Saturday I shall PTHM and if it's not bitter cold, take a walk. We are still under snow watch. Supposed to start mid afternopn into Sunday. Some areas according to what weather station you fancy could get up to 10"! What will be will be. We are all stocked up and Carl got gas for the snowblower.
Sweet dreams all.

Ann, stay warm and cozy. Nora has a ballet performance at 10:30 so we will watch it before grocery shopping. Dinner is at home. DH wants steak because he is having oral surgery Monday and thinks heβll never chew again π Iβll try to be mindful of what I eat, move and hydrate.

Ann Stay warm.Don't walk if it's too cold so you don't get the pain back.
Audrey Enjoy Nora's ballet performance.LOL on Bob wanting steak because he thinks he will never be able to chew again.
I will KOKO.That's the most I can muster for the day besides the usual tracking, moving when I can and hydrating.

I can: KOKO and all the rest
Nothing to report...scale is up because...it is. I know why and now need to focus and get the scale going the other direction. This morning had hot cereal with a bit of homemade jam and am considering lunch. Have black beans soaking and lettuce so perhaps some form of tostada. We will see.
SUSI: Hooray for exercise clearing your mind and setting you up for a good day.
MJ: It always sounds busy in your life and though it sounds tiring it also sounds rewarding. Glad to hear your good news from the oncologist.
BEE: I will march with you...will we beat a drum to let people know we are on our way or sneak up on them?
LADONNA: Enjoy Wilmington and tell us all about it when you get back. Heat or AC...nice to have either if/when you need it!
AUDREY: Many nights I don't remember my dreams but I often do. I am glad you were able to bundle up and go out for a walk. I always enjoy the beauty salon...sort of feel pampered to have my hair washed and cut by someone else. Enjoy the ballet and the steak. I was afraid I would not be able to open my mouth at all after having all four wisdom teeth removed...no such luck on that weight-loss plan...none at all
PAM: Glad you enjoyed your time at Curves.
BETSY: My BIL was asked by his physical therapist to get shoes of a certain supportive kind to assist in his walking. He is relearning after spending so long with poor nerve connections and making do with walking. My sister says it is like teaching a baby to walk in some ways though he is moving he has not been using the muscles most of us would to get around. I hope you find just the right pair and your knees/legs will be happy again.

Goooooood morning
My last post to everyone went "poof." User error-- did not save it before iPad battery died. Yep, ignored warning b/c I just knew I could finish before heading out the door of doctor.
Good news-- X-rays showed that R's vertebrae are fused! Spinal surgeon was very pleasedw/ bone growth. Reassured R that nerve conductivity test showed that the root nerve in the neck is fine. It has no impact on the numbness of his R arm & hand. Spine dr. fully supported the elbow surgery.
Slight complication A screw or the screws in c7 had "backed off" a little. Asked if it would be a problem. Dr. said no. Hardware holds bone can heal.
Happy about the news.

Read everyone's personals. π€ Good to be in the loop! Ha ha ha... but commenting from memory.... bear w/ me
Ann Yikes- those subzero temperatures are daunting. Add heavy snowfall.... pbbbbbt. Thx goodness for snow blowers & willing spouses. Glad thatyour kitchen is stocked. End of week pizza is worth a short-lived uptick in the scale iMHO.
Audrey Sending prayers for Bob -- and you as his caregiver.. Ha ha ha. . Bob's request for a steak dinner before oral surgery makes complete sense to me.
Becky Did you have any luck identifying a good walking shoe!? Has your ins. company approved more PT?
Bee Congrats on the TB number. Keep marching along.
Cathy Great start & attitude for the weekend. Kudos for setting forward in a positive way. A whole grain cereal makes a very filling breakfast. Hot cereal this time of year always takes me back to my childhood. Oatmeal & cracked wheat were staples at our house. My dad always called oatmeal, "Mother's Oats."
LaDonna Yep, you do not want to know anything about those subzero winter days! Hope you enjoy the extended weekend.
Mj Smart to adjust the YM event so that it ends before the next storm dumps more snow. Good that you two could see the need, revamp the activities, & notify everyone. Love the steak dinner out at very little cost to you and Toots! You could not buy most FF dinners for a couple for a $7.50 bill.
Pam Thx for letting us know about your BIL. I have wondered about his progress. Bless him & your DS. Hope that you & yours have a good weekend.
Susi Sounds like you kicked it w/ your workout. Bravo! Glad that you can release the stress of work, Midnight's integration into the family, and Cheryl's Er surgery/rehab through exercise.

Good morning all. Another night where I slept well. Counting blessings.....
Susi happy ferals are fed and I'm sure they are also. Enjoy spin.
June sorry your post got poofed. Hate when that happens. Thanks for sharing R's great news! How is mom doing? Keeping all in my prayers.
Cathy, yes you know what to do to 'turn the beat around' and get the scale going in the downward direction.
Becky sorry your weather is cold. I was talking to my friend in Simi Valley and she said it's cold there as well. Yesterday just about hit 60!
Waving and wishing AWF a great OP Saturday.

Ann Few things better than a solid night of rest.
The poof was my fault. I already packed the power cord for my devices & did not want to dig up another one. (Wanted Waze GPS on my phone while driving but did not want to deplete the battery). Oh well. . . I will not do that again.
mom was so so on Thursday morning. Did not go yesterday. Was drained from the drive, long appointment, and awareness that R still has another surgery & then probably 2 months of recovery from that.

Thx, Ann. Ha ha ha. . . Had this image. . , even Supergirl flying here, there, and everywhere has to get tired of dodging pesky, flying insects that go splat. Had my 10- minute "moment." Ready to move on & will enjoy bubble bath later.
Popped over to nursing home before roads get worse. To try to shift mom's focus, so I did not ask how she was feeling. Instead engaged her on "other things." Good strategy. On a scale of 1-10, she was at a 8.1 position for positive outlook. That was better. We had some laughs. She is looking forward to playing Bingo later. Left her sitting w/ her BF, Vivian.
Decided that it probably best not to shovel, heavy wet snow since rain is coming. Walking on icy, crunchy snow wil be safer. Or if rain & warm tempt. Melt some snow, better to pit on Ice Melt after the rain.
Us Noertherners sure do habe a lot of interesting decisions to make in the winter!

Ann We haven't gotten our front yet that was supposed to blow this yucky weather out of here. Now it will be later this afternoon. It's still foggy and 64 at 9:30.This drop in barometric pressure keeps my knees cranky.
Cathy Good goals as usual. Thanks for the info on good shoes but I may be looking at a knee replacement soon.
June Yea on Richard's vertebrae being fused. That is such good news.I'm glad the screws backing off won't be a problem.I called the insurance and they said with my policy I don't need authorization for PT even though some things changed this year so I don't know where PT got that wrong. However they know can't get my knee to a 0 curve which I think is why she suggested I do stretches at home and contacting the surgeon when I was ready.I have an appointment with the surgeon next Friday scheduled.
Susi I hope you enjoyed spin.
Ann I just heard the wind kick up so hopefully the front came in.I would rather have sun and cold than hot and dreary because of my knees.
June Continued prayers for you,R and your DM.(((Hugs)))for you.I am glad your mom has a more positive outlook.
We are leaving for Walmart shortly to see if I can find some supportive knee and ankle braces to last me until my appt next Friday.
Have a good day all.
