MOVE IT MONDAY.... HOW will you MOVE IT today? I will try to step away from my desk each hour - and as much as it will KILL me to do the stairs, I want to get back to that! So I will try to pay more attention to the Fit-bit "vibration" on my arm each hour! TRY being the best I can possibly do at this point! I also need to plan a walk up to Matt's bank, so that will give me more steps for the day!
Yesterday was a killer on my back and feet... got most things checked off my list - but it wasn't easy! LOL Still have gifts to wrap, and food to prep for Wednesday - but tonight and tomorrow... and Wednesday morning... it will get done!
Today I must hit 99 & $ Tree absolute MUST... then home to a quick easy dinner... not sure what yet... and carry on with finishing some things!
OK Need to refill my coffee, and catch up here ♥

Gabrielle: OH I hope you had fun at the mall with DS20 yesterday! I have to say - this holiday season - I avoided the mall completely! Maybe next year I should MAKE myself go - just once - might get my holiday "spirit" back? Or might make me more crazy than I already am?? LOL No by next year I will have a better mindset on things...
So glad you can help out your friend - by bringing a dinner... bet it was nice to see/visit with them for a bit.
WOW to your coach "miscalculating" your route! OUCH!
Oh my dear friend... I am so NOT "on top" of anything this year!! This seems to be the year of "change of plans" for me!!
January 5, Tracy begins her new job - her OWN shift... alone on the phones... she is excited - but also a little nervous I think. She'll never admit it though! She is working today 7-3, then off until Friday! Lucky girl this one!
DH just asked yesterday if I want a prime rib... they have them at the store... not sure I want one when I have to "hurry" to get it done... thinking on it though... hmmm, wonder if they will drop the price if I wait a few more days! ! Actually trying to get DH to take Saturday off - the 28th... just want to get in the car and go SOMEWHERE... ANYWHERE... his youngest brother wants to see when we can come for a visit, maybe Sunday would be good... if I can get him to take the day off from the mountain?
Enjoy your time off this week. Will Ty & Kate join you on Christmas day too??
No planning done for this week - except got my salad ready to take for lunch today. Made a quick chicken pot pie for dinner last night (used up the last of my cooked chicken) and with the holidays I didn't want to over plan the upcoming week! We will have leftovers... and I can easily order a salad OUT for lunch Thursday/Friday if I have to!
Yes the pot luck "works" for us now...
OH I did get my pies done - now to deliver them! Maybe this evening... Also got the cake/torte done, all we ave to do Wednesday is drizzle hot fudge on it!
LOL While I am glad I am not the only one, NOT wanting to keep in touch with co-workers after retirement... it is kind of sad too! I wish I had that "Family" feeling at work - but just don't! Oh I do have some others that no longer work with me NOW, we try to get together each summer when one couple is home from FL... that's fun! Oh and my once a month drinks with the girls was always one co-worker and one former co-worker... sad to say the current co-worker, no longer wants to take part! She now wants to keep work separate from personal! ? Seriously... ? Whatever - I can't worry about her thought process right now!
LOL Yes, I had my music playing yesterday - but with my little love bug here, I didn't get to hear much! I do so LOVE having Zoë here, and I will probably never say NO to taking her - but I have to say, yesterday I was looking forward to my being alone for a few hours... I got "almost" 1 hour here alone! Oh well... time with her is more important than my alone time... I can be alone when the girls are too old to want to come to Gramma's house!
Jenny: YAY for a night out - to see Audrey, time with your parents... but OUCH... hope DF will be OK! Glad nothing "broke" but MAN a fall can still mess with ya'!
Glad you had some time to just take it easy.
Ugh, I know... but it's their age I guess... Some of the "kids" I work with are ALWAYS on line gaming, and playing games... Personally I don't get it!
Yes, definitely going to enjoy the quiet work place this week... and come Saturday I will enjoy being ALONE while at work!
Sue: We got up to high 40s yesterday - but it still felt COLD, the sun was NOT shining as bright as I had planned! It was sunny, but, eh - didn't matter I was inside most of the day anyway!
Glad Rita's being gone won't impact you too much! LOL Well my shopping was the grocery store... can't do that too early in the year! Gotta have fresh food in the house!
Hmm not trying to be "sneaky" but you cannot put gifts under a tree and have all the labels showing! Just no way!
I know... not sure how I ever cleaned my house with 3 kids underfoot! They have one!
I can only imagine how excited you are to do Christmas with the other grandkids next year! I am still on the fence as to which week I want... the week before - and time to finish it all up? Or the week after, when I can just relax, since the holiday will be all over!! Truthfully I am leaning towards that one! LOL NOTHING to have to do!
OMGosh Sue, my Tracy is so NOT a baker... she can follow the recipe for pie filling, and she CAN bake a cake or whatever - but ummmm, sometimes its just easier to do it myself!
I am sure that Todd will let you keep your hours - as they are now - what reason would he have for making you work 8-5, if you are the only one doing what you do?? Unless there are others in your area/department that will want the same privilege?? Fingers crossed he lets you do your own thing!

♥hugs♥

Morning Carole and all to come.....not much time to sit, have lots of stuff to load into the car for work!!
Feel like I slept really well last night....will need to sync my FitBit to see what that says.
Tonight I will finish Hannah's calendar....It's about 2/3 finished now, just need to finish adding the birthdays and updating the pictures! All the tops are done. I always just send hers to her directly. I need to finish today to save 65%....only $4.99 if I get it done today!! The pressure is on! I'm in the home stretch so not worried.
Waves to all....enjoy the day!

Good morning Carole, Sue, and ATF! Moving it today for me will be doing last minute stuff. I made the chili yesterday so it can sit in the frig today for the flavor to brew and then be ready for reheating tomorrow. I found my caramel recipe and Greg is hinting how nice it would be if I made those again, so I'm going to the store in a bit to get ingredients for them. I have an item that needs to be sent back, but I think I will wait till after Christmas for that. I don't have an appropriate mailing container, but maybe something that gets opened on Christmas day can be turned into one!
Friday was my last day of the last assignment, but on Jan. 6 I will be helping grade exams in the Employment section of the same building. I'm not sure what that will equal, but since they are letting me keep my morning hours, I decided that I better say yes and be happy. It is a vacant position so I just hope that it doesn't go too long term and begin to feel like a permanent job. At this point, I feel like that equals about 2-3 months. So I'm happy that I have that settled and still have a couple of weeks off.
I need to run, I also need to do some cleaning. Kim will be staying with us for 3 nights. Try to BBL and catch up on reading.

Good morning!
Went with DH to meet a couple friends to do our one-hour run -- a nice break from the TM. We had to meet at 6:00 am (leave the house by 5:15) and that hour came early...DS20 called at 2:00 am and the truck had broken down along the highway. So....we went down to meet him (about a 25 min drive) and, for some reason, the truck started right up --- still, there is something that must be checked. DS had been at a friend's house and decided he wanted to sleep at home....ugh. Got home at 3:20 am and tried to sleep before waking up at 4:45 am. Anyway...today is a new day and I am NOT at work
Carole: Thanks for starting us off today! Oh, I do hope that you can convince Ken to take Saturday off and go for a nice drive! It's so pretty where you live---there must be some beautiful places to drive. Yay for Tracy starting so soon! She must be so happy! Is she still hoping to find her own place? Living where you do (not is a highly populated area) it must be tough to find the right place--not so much inventory. Hey, we know that you love having the girls there! But we also know that EVERYONE needs their own time...especially in your own home! Glad that you got at least an hour. LOL, yes, I am kind of dreading seeing the price on the prime rib when I pick it up...only cooking for 8 people so not as bad as it could have been in past years. I know that the kids love gaming....I have worked with coworkers who really love it--usually they are somehow associated with our technology dept. It is harder to "get" for those of us who are not into it, but we learn to accept it! I like that DS25 and DS20 "play" games together from across the miles every now and then....kind of fun to hear. Hope that you have a good day today and that it is low key. Yes, you can always pick up salads later in the week---only do what you can for now.

Jenny: What a nice evening with your parents! How scary about your dad though....he must have some strong bones. I am SO afraid of my mom falling. I just know of too many elderly people whose health really took a turn after an injury from falling. Your dinner sounded yummy too! I made split pea soup yesterday with the ham bone left over from the ham we cooked for the party--it hit the spot on a cold night. So Audrey must have the next two weeks off, right? It's nice to have this family time
Sue: What a fun gift for Jason! Wonderful that he hasn't noticed that Netflix isn't there....he is going to love it! Hope that work goes well for you--I know that this year will be different than next year (thinking of who will be there)---new traditions are always something that you might enjoy though!
Lisa: So, it sounds like you will be making caramels, LOL! How great that Kim is coming for 3 nights! Her husband too, I hope? Nice that you get a break AND have a new position in January--I am sure that you are a great, dependable employee and it is showing with all of the offers you have received. Hope that you have a good day today!
Hello to Christine, Shelly, Jo, and all who follow. Need to do some laundry--somehow I have fallen WAY behind. Happy to be in my slippers at 9:00 am though! See you all later....
