THINK 1st THURSDAY.... I actually pre-tracked yesterday, and it DID help me to tweak things before it was "too late'! So today I shall THINK 1st and TRACK before eating! We actually don't have a meal planned for tonight! EEK! Think I can pull some stew beef out and make a beef stir fry - kind of easy and quick! So yeah, I do have a plan!!
I just tracked the day - and it will get me 100 oz of liquids, and I will have 8 DP unused!?!?!??
This is where I get weird and think even though they are 0 point foods... there are calories... am I overeating each day?? I know, let the science of WW do this for me... but here is when I have questions!
Woke to 32 degrees, and snow covered ground! UGH! I can't see yet just how much is out there - but from here it doesn't look like a lot - just enough to waste my time! UGH Cleaning off the car - the slow drive, the snow-covered sidewalks... serisouly I'd prefer another 2 months of January THAW and then we could move into spring!
OK let me refill my coffee and be right back ♥

Sue: Hope your busy day was manageable! YAY for getting your TV all hooked up and ready to go again!
Gabrielle: Sorry to hear about DB... but happy that you can head south a little early to spend some time with him. Do they have children?? SO running on the TM and then your class? YAY for you!! Hope your meetings went well yesterday - and you got home to bed at a decent time.
Yes, I do get the commonly used foods - but on the computer I also have a list of favorites. I can pull up the favorites, and tracking goes so much quicker!! The list just stays there as I track food to food... whatever - it is working (well I am tracking) and I saw a loss yesterday on the scale. No I have not yet put it under the bed... I just can't! LOL
OH and I decided last night that TWO "Mexican" dinners in one week is a no go! LOL Too much sodium! Tonight I will use very little low sodium soy sauce... and I will have an extra bottle of water to head off the bloating that may come along!
Yes... by the 5 employees being "partners" they would all be "managers" too. Full timers with a higher percentage of "voting rights" part-timers with less. No... the first "plan" by this guy was to have them buy into a Co-Op... but none of the employees wanted that. His initial reaction was - if they don't do a Co-Op I'll close the store! NOW he has changed to they will manage the store - he will give them a certain dollar amount "up front", and he will get a percentage at the end of the year - as will they. Each end of year, they will basically take the net profit and divide it among the 5 (using their percentages). I know it CAN work... but it is just so much to think about - at our ages! He will be "tied" to the store for one year... after that IF he leaves, he will get his manager percentage at year end, pro-rated for how many months he was there. It's just a LOT to have to think about right now!
I do believe Matt will let us know ASAP after his appointment today. HA! He HAS to... if he has to do chemo they will not be home in time to get Zoë from school - and that will be up to Tracy! So she will have to know! If he doesn't have the chemo they will be heading home around noon - after his Dr appointment! In my head I am assuming another round of 8 weeks chemo... I just can't believe it will be this "easy" to move to the next step. Then I have to wonder what the next step will even BE... if he has not lost weight to get the radiation! Anyway - yes this will be a very long morning - waiting to hear!
Seems they had a good afternoon/night in Boston. Happy they could do that - but wish I had been able to go, and even take Zoë... just for the chance to spend time with them But IF he has to go for another 8 weeks... I think I will take her in one day, just so she can see where Daddy goes, and even see him during treatment - so she can see he is fine! He just sits there, on his phone or computer - and they provide lunch - and sometimes he gets the room with a view! Anyway... need to get through this morning!!
I went upstairs last night and made the spare bed... then ordered new pillows! LOL I think if I get a memory foam mattress and bamboo pillows, it will be just like our bed - and either one of us can use it! Ken used it last night - will be interesting to see how my sleep was. No he is not the cause of my waking up - just the frustration of not falling back to sleep easily!!
I too will ask my Dr. about something to help. Now that insurance won't cover the 2nd sleep study - I think she can prescribe something for me... as needed.

Oh dear - so many questions about the little boy. Gotta wonder if there was trouble wherever they came from? Still so sad.
Amy: Been thinking about you - feel better {{{hugs}}} Come back today to let us help you get back on track!
Shelly: Oh No!! Such terrible sickness for the little ones. {{{hugs}}} to you as you sit worrying... ugh so hard to be so far away! Oh boy - sorry the hotel was a mess! Yes, glad they would refund you!! But what an imposition!! I do hope you got some sleep last night - drive carefully in the arctic cold and ice... I guess I should be grateful for plain old snow!! Oh we are supposed to be getting wicked wind! Wind advisory (gusts up to 30MPH) from now until tomorrow night! YIKES!
Please keep us posted on the kids progress {{{hugs}}} ♥

Had another pretty good day - but tiring - at work yesterday. Still no settlement getting done - but oh well, it is what it is I guess! As long as I keep the "fires" out day to day - so next week there is nothing hanging over my head!
Oh and LOL They chose next week to do a time study in our department. That should be interesting - since two of those days people are covering for ME! LOL What a joke!! Moving on...
My lunch is packed and tracked - will wear comfy corduroys today - just because!
OK Time to get moving here - need a few extra minutes just to clean off the car. I cannot stand when people don't do it - so yes I am the one that cleans pretty much every speck of snow off mine!!
Will CBL or in the morning ♥hugs♥

Morning Carole....never made it back last night....got the Hopper hooked up without issues and then FaceTimed with Hannah for a while but then realized neither of the Joeys worked so had to call Dish again....was on with them for another hour and what they tried didn't work but the woman said that the "software update" that runs overnight should fix it....well, still no Joeys working so guess what I'm doing right after work tonight???
You guessed it! Hopefully it won't take up my whole evening....hope to pop in later!
Carole....been thinking about Matt....need to read back and see how things went....what time is his appointment today???
Waves to all....

Good morning! Sunny but cold like single digit wind chills early this morning. Can feel it when Greg opened the front door. We are getting snow/ice tomorrow and Saturday. Days like that I am glad to be home.
Carole-a time study? Really? They should be able to see who does what and how much they do and how long it takes already, I would think. They will probably find that you do the most work! The partner thing is probably ok but I hope that there will be a legal document drawn up and signed to address issues such as what happens when one partner wants to retire, etc. Praying for a good report from Matt.
Sue-well good that most of the TV issues are solved? I don't know what a Joey is...hope you have a good day.
Gabrielle-glad that you are there to support your DB. Not easy times...my DB got divorced and then back with his ex and I was afraid it wouldn't be a forever and she said that she wanted to be by herself and has now moved to Georgia near her daughter. My brother was devastated for a long time, and that is why I am happy that he has a lady friend in his life. Hope that you don't have too long of a day today.
Shelly-I would worry so much about the babies too...I worry about Kennedy in Chicago. Were you in the middle of the nasty storm heading our way?
Jenny-hope you have a good day. I even miss the nasty co-worker now that I'm not working...at least we were starting to get along. I wanted to ask her about Medicare since I suspect she is in her late 60's and I don't know how that works with the state insurance and what parts I have to apply for when I turn 65.
Christine-how are you doing? I can't believe how easy it is to miss coming here a day or two and then get behind in what's going on with everybody.
Amy-saw that you popped in.
More errands this morning. I got a bill from our attorney that didn't include a PayPal payment I made right before Christmas and it should be paid off, so I have to call them in awhile. I am thinking about what we might have for dinner on Friday and Saturday if it is nasty out.
We are picking up Tiffany from work today and taking her to her babysitting gig and Joe can pick her up from there. A lens popped out of her glasses last night and it was already running on a makeshift repair and she can't drive without her glasses. I hope the eye place can fix them up for her tonight and she is going to make an appointment for an eye checkup and new glasses. She does have Eye Med under Joe's benefit package so thankful for that.
Try to BBL.

I'm a happy camper.....thankfully it was a quick, easy fix and both Joeys are working fine! Apparently when everything updated overnight it did not go and find the new Hopper, it just kept looking for the old one. The guy got on and clicked a few things and I got a prompt to "link" to the new Hopper and all was well! Finally that is done!
Carole...I'm sure the cravings for wine will go away in time....its funny that when we got to Auburn, my DD's family does not drink so I got days without wine and done miss it...I think for me, it's a habit. I enjoyed my couple of salad this week on M/W and Tuesday/Thursday I split the Olive Garden take home meal and added some raw veggies....it was just enough pasta....actually held me all afternoon without snacks. Tomorrow I had ordered a sandwich from one of the pressmen....I will likely eat 1/2 at lunch and 1/2 for dinner....they are HUGE sandwiches but very yummy!!
Honestly Carole, I can't tell you the last time we went to Olive Garden...I bet it's been 5-6 years....it's right in town but I'd chose seafood at Red Lobster over OG any day...but I figured I'd let Jason pick for a change.
By now Carole your week w/o Debbie is winding down....I'm hoping as I catch up I see it hasn't been too bad for you!!
LOL Lisa...your Manic Monday cracked me up! Weekends always fly by very quickly and some work days DRAG....I had a couple fast days and a couple dragging days this week. Today I was busy with an extra project Todd needed help with so the day flew! Sorry the venue for Grace and Geoff won't work out....hopefully they will find something soon....I forget, when is the wedding?
Gabrielle...glad you were able to hit the TM before your early meeting....the snow you are to get today is likely what is hitting us on Saturday. We have decided to NOT go visit our DFs...it's a 40 minute drive and many back roads....was messaging with Deanie this morning and we both agreed...just not worth taking the chance on the roads. So we will pick another date! You know, it's funny.....for long time I hated avocado and guacamole....it was always so mushy....then I made some guac nice and chunky with firmer avocados and LOVED it!! Now I love slices on sandwiches, cubes on salad....they just need to be firm but not hard. There truly is a fine line for perfect!
Jenny.....enjoy your 4 day work week...I'd love that!! You have the perfect long weekend with Monday off. What are your hours the other 4 work days. I'm sure the pictures of the waves didn't show the true magnitude of their size and strength. Glad you got to enjoy lunch with DSIL/DBIL.... I LOVE steamers....don't get them very often! Yes, I think the meds are pretty much out of my system now....I seem to be sleeping better and better each night and don't feel as cranky and moody....that stuff is UGLY!! Never again!

Carole....my kitchen scale is a definite tool in my world....it actually sits right on the bar so when I make my salads I measure out 2-3 oz of meat....when I portion things out I use it all the time....it's handy and helps to keep portions accurate....heaven knows when I "eyeball" things it's not the best...I always seem to add an extra little "blop" just for good measure! Hopefully you can get the guest room a bit organized and the new mattress might help with your sleep...who knows, you can try anything once! YAY for no Super Bowl party this year....while I know you love your family time...one less thing to plan and prep for.... Will be eager to read what the new store owner has in mind.....you are right, we are getting too old for mayhem and upheaval like this....hopefully it's something Ken can deal with.
Gabrielle...glad the rains seem to let up for track Tuesday....hopefully it wasn't slippery out there. I was on hormone replacement (estrogen) for many years for hot flashes/night sweats. That was one of the 1st meds I got rid of when I started using essential oils. I put Progessence Plus on both my forearms each night before bed and haven't had a night sweat. I had stopped the estrogen to see if I still needed it and yes....the night sweats were terrible....but after starting the PP....all is well again.
OK...well news on the old recordings....NOPE, nothing would transfer, the hard drive was too corrupt so we are back to a clean DVR but a bit bummed we lost some fun old shows we had saved....it is only TV and most of the stuff I lost I can watch On Demand at some point....I made a list of all the shows that I had save to "marathon" watch and I will do them one at a time and get caught up On Demand and then will have the remainder of the season recording as usual. One positive, it saved all the timers that were set so we didn't have to go back and add all the shows we always recorded.
WHAT??? Lisa....what happened to your temp job?? Did they give you any reasons why??? Hopefully you will get another job to fill in some time...for now, take advantage of the free time and tackle that "to do" list!
We started with cable here because that was the only option we had but it was always going out...and it kept getting more and more expensive....it got to the point it was cheaper to switch to satellite, pay full price for cable internet and at first we had Vonage, then we got rid of our land line when we all had cell phones. We started with Direct satellite but when we got the HD flat screen we would have need to have multiple receivers because at that point 2 of the 3 TVs were still analog....the bedroom one is still an old Zenith that is about 30 years old....we bought it shortly after we moved to this house....right now only the boys watch it when they wake up early!! LOL!! At that point DISH came out with the Hopper so it didn't matter, 1 receiver that was accessed from all TVs regardless of what kind they were....saved us BIG BUCKS!! Until our hard drive had issues just recently, after probably 5+ years....we have had NO issues with DISH and it rarely goes out....usually only time is when the weather is icy and "eye" on the dish itself gets covered with ice an the signal gets blocked! I would always go with DISH now....I still hear people at work complaining about cable and Direct!! I'm a happy girl but this whole transition was a little frustrating that it took 3 days to resolve.....but it's done and all is right in our TV world!
Jenny....LOL, sorry WWOW showed up but at least you had 10 extra minutes of peace!! OK, was the pit crew supervisor directing his cussing at her or was it just normal blue collar language...heck, I hear the "F" bomb dropped many times a day....I work in a printing plant with a bunch of guys....the cussing is just the language of the environment....they are just words, let the roll....I'd be annoyed with her too!! Yes, Jenny, it is hard when our kids drive their first winter....learning to drive in "weather" take practice.
Shelly....glad you got to visit a bit with DS...any time with our adult children is a gift!! Oh no....sorry for the work stress and having to fire the manager....you had proof, she made her choices and stealing is against the law.....you had to fire her! Hope Wednesday was better!

Carole..."work it" Wednesday...it got to the point I just wanted to survive it....as I mentioned, I covered for Sherry which isn't bad....Julie and I "tag team" her stuff but so many "little things" that just put extra "stuff" in my way! I made the best of my day and actually ate well, got plenty of water/liquids but still felt scattered....my plan for me went fine but every other thing was scattered, including getting the Hopper set up and then the Joeys causing an issue....honestly was glad when the day was done!
Carole...remember, each day/week won't be perfect....there will be rough spots, temptations, poor choices and yet if we stay the course....it will all fall into place. I will say, 14 hours for me is not odd....I usually eat between 5:00-6:00 pm and may or may not have a snack at 8-ish....but never eat breakfast before 9:00 am....maybe our bodies know what we need??? I saw something on FB but didn't read it completely about breakfast and is it the most "important" meal of the day but one thing that did stick was the fact it was not "when" you "break the fast" but "what" you break it with....need to find it and see what we should start our day with!
Fingers crossed Carole that now that your PCP has noted your sleep apnea something will get done!!
WOW....how can the owner "force" them to be partners??? Is your DS the same age as Ken??? Yes, at 64 it is not something you want to have to worry about with retirement coming soon!! Heavens NO....the store has been there for so long, it can't close....it's history! That sucks for DS having to find insurance now at 64....while I know the others appreciate her not asking them to carry it for her....it's still something she doesn't want to deal with at this age! Ramble on Carole.....this is crazy!
Honestly Carole...my DM is "out there" but if Jim told her we were coming, THAT she would remember!! When we were in NC in September that was one thing she mentioned..."I guess I won't see you every year"?? I assured her that I would always make an annual trip.....
OK....not quite caught up...but my back needs a different chair......heading to the recliner....and will catch up the rest tomorrow!
