Kathy, you donāt get hail often, do you? I read that the SpaceX missile lost its nose cap in the sea and they were hoping to catch it and reuse it.
Becky, I hope the massagers loosen up those muscles so the knees will feel better. I have a foam roller that I use for my back and hips to loosen them up.
Linda, I am glad the shot pain is easing up. I am sure Micki is also glad not to be at ācampā right now. Have you given him his new bed or are you waiting for Christmas? I remember heating up water to pour on my college housemateās car door so she could go do her teaching trainee job. We lived in a university owned house with no garage. She was from Syracuse so she was used to it.
Karen, may St Joseph be with you in getting your house sold with no problems. Sorry the eye doctor kept you waiting. Do you have to use artificial tears for your dry eyes? I know there is no cure for macular degeneration just eat healthy and exercise which you already do. I am glad the cataracts are slow growers.
It is only 20Ā° here right now and 25Ā° is going to be the high. I have a couple of errands to do south of town but I wonāt be doing any unnecessary gallivanting. It is achy breaky weather and things they are aching. I have been walking the house this morning to get the joints oiled up. I may have to fill the feeder again. The birds having been eating to keep warm.

Chele, it's not unusual for us to get some hail with these storms. We're at 50 right now and it's very dark and dreary looking outside. We might not break 60 with the cloud cover. Low tonight is supposed to be 47 and then it starts warming a little. The Christmas forecast says 76/63. It's quite a bit colder where you are. Stay warm!

Good afternoon chicks and thanks for the start Chele. Chele - sounds like you are having similar weather to us. I made it to the dentist safely which was a blessing. The news wasn't good but wasn't terrible either. I will need to have 10 teeth pulled; 8 on top and 2 on the bottom. I will have a full upper denture and a partial for the bottom. I won't do anything until after the first of the year. I will need to pay out of pocket for an "immediate denture" which can be put in right after having the teeth pulled. This way I'm not walking around work for 8 weeks with no teeth ! You've been taking great care of the birdies so I am sure they are loving you to the max! Kathy - wow on the hail and cooler temps for you. That's a pretty big drop for you all at once. We will only have a high of 27 tomorrow so it will be a cold one. Linda - how goes it with the finger? Nice picture from yesterday! I'm not a drinker but one of my favorite holiday hot drinks is hot cocoa with Bailey's and mini marshmallows. It's a treat but very comforting to be sure. Becky - I hope all went well with PT and that they were able to loosen those muscles up. I have one more session tomorrow evening and then I'm going to stop. Of course in the meantime I have an Itbandz on one knee and a Tommy Copper sleeve on the other . How cute that Scooter gets so excited about Kenneth's friend. Karen - I hope Cactus Jack survived the wind and storm alright. Sending the best karma for all things to go well with the sale of the house and signing of the contract. No PT on the weekends where I go so it isn't an option. If I find it's a problem, I can have them send the notes to my PT department here at the hospital and continue here if needs be. There was immense icing yesterday and when I got home from the dentist; one tree branch had fallen and almost hit a neighbor's car and another whole tree fell and did break a neighbor's back car window and rip off the spoiler. There was glass and ice everywhere . How are you feeling? How are those storms that seemed to be brewing down by you? I am off to fight the forces of evil once again. We are 99% occupancy and the ED is in "surge 2" once again. Be safe and have a good day dear ladies; ciao for now~

Thanks for the start, Chele. When does Iggy fly back in? Unless the rent-to-own people dug it up, there still should be a St. Joseph statue buried by the front porch. Maybe that's how we got such a quick offer this time. The eye doctor recommended Systane Complete and gave me a couple of samples. I found them cheaper on Amazon than even Walgreens, so I will have to place an order after Christmas. I have to put warm compresses over my eyes for at least 5 minutes twice a day and then massage upper and lower eyelids, plus the drops as often as needed. For what ever reason, he said I am making enough tears but they are drying faster than they should. He said eat lots of leafy greens and limit oil consumption, which I do anyway, for the dry macular, which is in early stages. I just have to force myself back into eating salads every day, which I don't always want to do (and can be tough during recalls). I had a feeling your winged visitors would get a bit hungrier as the temps dropped and a number of their typical food sources disappeared til spring. Are you going to have to make a trip to Wild Birds Unlimited sooner than expected?
Linda, definitely fingers crossed on financing. Hoping they were pre-qualified. I believe I remember that last week was the end of your museum work for the year, so what did you do today? How's the finger doing? Mine isn't too bad, except I knocked it pretty good unloading the dishwasher and found out it's still pretty sensitive. Fortunately, it didn't start bleeding again.
How did PT go today, Becky? Did you get to 31 for the low this morning? We got into the mid 20s, so a bit warmer than they said it would. 40s for the next couple days then warming into the 50s and 60s. It looks like we may be able to eat Christmas dinner on the screened porch. That would be awesome! It's very odd on the mother and baby from Austin. There's been no mention of a ransom nor any signs of a struggle at the house where they were supposedly taken from. I also don't think she would have voluntarily left her son behind if she went of her own volition. Which fitness tracker are you wearing these days? My VS4 is still bothering my wrist, but I'm wearing the display on the inside of my wrist and that seems to be helping some. I'm looking at replacing it with either the Vivoactive 4S or the Vivomove 3s, both round but smaller than most of the round displays. One is $300 and the other is $250, so I think I'll suck it up until after we get the house sold because we are having to still pay mortgage, insurance, and taxes there. Maybe someone will have some sales or they will come out with another model and will drop prices.
Kathy, how cold did you actually get this morning? With the continuing clouds, probably not as low as they predicted. How much rain did you end up with? Cactus Jack was apparently unscathed from his tumble and all the lights seem to be fine. That's great that the young kids missing there were found. Were they local or tourists? Are you planning to finish your shopping today?
I hope the commute wasn't too icy this morning, Liz. YIKES on the dentist! Yes, it wouldn't look terribly professional to be working without all those teeth for 8 weeks. DN#1 had to have all of hers pulled and it took her about a year before she could get implants. She wasn't smiling much for that year, but she now shows off that pretty smile and I tell her every chance I get. Do you have the appointment scheduled yet? Using hospital PT resources would be a good option, especially if it offers some flexibility for you. That department doesn't report to you, does it? I had a feeling the the ER census woud be way up. Change of seasons tend to do that and we officially will arrive in winter very shortly. Do you have a garage or are you at the mercy of the elements? Feeling a little tired but not bad. Today will pretty much be a rest day with just a few things to do around the house.
Dale went to the state park trails and Arya and I are hanging around the house. I did the first layer of the ice cream cakes and they are downstairs in the big freezer. I have to get some non-dairy whipped topping for mine tomorrow at Earth Fare and I think I have everything else I need to finish them up, which will take until the weekend. I did my workout on the rowing machine before Dale left. I also cooked a batch of speckled butter beans and will saute ground beef for Arya closer to when Dale will be home so I won't have to carry all those little glass jars down to the big freezer. I still don't trust my knees going down the stairs with objects in my hands. I need to get ready for my Knoxville trip tomorrow, but not much else on today's agenda.

Liz, it's nice to get a little cooler weather before Christmas. Sorry to hear about all the dental work ahead, but that's good that you can get something temporary. Hope your commute isn't too bad. Be careful with all that ice!
Karen, we were in the 50s this morning which is what they predicted. We dropped 20 degrees, but did not get anywhere near the 20s! Big difference. The young kids were local and had wandered off and spent the night in some kind of structure in the woods. I haven't heard an update, so I don't know if they attempted to run away or if something else happened. DM and I are finishing up on shopping tomorrow. I just have a couple of gift cards and some wine and liquor gifts to get. We're also stopping by the Goodwill place to drop off some things. They have a drive through and come out and get everything for you, so it's an easy way to donate. I'm glad Cactus Jack survived his tumble!

Glad the cactus is ok. My finger is like yours, ok but does not want to be bumped. Very gingerly changing giant band aid and washing ut each night as they said ti. Hard to keep it dry and get anything done.
Liz, thought of you when read about early flu season and bad weather there. Glad the teeth can be dealt with, but ouch.
Definitely cold mornings here and stiff breeze. Gets cold again before sunset. hmmm better go recover the tomato, pepper, chard pot! Micki's new bed is almost too small with blanket on it, one side rolled to add to bed height, but he got comfy and stayed in it!
Questers party was fun, especially the white elephant gift exchange. Ate too much! yogurt for supper for me.Italian leftovers for Bob.

Thanks for the start Chele. It is hard to believe Christmas is just one week away. The massager does help some.Heat and my stretches seem to help more than anything.I understand about achy breaky parts.
Liz I'm glad you made it to the dentist safely.I have a full set of dentures. They didn't have the implants when I had mine done and now I couldn't afford them.Ouch on having them put in after they are pulled.
Kathy I think it's supposed to get up to 70 on Christmas Day here.
Karen I hope the Systane Complete helps you.I have dry eyes where my eyes don't make tears and Systane Ultra is the only thing that helps me.I don't have the macular degeneration so mine is different than yours. They missed it on the 31 for the low.It was 19 here this morning.Dang it was cold.It warmed up to 60 briefly and it was a beautiful day. They are predicting a low of 30 for in the morning so it will be cooler here.PT went well. The therapist could tell I have been doing my stretches and using the massager. She got the right knee to lay flat on the mat which didn't happen on Monday. She thinks the immense pain on Monday was from the drop in barometric pressure. My knees still hurt but I can finally see a little improvement so there's at least hope now I may be able to put off surgery for awhile.
Linda I'm glad you enjoyed the party.
