Ann I will join you in counting my blessings.I am thankful for each and every one of you and wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas.
Our SS checks did get deposited tonight so we need to make a hopefully quick trip to Walmart,go to the hardware store and the feed store. We will probably eat out at a local BBQ place.I will get smoked turkey breast and pinto beans if we go.They have a senior plate where you get a smaller portion of turkey, brisket or sausage with one side so we always order that. That way I can get turkey and Kenneth can have either brisket or sausage since he doesn't like turkey. I may pick up a snack tray for Christmas Eve and maybe something different for Christmas Day.
Enjoy your families friends.

My Mom and brother will be with us tomorrow at my house. Cooking a beef roast and several other things. I have Mom's cake ready for her. We are all having lunch together, will visit for a while then we'll go to the Christmas Eve service at church. Not sure I'll be on plan but I'll try to watch portions. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and evening. Ann, will also be thinking of you all So glad you are all a part of my life. I hope the hot water made things feel better. Becky, glad those checks came through. The meal at the bbq place sounds just right. Hope you find something different for your Christmas day meal.

Becky, I am glad the checks were deposited and hopefully you can do all of your errands to then enjoy lunch at the BBQ place. LaDonna, sounds like a busy day for you so you won't have to worry too much if you aren't eating totally perfectly. I have to pick up cakes at the bakery and then the roast at the nearby market. It did not sink in until this morning that this is Christmas Eve. Our kids do things with their children so DH and I will have a quiet meal at home. Then Wednesday morning our son is hosting a brunch. We will have Christmas dinner that evening but just Laura and family as well as Rachel's sister-in-law. Rob and family are going to his in laws and I have no idea what Rachel and her husband and baby are doing. It's fine because I had my house full of people last week. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas.

Gooooooood morning!
Thank you all for being a constant blessing in my life. I wish you and yours much happiness and good health during this time of celebration of faiths.
Ann Hope that you had a peaceful night of rest. Will work on the hydration w/ you. Adult sippy cups-- need to find a better one...
Becky Wonderful that there was no delay in the deposits. Great not to have that hanging over your heads. Am also braving the crowds this morning at the store. (R used up all my potatoes, and I am to bring mashed potatoes). I am debating on hitting W Mart in a half hour or being at local Aldi's or Marc's when the store opens.
LaDonna How nice that your family can join you for dinner. Bet that cake will put a smile on your mom's face! Awareness and eating a little less is a solid plan for a holiday meal.
Cathy Sounds quiet pleasant and peaceful to meander on a beach. Glad that you & your daughter could make some good memories. Hope that the computer refurbishing does the trick!

Christmas Eve Sip a second cup of tea. Give thanks.
Your girl actually cried tears of joy yesterday. The gas company repairman came to inspect damage to the meter from waterproofer. At first, he proposed one simple repair-- tighten a coupling knocked loose and to shovel away some dirt. (Contractor's worker hit the meter with the backhoe, spinning the regulator, loosening the bolt and knocking the entire unit forward and sidewise). We told him the situation. Said that would be grateful for the minor improvements & an updated inspection report.
The young man replaced the entire unit and performed an extension diagnostic! He said that we deserved a break from all that we have been through and that it was Christmas, after all.
I was so overwhelmed. He could have spent 1/2 hr - 3/4 hr and said "good enough." Thankful for the kindness of others.

Good morning, Ann - Becky - LaDonna - Audrey - Cathy - June - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... and for Son#1, who is some better but still <meh>...
Prayers of thanksgiving are going up that my socSecurity $$ hit our account today. Becky, your post re: the SS checks led me to check MY account - I am delighted that the funds hit "a day early" (I was concerned that it would be "a day later" instead). ✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨
DivaTaxi's done its morning run; we'll be on duty this afternoon for when Son#1 gets home. And we're also tasked with touching base with DaBoyz now and then during the day. I have a checkup with my PC at 10 AM; let's see if I'm on her naughty or nice list.
The Big'Uns still don't have a starting time for KressMess Eve at the MousekeHouse. We are going to pick up the chicken & ribs and hold them in a low oven here.
So we're looking forward to a relaxed day. What is done, is done. What isn't, can be done without. Sharing loving time together without the angst of "seasonal societal expectations" is our plan.
Time for coffee... ☕☕☕... and breakfast...
✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨ Have a healthy-eating day, all! ✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨

So much for relaxed.
MissMouse (today's hostess) was sick all night. She's OK now and checking with her brothers to see if they are willing to bring their kids over. If so, she needs help getting ready.
If not, Son#1 has volunteered HIS house. He will need help getting ready.
Probably including some cooking, either site.
We are awaiting Son#2's response.
<sigh>.
