June, I am glad to hear the date is set earlier than at the local ortho hospital and you have already thought out getting there as well as taking care of R at home while your students have a take home unit. Glad you could relax a bit in the bath and hope your mom feels better today. Susi, it is good Cheryl told you not to visit today. The last thing you need is to get sick.
Today is Town Hall and the speaker is General John F Kelly. I am skipping it on purpose not that I did not want to hear him but that it would take up a good part of my day. It was 33 this morning and I bundled up to walk with DH and the dog. It is the first time I did an early walk since I caught the cold before our trip. I have patio furniture towels in the washing machine and dishes in the dishwasher. For the first time in many days I did not get out of bed before the alarm went off at 6:15 so I am making this a positive day. Weight even went down .7 from yesterday in spite of last night's dinner. I ate a small portion of meat and rice and more of the broccoli and salad. Theo wanted lots of broccoli and turned down a mini chocolate ice cream cone in favor of cherry tomatoes.

Those are some pluses. Now I hope the weather cooperates for you. Hope you find mom in good spirits. Cathy - They probably thought you were looking for advice instead of just a sounding board. I'm sure they meant well. Audrey - The Town Hall may have been nice but good for you for not overloading your day. How cute (and good) that Theo wanted veggies!

Cathy I hear you on 'well meaning friends'. I'd go for that glass of the grape Audrey I don't blame you for skipping the speaker. Sometimes you just have to listen to your body and do what you need to do. Enjoy your day. Awesome on Theo waiting cherry tomatoes rather than a dessert I just came back from taking miss LuLa in our back yard. It's beautiful out there today. Too bad I'm not up for a walk. Just feeling tired with no energy at all. I've been fighting this on and off for a few days now. It can leave me anytime soon!!!!!

yeah June on the surgery date being sooner than you anticipated. But...how DARE they bother you as you were bubbling your troubles away
My hospital also does surgical pretesting via phone. Why they don't all do it that way is beyond me.

Cathy, it doesn't sound like they were truly being friends. At our age I think our dream is to stay healthy and pain free. I hope you can have a nice relaxing evening.

Afternoon all, Been extremely busy at work. Breakfast and Lunch was OP hopefully dinner will be the same. May get a walk in. I did yesterday.
Ann, I'm sorry you're feeling so tired. Some days are like that for me, too. Just rest as your body may need it. Its been a stressful time for you. HUGS
Audrey, good for Leo! good for you being down also and getting all those todo's checked off! I wish it would get cool here again. We've had AC on the past few days.
Bee, hope everything is ok.
Becky, sounds like a plan:)
Susi, we are in the throws of w2s, 1099s and everything else...deep breaths LOL
June, glad you know! continued prayers for you and your family! Hope you find Mom well and I'd love to take one of your classes. Laken would love that type of job but not sure she is qualified. I'll tell her to look into it.
Cathy, HUGS sorry your friends acted that way. Even if they meant well sounds like their approach was way off!

LaDonna kudos on the walk and the OP breakfast and lunch. Stress does me in all the time. The only thing I did today was take miss LuLa in the backyard a few times. I rested and read and just played with her most of the day Tomorrow is another day!

Susi I'm glad Cheryl let you know not to come today.I hope work wasn't too hectic and enjoy your meeting.
Ann That's all I have been able to do also.My legs, knees have been hurting so bad I had a hard time shopping at WM and HEB today. This afternoon I was rubbing my eye and it started burning.I either had some cream for my arthritis or hand lotion on my finger.I put ice on it and it is feeling better but it hasn't been a good day.
June The knee/legs have really been hurting so bad.I did get new shoes but will be taking them back next week when our wills are ready.I think that's what has been bothering my legs along with the drop in barometric pressure the last few days.I turned the AC a few minutes ago.We had the record low and record high for today's date.Hopefully we will be getting a cool front/rains this week. They won't accumulate to a lot but we will take what we can get.Prayers for you,Richard and your DM.I'm glad R can get an earlier date for his surgery.

Cathy The old saying is if it isn't broken don't fix it especially if you don't know something is wrong in your life.I'm sure they were trying to be helpful but it doesn't sound like they were very helpful.(((Hugs))).
Audrey I don't blame you for sitting out the Town Hall today. You were much colder than us today.I'm ready for some cooler weather but not cold.Yea on the loss.
Ann I have been so tired the last few days.Today was a bad day physically and emotionally which was caused by the physical problems and I feel drained.I hope we both get some rest.Hugs and prayers for you.
LaDonna I'm glad you were able to get a walk in yesterday. My walking has been very limited the last 2 days because of the pain. This is the first afternoon for us to have the AC on.About daylight tomorrow it's supposed to get down in the high 50's.

Busy morning that got lots accomplished. I did get over to the new Curves Iโm switching over to. Then ran errands and checked things my to do list. Finally made it home and am relaxing. It did feel good to get back to my work out routine. Thankful for GPS that got me to the new location.
KOKO with tracking, hydrating, moving and smiling as I aim for blue.
Cathy: Sending hugs and positive vibes.
Have a good afternoon everyone.

Becky, thatโs too bad the shoes are causing pain. I tend to wear slippers in the house just for the comfort.[Do you elevate your legs when you are sitting and does it help. The weather extremes sound terrible. ]Pam, exercise does make us feel good. I walked more today than I have for a month and have more energy.

They did ask what my "dream" is and how I plan to achieve it and I kind of don't have one (not really) so might need to come up with one? Perhaps your "dream" is to KOKO? Why do we always have to create new mountains to climb, when sitting on the porch where we are is just what we like?
