I'm IN.
Soggy day; just perfect (note of sarcasm, here) for laying wreaths in a cemetery - Young Marines are participating in Wreaths across America today. But the temps will be in the 50s and we will all dry out eventually.
I'm sipping coffee... ☕☕☕... and meditating on the cost of freedom...
❄☔❄☔❄☔❄☔❄ Have a healthy-eating day, all! ❄☔❄☔❄☔❄☔❄

You need good rain gear. I'm in, planned and partly tracked.

Good morning! I'm in!
diva49, yes, warm thoughts and thankfulness for those who served and those laying the wreaths today.
Been very depressed, yesterday was a very bad day. Just can's fathom how SIL can really be gone. It's so hard. It brings back so many feelings of when my daughter passed too. But hoping the two have found each other again makes it a bit easier.
Will check in later.

Lissakp54, sorry that you're having such a tough time right now... Good morning. Outside decorations are done except for a little fill-in of spots that look a little bare in the pine roping. I cut pieces from extra roping and tie them in with floral wire to fluff up the slightly naked areas of the roping. The Costco roping is the fullest I've found but it still can have areas that are less plump than I like. It looks like it will be raining all day. We've reserved this weekend for cleaning and indoor decorating and then we should be done with the Christmas chores. When I think of what I did years ago with kids and baking and shopping while working full-time I am so grateful for retirement! I have slacked off shamefully in the holiday department---when I think of what I used to do compared to what I do now I am amazed that I lived through those years, lol! The only things I bake now are a few cookies for DH and a gingerbread loaf cake. Not quite sure what we will be doing as far as any entertaining goes but it won't be much and the menu is already planned---appetizer platter, baked ham, mac and cheese, homemade biscuits, a few veggies. Easy. I got my flu shot Thursday and except for a sore arm, a bit of malaise and an episode of chills, all is well I think. They say the flu season this year is going to be a particularly rough one and I sure hope this flu shot is effective against whatever is out there. Got on the scale this morning and I am still in hovering mode which I consider a success at this time of the year. Two more weeks of holding on by my fingernails. Watching the rain melt the snow and enjoying my coffee. Wishing all a stress-less peaceful day.

Checking in late. We took mom to a Christmas tea at the Brown Palace. It was just beautiful and we all four enjoyed the atmosphere and the time spent together. What a treat!
