Happy Day All!
PeggySue - were your bones dense? Mine are always very dense - from carrying all this weight around for so long. No kidding.
Betty - it's 31 here this morning and I always think that's cold until I think of you and Phyl!
Emily - sure wish I lived closer to my sister!
Marilyn - When we built our house back in the 70's, I thought the decisions were really going to drive me crazy and I was a LOT younger then! Made some bad ones, too! At least you have an eye and experience to make good ones! Your craft ideas sound great - particularly the mirrors with costume jewelry. Will have to look that up.
Connie - oh, my, you took me back in time. My mom used to make penuchi for my dad when I was a kid. Haven't even thought of it in years. Thanks!
Phyl - glad to have you back. Sounds like you're doing well - but very busy.
Dayle - you don't sound crazy at all - I think you're being played for sure! When Charlie comes in for the last time at night, we take his collar off and he gets a treat - a bigger one than usual. Often, later, he will beg to go out, so on goes the collar. Almost right away he's ready to come back in, get his collar off, and expect another treat! Brunswick stew is pulled pork BBQ, Smoked chicken, andouille sausage, lima beans, corn, tomatoes, onion, garlic, chicken broth, etc. Not all recipes call for chicken and sausage, but that's our favorite. It freezes really well!
Geri - Brenna sounds a bit spoiled - like most of our dogs!
Art - LOL at DDGS learning new phrases! His mother will be so pleased!
Linda - I remember your headaches from last year! So sorry they've struck again. I actually put a cracker on my bedside table for when my sinuses are hanging down my throat (sorry for the grossness). Hope you're better today.
Took us 2.5 hours for a 1.5 hour ride yesterday as there was an accident just north of Atlanta on I-75. Sheesh! The Korean buffet was excellent as usual and the DGGSs were wonderful.
Today we're headed over the mountain to meet DH's cousin and her DH for lunch in Dawsonville. It's about an hour away, but no interstate this time. We're going to Logan's Roadhouse. There's a huge outlet mall there, so I'm going to work on DH to go early so I can shop a little. I'm doing all the driving and was pooped last night.
I think my shopping is all done, but not the mailing. DS in central FL may just have to wait a bit on the presents for them.
Need to get busy - I have a bunch of shelter emails to do as I'm behind. Am a little sorry I said I'd do this but will keep at it at least for a while. Someone has donated a computer to the shelter, so it will be easier for them to respond to folks.
Enjoy your day everyone, stay warm and safe, please.

Happy Tuesday
Dayle - You had me really LOL at Ms Lily getting your attention when you went to bed. How do you Not start laughing?
Art - I can just hear great grandson saying 'Grandpa said it'.
Penny - Have osteopenia. (Not osteoporosis) Had a 10% improvement 2 years ago in the bone density test. Hoping for more good news this time.
I had a man who designs homes tell me a long time ago - No matter how good the design, within 3 weeks after living in it, you will find something you wish you had done differently.
Working on one of the bookcases to make it neater and easier to manage.
Everyone have a Thoughtful day.

Good morning Penny, Actually 28 here this morning. Pretty good compared to the past few days.
Busy day today. Have an MD appt at 10. Don't know if I have sinus infection or what's going on. A friend is coming around noon and we're going shopping for a while. Maybe a late lunch too.
Picked up some more purple print fabric yesterday for my quilt and some others for a border.
Think my coffee is done. Have a good day. bettyj

Morning All!
The evening sleep went without incident, so I think I am safe to say the princess was trying to pull a fast one. I know I will feel terrible if it turns out that she’s not, but I’m about 90% sure she’s a faker. I ran out of cheese yesterday (I’ve got a food order coming this morning), so there was no temptation for her to act out. She doesn’t get the cheese every night – it’s just when I have to give her a pill mid sleep, so maybe that’s the incentive here. But she does know it’s there.
I’m almost finished the antibiotics from last week and I am truly happy about that. It makes my stomach wonky.
I’m feeling a bit guilty that I didn’t volunteer to make anything for Christmas dinner at my sisters. She called me this morning to ask if I was going to make Mom’s potatoes au gratin for her ham dinner and I told her no, that I hadn’t thought of it. To be truthful, I’d thought of it, but it takes well over 2 hours to make, it’s messy and I figured I wouldn’t have the energy after Christmas Eve. My BIL and Sis have been eating low carb and I figured it wouldn’t be enjoyed any way. Both have lost considerable amounts of weight and I figured they would not appreciate the effort. My sister was OK with it, she had several options in mind, but I still feel like I didn’t contribute. Why do I always feel like I should be doing something extra for someone and feel guilty when I don’t? Maybe if I live to be a hundred I will figure that one out.
The grocery store called me to tell me their out of stocks. Nothing major, thankfully everything I really need was available.
Must get the day started. Hope all that are not feeling their best, start to perk up and feel better soon.
Enjoy the day!
Dayle

Good morning everyone,
Plumbers will be here soon. Bathtub delivery is between 3:30-7:00 today. 😀😀 hope all goes well getting the shower useable.
My sisters mother in law passed away this morning. She was in hospice. She was in her 80's. I only saw her a couple of times but was a very nice lady.
Talked to our daughter yesterday. The reason she did not accept the transfer is because apartment rental is so expensive here. She is paying $1300 in Vegas and would be $1800 here 30 miles away from Hollywood. Traffic is horrible. Rent in that area would be higher and smaller apartment. Not in good area to live. She is in a 2 bedroom right now. We are going to visit with her next week.

Dayle, I cheat on potato casseroles and use the pre peeled and cut Simply Potatoes...saves on a lot of time and bother.
our old dog years ago had the treat scam down pat. He got one if he went out after dark, peed and came right back...so he rationed it into multi trips!
might go to a movie today..la la land sounds good
i get a bone scan periodically and it is ok. I do not take calcium supplements. Mixed reports on those. I just drink milk or have Greek yogurt or kefir in sufficient quantities. Food sources are better on vitamins and such.

I am making a cheesy potato casserole for Ham dinner and it is pretty easy as you use the frozen Hash browns in a bag. Everyone likes its it and it seems to be a staple at our family get togethers all year round. I don't blame you for not wanting to make a complicated dish. Me either!!
It is 30° this morning, the sun is shining but no heat to it, feel like temp is 12°. The side walk at the groomer's was salted but still icy in spots. Zorro not a happy camper going out in the cold today. she made lot of noise until I got her inside again. Yes I spoiled her and warmed the car up a bit before we left. I am off to the Groomer's too. Hair cut and colored today, need a perm but putting it off until after the holidays. It's fine just have to "do" it everyday, and I hate that. will pick Zorro up after I am done, it is on the way. She will sleep back in the kitty room. Claws trimmed and I didn't notice any fur mats but you never know, she makes it hard to be sure.
Going to stop at bank and get some cash for the out of town kids for Christmas. they will be home and sure they will appreciate not having to worry about checks etc. although a couple of them do that phone thing, take a picture and deposit.!!
I am tired today, did not sleep much, probably too much on our minds this time of year. It will all get done and if It doesn't it won't be the end of the world. Well, that is what I tell myself.

Gloomy, crummy day here, but it will be gone soon. Christmas shopping all done and sent. Love Amazon. No leaving the house to go to a store or mall, shipping all paid for and no crowds. I am holding off going to Costco until after the first. I checked the traffic in that area and it's horrible.
Looks like we all have spoiled pups, but look at the joy and companionship they give us. I just ordered Brenna's special Costco treats, my neighbor works there. Very handy for me.
Have been in Jammies all day, no need to get dressed to go any where. Hope you are all having a good day.

Good afternoon...3p.m. A pretty nice day, warmer and like that. Still a frosty morning. Guess winter is here. DHs infection is back we went to Kaiser for him to give a urine sample to have tested this morning. Now waiting to hear from his doctor about another antibiotic. He had a terrible night. Neither of us got much sleep. He just got up from a nap. Poor guy, he is so tired and has gotten thinner again. Hope this is all over soon. So glad my DDs took over our Christmas dinner and all I'm doing is setting the table up and making a dip and make deviled eggs. Reading all about your sweet fur babies sure makes me miss Nikki....would love a bit of lovein' from her right now. Time to go see if DH needs anything. Think he's going back to sleep. I tried a nap earlier but was almost asleep and our DSIL came by and visited a bit. He cares and that's nice. I might try for it again. Hope you are all having a good day. Pat

Heading to bed but saw your post, Marilyn, built a home in Ohio. Not a spec home but architect, and the whole thing. Once is enough.
