This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Feel free to jump in and join us. All are welcome here.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good morning friends!
I didn't make it here yesterday, but there wasn't much to report. My shoulder was achy and almost throbby all day, but thankfully seems a lot better this morning. Mark and I got out early and made quick stops at Publix and Aldi, and then it was back home to settle in and watch football and relax.
It started raining last evening and that looks to continue all day today, so I'm guessing we'll probably just hang out here today. I need to throw a load of laundry in so Mark has clean khakis for work tomorrow. You'd think with just the two of us, we'd produce less laundry, but nope. Haha
Andi - I hope you have a safe travel day without delays.
RobinND - sending healthy mojo to kick that cold to the curb.
Janet - I have to agree that a sinus infection sounds likely for your friend. Those make me so miserable that there is no way I would stay away from the Dr. Haha. I just want relief when that happens. I guess maybe she doesn't feel bad enough quite yet. Who knows what people are thinking? Right?
Waving to everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good morning, ROs!
Lora, I often wonder how in the heck I could make so much laundry by myself! Of course, I also have "dog laundry"....I wash their beds occasionally, and I have old comforters that I cover the mudroom floor with, when the weather is bad so the dogs wipe their own feet before they get to the main house, and old towels I use on them when its rainy, or they are muddy, etc. Its always interesting to see how much hair I end up removing from the dryer filter! HA! It is raining here now, too, and I believe it will be lingering most of the day. Sorry about that shoulder of yours. It is so hard to keep it immobile, and really rest it.
Janet, I sure agree with Lora! I can't tolerate a sinus infection for long....I guess when she gets miserable enough, she will seek help.
I am enjoying a lazy morning...and my coffee this morning was really good. I am going to run over to the store to pick up a couple of things. I am doing some meal planning for the week, and want to get some better dietary choices to choose from. My gut has been acting up again, and I really think it is mostly the sporadic eating and holiday foods that have contributed. Anyway, I just need to regain my control over this situation! I will bbl, and I'm waving to all. Hope you are having a good weekend, RobinMD

Good Morning everyone...pretty lazy morning for us...ODD and DGDs are heading north for the week so I will not be rushing over there to walk with them in the morning this week. DS and family with be back from FL on Tuesday so perhaps I will do something with DGS on Thurs &/or Fri. I sure need to get back to the gym...once I know what day it is again - lol!
Lora - Glad the shoulder seems better this morning. Yeah... it is raining here today too and expected to continue into tomorrow, but NYEve looks good.
Robin - I would have almost no laundry if it wasn't for DH = ha! Sounds like we are all being pretty lazy... at least I got back to having my coffee this morning...(man, I have been totally off schedule)...and like you Robin, I really enjoyed it.
Had a slight headache, but took 1/2 an XS tylenol and it seems to be letting up. Looks like another day of reading or binge watching THE CROWN or something.....

Seems like that rain has come up the coast, it got here shortly after 3:00. I was watching for it, so walked the dog early, and it just started to sprinkle when I came in. My dog hates the rain!
RobinMD, I can't imagine having mud on my dog, but any dog gets dirty from getting walked. My dog loves to sit on a upholstered bench I have, and I finally cleaned it, or cleaned it half way anyway, and it is so obvious how dirty it got. That would definitely add up to a lot of laundry though.
Lora, sorry for your shoulder giving you problems.
Susie, I read about your DD's travels up north. Where are they going in NH? A friend of ours had her DD's wedding in Lake Winnepesaukee, and it was beautiful up there.
I have also been having stomach problems. About a month ago I put 2 and 2 together and realized it was from taking Fosamax. I have a hiatal hernia, but it took me quite a while to realize that the reason I was having so much trouble with it was because of that. It also much have messed me up enough that other things started to bother me, and the funny thing is, it was anything with sugar in it. Definitely not gluten or dairy, because the best thing to eat now is bread or cheese. So, I have been staying away from sweets, let's see if I lose any weight. I am also making sure I don't eat too much. Other than that, I loaded up 5 bags so far of old clothes, mostly from DH & DS, for donation. I have a pick up scheduled for Friday, so can still do more. At least I feel I accomplished something today.

Hi RobinS... my ODD's dad lives in MD, and they used to live in PA so they are visiting friends there, then heading to Boston where YDD lives. The reason for NH is that YDD's boyfriend's family has a lake house there (Ossippee) which evidently has good skiing areas close by so they are heading there for a few days and YDD will either go with them or meet them there. ODD is very brave I think - her DH has decided to go only to MD with them and then come back home on Tuesday, but she will head on north by herself with her 3 DDs (youngest is 4 1/2). She is used to just taking them and GOING...DSIL travels a lot and she does not sit around and wait til he is free to travel with them.
Well, we ended up staying home all day...finally this evening I drove over to ODD's house to give the cats more food and pick up leftover food from Christmas to bring home and freeze. I feel like it must be midnight, but it is not even 8:00 PM. Is anyone else feeling kind of depressed or is it just me?

Good evening everyone.
DH and I worked on parent's apartment yesterday. We are basically done. There are 2 old sewing machines there that I need to get back to some family members and a vacuum. I am leaving the vacuum for now because I want to go by and vacuum. I have someone coming in to do a move out clean on 1/8 and I will call tomorrow to schedule the carpets be cleaned after that clean up. I will then turn the keys into the rental company. Unfortunately my basement looks like the apartment threw up in my basement. It is mostly pictures and tax records. I need to get a shredder. All the pictures I am going to take out of the frames and add into the family album. I am going to do my best to get through the boxes sooner than later.
Today I have done laundry, changed all the sheets and washed them. I ordered groceries and got those put away. I ended up taking a nap on the couch with my Zeke and I woke up feeling really tired and lazy. I have one load of towels that still need to be folded. I haven't done any food prep for the week.
My knees are achy from carrying all the boxes. My ankle hurts on and off but I think as long as I am careful with it - I should be fine going back to the gym.
Andi I guess you are probably on the way home now. I hope you have a safe, uneventful trip home.
Lora hope your shoulder is feeling better and DH is doing ok. So sorry to hear about his DF.
Susie I hope you enjoyed your day.
Waving to Janet, Robin and RobinMD!
I will check back in tomorrow. I work Monday and Tuesday this week and then I am off until 1/6.

Jana - you got so much accomplished (even though your knees are paying the price - ya gotta do what ya gotta do)... I hope you can mostly sit at work tomorrow ...glad you got that nap. Sorry the basement looks like the apt threw up in it, but you will get that cleared up eventually...I know it probably makes you a wreck, but just keep taking one day at a time. BTW, the pics on FB have been very cute, and you have posted a lot of inspirational things that have spoken to me....
