Now that the holidays are over and it is a new year what are your eating plans for the new year?

I overate some over the holidays so I need to stop giving myself permission to do that. I plan on getting back to my every day eating. My goal starting in July of a year is to focus so I am still maintaining at the end of the year for my goal anniversary. Now my goal is to get through winter (which I have problems with due to my winter depression) and be maintaining at my first WW meeting in April.

I signed up for Veganuary and a couple of other vegan challenges that start this month. I will record in my food journal and write in points using the original points calculator that worked so well for me in 1998/9. I will record exercise and other items for the day. I feel focused and happy and know I will accomplish much this year.

My plans are to set up habits that will help me stay within my blue dot range and to re-establish my fitness routine now that Cardiac Regab is completed. I have found that it's easy for me to find reasons to put it off. I need to be on guard so that I'm not making excuses not to exercise.

I plan to do exactly the same as last year.

I want to maintain this year as I did last year but I would like to do it this year with a lot less struggling. Guess that is up to me.

luvvinlife , my husband went through the cardiac rehab program in 2017, and for the remainder of that year, he continued to go there twice a week for the remainder of that year(you can pay to use their gym at a nominal fee to encourage continued working out). Since then his attendance has been sporadic at best, though he rides his bike on the weekends. I am trying to motivate him to get back to the gym routine again as I see him slipping. I encourage you to continue with it, especially if you can work out at your rehab facility after you graduate the program...I know his is a great facility! I plan to continue doing my cardio walking, and I want to add in some weight training, and stretching, which I'm starting now. I'd like to add back a regular Pilates class but for now I have to wait on that.
As for food, I will continue to cook healthy, low cal/low fat meals for us and am motivated to start trying new recipes so I can have a larger rotation of dishes to cook.

surfgirl, Thank you for the encouragement! I live 45 minutes away from the Rehab unit and the gym closest to me closed in November. But I have all of my equipment at home so I have no excuse. I'm back on track.
