Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Having a great day. Did some CBing in the basement, put some odds and ends in a box for Amvets.
It is cold, but sunny. Went for a walk outside. Brrr, but it felt great to get some exercise in.
They changed the hours at the Y that I go to. They used to close at 10:00, now it’s 10:30. I was always in the mood for a walk after I got out of work but didn’t want to rush. Now I might actually go there if it’s not snowing to walk the track. Would be nice to get in some extra walking. We’ll see. They open at 5, but morning traffic keeps me from going there. It’s off a busy street.
I’m having whole wheat pasta w/Prego and a salad for dinner tonight. I’ll take that for lunch tomorrow at work.
See ya tomorrow

Good morning from Maui. Sorry I haven’t checked in more. Tired!!!! The past couple nights it’s been 8 pm here and we are all ready for bed because our bodies think it’s 1 am!!! By the time our bodies adjust, it’ll be time to go home.
Stan, DD/DSIL, Harper & Sawyer are all down at the beach. We bought the girls boogie boards at the store yesterday morning and they are having a great time with those. They were only $11.99 and they have already gotten that much fun out of them!! I stayed behind to get showered and my hair washed and to enjoy the peace and quiet. 6 & 9 year olds are noisy! And we are all getting up at like 6:30 due to the jet lag! I’m sitting on the balcony letting my hair dry and enjoying the warmth! It was -9 yesterday morning at home and today and tomorrow they are to get a blizzard possibly. 8” of snow and blowing winds. DIL is going to go to work at the ER prepared to sleep on a cot rather than try to get home between shifts. DS was going home early today to take care of Mara and so DIL could get to work on time. DIL doesn’t know where she stands on her surgery. Apparently she went in yesterday and didn’t know if they were calling her or she’s to call them; if they are even still considering the surgery, so right now it’s not scheduled. DS said she was going to tightly wrap her belly, take pain meds with, and try to just tough it out this weekend.
We are all going on the helicopter tour this afternoon. That should be fun. Will be the first time for the girls and I don’t think DD has gone since she was little. We took all 3 of our kids on one in Wisc. Dells almost 40 years ago. She would have only been 1-2. So new for her too basically.
Need to get a few more things done before they come back for lunch. Have a great week all. I’ll try to get back later.

Joyce, that sounds like a good plan to be able to go to the Y and walk after work some nights. Keep up the good work with the CBing. My plan in Florida is to not bring a lot of stuff in the condo. I have started a giveaway pile and not sure where some of the things in the pile came from.
Ruth, glad to hear that everyone is enjoying Maui. I totally get the being tired due to the time change. It is great that you can share Hawaii with your DD and her family. I’m sure that is something the girls will remember forever.
This morning I went to Costco to order some new glasses. Since I got here I got a bad scratch on my glasses and it is really bothering me. I left my latest prescription at home so I called the doctor’s office and they faxed the prescription to Costco. I hope they will be ready before I leave on my trip, if not I’ll be okay. Card night here tonight. The friends who were supposed to come today cancelled, at least it gave us extra time to get the place ready.

Good night all. It’s only 7:20 here but it’s very late where most of you are!!! Our helicopter ride was so much fun! Beautiful scenery, a great pilot, and I love helicopters. Even some of the bumpy ride doesn’t bother me! This statement is SO VERY true! Sounds like it’s dreadful back in MN with freezing rain on top of the snow and they have high winds too. It was in the 70’s here today with a couple of rain showers. They had to adjust our tour location to Molokai because it was raining on the higher elevations of Maui. We have done the tour of Maui twice before, so since it was all new to the others, we really enjoyed the new scenery. Waterfalls upon waterfalls. Saw some whales below us and the pilot would turn so everyone got to see them. Off to throw in a load of laundry before bed. More tomorrow!
