T.G.I.F... been a week! Yesterday was a total MESS with an incident regarding a local company re-processing a batch of checks that were processed in December. I had several customers who had written several checks to this company (car parts) and for some reason the checks cleared in December, and yesterday they cleared AGAIN as ACH Withdrawals! UGH! Needless to say I am NOT looking forward to what today might bring! On top of that - (with Debbie out) Crystal has decided to take today off - and Kaitlin is leaving early! I.GIVE.UP.!
Anyway - added to teh work crap, I was on edge all morning waiting to hear from Matt. He was trying to line up all his appointments before sending a message! So he has appointments scheduled for January 30 and February 13 - unless he gets his surgical consult and the surgeon cancels them! I tell you girls I am so relieved! I am still worried - I mean surgery is risky too - but... this is a lot better than a year of treatments ahead, like a friend of mines daughter is going through! While I am so happy with Matt's news, I am still so sad for Chrissy... it was difficult to share this news with my friend Norma! UGH Anyway... moving on...
Running late this morning - didn't want to get out of bed - but will try to catch up!

Hooray for FRIDAY!! And the kick off to a long weekend (after work today)!
Each morning I've been scoring math tests so there is zero time to jump on here BUT I do Track each day - I've been trying my breakfast foods for 'snacks' such as Greek Nonfat Plain yogurt w/blueberries or having my WW recipe fritita for lunch - kind of shakes things up -
Linds is home!! Hooray! She drove home from Pittsburgh late Wednesday night as they were calling for 5-7 inches of snow here yesterday. Snow barely came - so I feel kinda bad I 'made' her drive home that late to beat a storm that never quite blew through - but she was fine! She was on "California time" so no problems! lol Glad to have her home and WOW to her pictures of her trip. Beautiful shots of the beach, their hike up to the Hollywood sign, the skyline, and fun shots of the Rich and Famous' homes. She had a good time and said she did all she wanted - they were exhausted!
Looking forward to a day of just scoring tests, finishing up a report, and Early Dismissal duties (students leave at 1:00) which gives Teachers the afternoon for Recording progress reports.
Need to read up last few days - TGIF!!

Morning Carole, Christine and "carolehall58"....sorry you lost the post Carole!
Glad it Friday....not sure what today will be like for me but the weekend is coming and with the weather coming tomorrow, I don't see us going anywhere...already cancelled out visit with friends, I suspect all basketball will be cancelled as well and I think Lacey will postpone the paint day.....if she doesn't and everything else is cancelled, I may just tell her I'm not coming anyway and use my ticket for something else. But, the snow is to start late morning and go through dinner time and painting is 2-4 pm.
Will catch up after work if I don't get blown away....good grief it's windy out there! See you all after work!

Evening all....got home before 5:00 pm but wanted to refill a few of my rollers and Jason's Thieves roller was low too so I refilled that while I was at it....now I have time to catch up!
So Carole....have you and Ken figured out a "get away" for the weekend....not sure what your weather is but tomorrow everything we had planned has been cancelled....painting is postponed to the 1st of February....still waiting for a date with friends and both the basketball games were cancelled. They even cancelled Kellen's Sunday game, not sure why?? Yes, Pat always enjoys spending time with Auntie Priscilla....they are very much alike and it's nice company for both of them. TN is July would be beautiful....we've been to Pigeon Forge and Gaitlinburg.....both are awesome!
Yes Carole....always fun to chat with David and Katie....
Not sure if I told you ladies that David will be in Austin over the week of the 4th of July....they fly in on the 1st like we do....they plan to come to San Antonio for my birthday on the 2nd....they invited us up to the lake for the 4th and Jason and I decided we will go whether Jim and gang come or not....we love to spend time with Jeannie and Roger and we have never seen their place on Lake Travis....hopefully it will be up this year....some years if there is a drought there dock is laying on the both of the lake floor. If Jim's gang doesn't want to come we will ask if we can take one of their cars but if they are not comfortable with that we will rent one....I know we will both need a break from Jim's family all day long....
Hope those 2 days next week in Amanda's office will help you get the bulk of the ATM caught up....hopefully you can get a few more crossed off the list before then....
Gabrielle...glad you took the DOR on Wednesday...I know you enjoy your TM/class combo....glad you are able to fit it in this week! Sorry to hear about DB's marriage falling apart....if both sides don't want to work at it, it's tough....glad you can be there to support him...I'm sure it is exhausting listening to him but I know he needs a "sounding board".... Yes, technology can be so frustrating but thankfully as I mentioned last night the Joey "fix" was a quick one! We actually never had issue with the service or quality of Direct but it was WAY TOO expensive.....now they have a "hopper" type thing so it is likely similar to what we switched to DISH for....but honestly, even with all the snafus this week....the staff/techs were very helpful and eager to resolve the issues.....All is well now so hopeful it will be a long time before we have any issues again!
I can only imagine Gabrielle how it effects your community with the death of that little boys...I know we are a small community too and it's amazing how everyone rallies together when things like this happen. My heart breaks for the family left behind....
Hi Amy....so glad you popped in! I'm sure the stomach ache is a reminder that healthier choices are what your body needs....one day of binging does not ruin the journey....just a bump in the road along the way!! You've got this!! Pop in again soon....let us know how you are doing!
Shelly....how are Chesney and Nathan doing?? RSV is so scary! Hopefully they caught it early enough and they will be on the mend soon! What a bummer about the hotel...glad your are getting a refund for the poor accommodations!! You would think if it was historic they would want to keep it nice?!?!?! Hopefully you got a little "shut eye"....keep us posted on the little ones!

Carole...glad the pre-tracking was helpful in keeping you a bit more on track! I'm sure yesterday was a VERY long day waiting to hear from Matt....I know I would have had a hard time concentrating on anything! Honestly Carole....I think as long as you eat the portion size recommended for the 0 point foods, all is well.....yes, they do have calories but the nutritional value is much better than the other stuff.....think about it....100 calories of raw veggies is MUCH better for you than 100 calories of chips!! Right??? Great "aha moment" on the 2 Mexican dinners....this journey is a learning process, isn't it?
AMEN Carole...we are heading into our "ugly weather" days and a real cold snap....I'd gladly change that for more January Thaw!! I will say our 10 day forecast shows that after tomorrow's weather and a few cold days...it's mid 40's for temps starting about Wednesday of next week...for us that's about 8-10° above normal so can't complain!
Well Carole...it sounds like the new plan for the store is "workable" and might actually end up with a little extra money too but it's still tough to have to deal with it so close to retirement....it sounds like Ken will need to make a year to year commitment to the store or does he just have to commit to this 1st year and after that it will be prorated when he decides to retire?? Yes, way too much to think about at this point! Fingers crossed it's a positive change and everyone can make it work. I still feel bad for DS having to find insurance at this point with only 18 months until Medicare could kick in! Such a PITA!
Carole....do you have bamboo pillows now? If not, beware of bamboo pillows...one of my friends from HS almost lost her daughter to an allergic reaction to them....after more research Steph found out that reactions are more common than you realize! Sorry to be "scare" voice but it was touch and go for her DD...she got hives and her airway started to close..... BTW, I still don't understand why the insurance company won't cover the 2nd sleep study....didn't they cover the 2nd one for Ken and it's the same insurance??? Crazy!
Yes....I'm the same way Carole....Jason doesn't usually wake me up but when I do wake up, his breathing/snoring, etc keeps me awake....If I can get to sleep and stay asleep, he does not wake me! Will be anxious to see who sleeps in the spare room most often!
OK Carole...just what exactly is the "time study" at work??
Lisa...seems all of us are dropping from our milder weather to the frigid temps!! I think you are sending your weather our way....you could have kept it! We have DISH and the main receiver is called a Hopper and the logo is a kangaroo...guess they thought it would be cute to have the extra boxes for other TVs called Joeys.....I have a kangaroo on my receiver upstairs...the Joeys have a kangaroo with a joey in the pocket....advertising gimmick!
Lisa...if you have insurance from work or covered by a spouse's insurance then the only Medicare you have to start taking at 65 is Part A...it is free and only covers hospital charges. Jason is covered under my insurance but if he would go into the hospital for anything Medicare would be billed 1st and my insurance is supplemental! All the wellness visits and any other medical stuff like rechecks, prescriptions, etc...all go through my insurance. Hope you can get the attorney bill resolved.....you should have a PayPal receipt to prove you took care of it! Hope Tiffany got her glasses fixed!
Carole...WOW....that's all I got for the MESS at the bank....how does a company reprocess checks??? If those people's account are as low as ours can be sometimes I see 'bouncing" everywhere!! OYE....Debbie, Crystal out and Kaitlin leaving early....NOT what you need!
Carole...yes, surgery is always scary but this is what we have all been hoping for. On a positive note that if he does get the two more chemo treatments, then the tumor could shrink some more and that would make the surgery better....it's all good news!! I can only imagine how hard it was to share Matt's good news with your friend but know that she is indeed happy for you, Matt and the rest of the family.
Christine...don't worry about us....we'll be here when the math test are done!! YAY, glad Linds is home but better to be safe than sorry coming back late Wednesday....heck, she was still on CA time so she probably didn't mind anyway! Hope you got lots accomplished after the kids left today! Do you work Monday?? Are the kids off?? Not sure if Sarah's boys are off or not...the holidays have changed since my girls were in school.
Time to relax, put my feet up and get ready for a quiet weekend. I am painting on Sunday....another jar painting....I have the fall one with pumpkins and a tree dropping leave....this one is the winter version with cardinals on a tree branch with snow....looking forward to it!
See you all in the morning!

Evening all. Finally got my hair done this afternoon. The last time I got it done was November 9. Wow the gray was pretty bad. We are going back to the darker for a while so the gray will show up quicker. Hope I don’t have to go that long again. Oh my h my the weather was horrible here. It was like an ice rink around here this morning. It took me at least 5 minutes to walk to my car. Once I got going I could only drive like 20 max going to work. Took me like 40 minutes to get there. Usually only a 10 minute drive.
Chesney and Nathan are doing better!!! Chesney got to go home yesterday evening. So glad she got her to the dr when she did. Chesney went down so quick. Nathan never was admitted thank goodness.
Carole so excited for your news. Keep us updated as more news is available. Hope you got the MESS taken care of. Wow how does that happen.
Well sorry it’s late and got Togo. I need to get her earlier.
