dale did not bring home any more ticks yesterday. Last week's bite still hasn't completely healed, however. When do you go back to PT? How is it going on the bike these days? Chele, no sinus drainage this morning. Did have the headache I mentioned to Linda, but it faded after taking a couple Butterbur with Feverfew capsules. Still haven't figured out what caused it. And, I didn't do much of anything yesterday. Didn't even exercise, which is really unusual for me. Dinner sounds delicious, and you had a nice variety. I wondered how the cilantro rice would be when I saw it on the menu. You needed a good night's sleep anyway. What time did you get up this morning? Yesterday's shopping excursion sounds like fun. Did you get the laundry done? I need to figure out what I'm going to put up for Christmas and send Dale over the garage to get what I need. When will you decorate? How was PT, Liz? I hope St. Crazy hasn't worn you down too far this week. Even 4 days is a lot with the commute added in. Kathy, are your regular season football games over? We'll watch App State at Noon, Georgia-LSU at 4, and Clemson at 7:30. Any Christmas shopping plans made yet? I think all my shopping is done. I decided to get DSIL a Kohls gift card instead of Belk because I know she loves Kohls. They only had 2 cashiers working and I thought I was going to be late for Osteo because they were 2 very slow cashiers. On the way home I stopped at the very busy Bass Pro Shop where I stood in line for about half an hour to buy gift cards for DNs and DGNs. But they had them on sale--yes, gift cards on sale at 10% off, so it was almost worth the extra time. Then it was off to Big Lots for the last 2 gift cards for DN#1 and her son. Now all I have to do is put them in envelopes and get everything ready to be mailed out. I think Dale is going to take them to the PO either Monday or Wednesday, and I guess that will be his contribution to the process. I also had a quick trip to Publix and dropped off a load of glass at the recycling center. Over 11K steps for the day, so I'm a bit tired.

Karen, thanks for the start. My regular season football games are over, but I'll probably watch the Georgia-LSU game. I'm rooting for LSU to win it all this year. We're heading up to Sanford tomorrow. There is a nice mall there, plus a lot of other standalone stores. I don't think the crowds will be too crazy yet, at least not on Friday. It will be nice to go on a weekday. No wonder you're tired, but you got a lot done! Chele, sounds like a very nice birthday. Glad you enjoyed the dinner and cocktail. I got all the Christmas stuff down from the closet and dragged the tree down the hall and into the living room. Now to stand it up... I'm drawing a blank on strangest gift, but I know I've gotten some strange ones over the years. I remember telling my DM I needed some new tops and telling her I didn't want orange or stripes. So, what does she give me? An orange shirt with black stripes!! We had a good laugh about it and it went back to the store.
Waving to Liz, Becky, and Linda.

Kathy...so halloween bumblebee?
I took advil and 12 hour nasal spray last night to get to the dentist without the drip or headache. Started day at dentist for two fillings in front teeth...the one was larger than average because it developed unseen under bonding that leaked. Then spread to the next tooth and became obvious. He said he put protection on the nerve but I might have weeks of months of cold sensitivity while it healed , root canal if the sensation went past one minute after a week. It did not react to careful exposure to iced tea...fingers crossed and knock on wood. back teeth ache from sinus again and tmj from dental work..think the drill vibration does it.
So we went to see Knives Out...a mystery along the lines of Agatha Cristie and Clue...house set was great as the victim was a mystery writer with odd taste. The family out the fun in dysfunctional. Nice change.
Tried the new crepe place. nearby. Was good and gas savory, but I want ti try the fruit filled with chocolate on top.
That was very late lunch so I left dh to his own devices...favorite pizza and pasta delivered place did not answer.he had wine so I went down the mile...property owner seized it and closed it! Been there 25 years! I went next door to organic bakery and bought a cinnamon roll and gossip.
DH had a salami sandwich and leftover soup.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele I have seen 2 different therapists. The one I had Tuesday seemed to help me more than the main one I saw last week and today.I don't feel like I got as much relief today.I'm glad you enjoyed shopping on your birthday.
Karen The stiffness will keep coming back until they have loosened up the muscles involved.Today it didn't seem to help as much.I received my ITBandz this afternoon and so far I can't tell any difference but I'm sure it will just take time. The bike still hurts my IT band and behind my knee.I only do 15 minutes at home and they just have me do 10 min at PT.Next week I will go on Wed and Fri so hopefully I can go to WW to WI for the month.
Linda I hope you don't have weeks of cold sensitivity from your dental work.
