I said look at this label ! It contained hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, sugar, and I can't recall what other nonsense. Ugh. It should contain peanuts and salt if you want that. Period. Honestly, I'm not sure how this post could be considered anything but judgey. You were judging your sister's food choice, and by extension the rest of us that have a jar of Skippy or Jif or Peter Pan residing in our cupboards. If you are going to make posts judging other people's food choices, don't be offended when they call you judgey.

This goes back 40 years but I use to get my peanut butter at a health food store. They ground it while you waited. Whole Paycheck Foods has a self-service machine where people grind their own Peanut butter. They may also have one or more additional machines for other nuts like Almonds—I don’t really remember.

I feel like all the supermarkets I go to around here have a self serve PB grinder. I've never used one.
And fullmahina those PB cookies sound to die for! My favorite cookie ever is the mrs Fields's PB. Very soft and gooey. I like them slightly under baked in the center.

My favorite cookie ever is the mrs Fields's PB. Very soft and gooey. I like them slightly under baked in the center. Those peanut butter grinders...I have always thought that they were candidates for rancid oils if they were not cleaned on a regular basis. Eww. Yes, those PB cookies are absolutely to die for! There are a few tweaks that I've done because I have a penchant for supremely light and not leaden cookies ALWAYS but yeah...to die for. DH likes the addition of chocolate chips and instead of mashing them with a fork I form them into balls and they get that cool crackly finish as they rise and fall and settle into perfection. DH likes them slightly crisp but they have to be removed from the oven before they over-brown on the bottom. They will puff and then drop and then they are PERFECT. Okay...PB cookies are on the agenda for this week, lol.

I had to stop baking PB cookies because they were an extreme trigger food for me. I literally don't stop eating them until almost gone!
