Sunday I want to have a quiet laid back day. Friends invited us to a house party in late afternoon. I'm just not up to attending, so I graciously bowed out. I may bundle up and take a walk with LuLa and Carl and then just spend the day reading listening to music reflecting and maybe watch an upbeat Christmas movie. Like Becky, I'm feeling somewhat nostalgic missing those no longer present......when I feel this way, it's best to remain by myself with Carl and LuLa to lean on. Sleep well

Ann, a quiet day is always good. I understand how you feel. Let us know if you find a good movie. I was watching the newest episodes of the Crown and they have been sad. I plan to stay at home too other than walking the dog. Bob is grilling shrimp for dinner. I’ll make rice and a salad.

Thanks for understanding Audrey. More than likely we'll watch A Christmas Story. One of our all time favorites. Your day and meal sound great.

Ann There are those times when a quiet moment is needed to feel whatever is presenting or manifesting. Sitting with those feelings and memories. . . I think is natural. . .and even a sign that love we shared survives and echoes here.
((Hugs))
Audrey Allegedly, the Queen is aware of "The Crown." Have not seen it, but am familiar w/ some of the bits of the tabloids' take of Brit royals.

Stopping by to check in. Went out yesterday and roads were congested. Ended up buying a rotisserie chicken and french fries for our lunch and were glad to get home. I did buy a feather duster, floor mats for the back door, a trash can for outside and a few other things before we returned for lunch. A prime minister has been voted in to try to form a cabinet and there are mixed feelings in the street... Sunday we will tackle another project, sprinkle or dredge the cooked in syrup orange rinds then store them, make something for meals and talk to my son and his family via Skype. It will be a good day.
I will be mindful and aware of what I put into my mouth but am in tread-water mode till my daughter leaves the 28th

Good morning, Ann - Becky - Audrey - June - Cathy - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... and for Son#1, who is some better but still <meh>...
🎄☀️🎄☀️🎄☀️🎄☀️🎄
The temps today will break 40* - we're having a heat wave! And it's supposed to be sunny, too. We don't have any errands that we MUST run, so I may just sit in a sunbeam and enjoy.
The Kressling appeared on our doorstep last night, as per plan, carrying a box of chocolate donuts to share with Peepa. But when we tried to get the details of "today's" soccer practice, we discovered that Son#1 had mis-read the e-mail (it came in when he was really sick). The practice was yesterday, Saturday 12/21. So we DON'T have to get up early today (note to self: that should mean Mj too, LOL). K'ling2 and the Zigster have wrestling today so I think we have the Kressling all day. I will find him something to do, and something to eat, and enjoy his hugs.
The plans for KressMess Eve at the MousekeHouse are still not finalized. The chicken & ribs are ordered, for the "usual" pickup time for a local venue - so we're just going to step back and wait.
Now to make up today's KressMess Countdown list and see what I've been procrastinating about.
Hot coffee... ☕☕☕... breakfast...
🎄☀️🎄☀️🎄☀️🎄☀️🎄 Have a healthy-eating day, all! 🎄☀️🎄☀️🎄☀️🎄☀️🎄

<<<hugs>>> Ann and Becky Enjoy your quiet day as well Audrey Well said June Hope things settle down politically Cathy. Glad you are enjoying the time with your daughter. Enjoy that 2nd cup of tea June. It's been a rough year for you. Hope 2020 is much better. MJ - Sometimes you just have to step back and let them do what they need to do. The humane society posted a notice of me adopting Midnight on FB. I shared on my page. We had a good bonding day yesterday. Ferals have been fed. Carol gave me a blanket to put in their house but there was already a large soft one in there and the house is toasty warm for them. Once I finish my coffee I will head to the gym, a little shopping (great bargains at Shoprite MJ!) and then lunch with old friends. Tuna tartar and seaweed salad and wine are planned for. The rest of the day will be football and time with the cats who are seeking extra attention.

Good morning all. Woke up with plenty of sunshine Temps are cold, but the sunshine looks pretty reflecting off the snow. No wind so that's always a plus CAthy happy that your roads were open. Rotisserie chicken is my 'go to' meal to bring home. I'm sure you enjoyed it. I agree with June...treading water is a good thing. Enjoy your day June great goals. I shall join you in counting my many blessings MJ enjoy your sunbeam coffee and hopefully a less hectic Sunday Susi so happy that you and Midnight are beginning to really bond All good. Midnight is a very lucky kitty Waving and will CBL. Going to enjoy a very laid back day.

Awww... you are all too kind. Thx you!
Mj Ha ha ha... can I say that I liked the way the version of Saturday & Sunday better than the way they were supposed to go? Enjoy those hugs!
Is DS feeling better?
Nothing wrong w/ stepping back and seeing how things work out. As long as the "mains" are ordered, the rest can fall into place even if something is forgotten. And if something is overlooked, what is improvised might become one of the KressMess's fav Xmas memory. Am betting there is a lot of food lurking in the hostess' pantry & freezer, so that no one would go underfed!
Susi Love that a blanket was ready in place for the ferals. Such kindness. Love even more that Midnight's adoption is featured! (And just maybe it will occur to the PTB that automatically rejecting a home like yours is not always a good policy. More willingness = more loving homes for cats inneed, esp. older ones). Great plan for being OP even during the holidays.
THis year will take more processing on my part, for sure. Am grateful that I am now rested enough that I have the energy to do so. Smooth sailing would have been much nicer, but being able to weather storms has merit, too. Life... you just never know.

June I really loved the Life...you just never know..... I am all planned and tracked! It's going to be COMFORT FOOD for supper.....pasta meatballs sausage and garlic bread. Weigh in won't be pretty tomorrow, but so be it. It's what I'm craving and if there is one thing I've learned is to NOT eat around a craving Have a wonderful day, all!
