Thinking Mistake #6: Self-Deluded Thinking
You rationalize by telling yourself things you don't really believe at other times.
"If no one sees me eating, it doesn't count."
"It won't matter if I give in to my cravings."
How are you doing with your self-deluded thinking?

My biggest one is I don't think it will matter if I overeat "this time," but it does eventually matter. When the weight shows up on the scale I end up whining about it.

I wonder if, "If I don't get the exercise in this morning I will do it later." is self deluded thinking when I know that if I don't exercise by 10am it is unlikely I will get it in at all?
I am back no track now that my daughter has flown home. I have an OP day under my belt, weight almost back to where it was when DD arrived and a plan is in place as I go forward.

I say to myself: " I've done so well for the last two days that if I go over my budget it won't matter." My newest one is: "I'm at the end of my week. I can splurge a little."
In both cases what happens is that I wind up maintaining my current weight or gaining.
