Mj Ha ha ha... we spent our morning in the same way-- onthe PC-- doing personal work. I fact,I am taking a little break before heading back to the PC. Lots of registrations & such for new health insurances &pharmacy plans plus school e-mails.
Glad that the YM event was highly productive and concluded before the snow storm. Well done! Super attendance! How heartwarming that the YM are reaching out to veterans. Bless them.
Enjoy Kressling's company. They grow up so fast.
Good luck w/ your Pc work. I'm setting the timer for mine. Otherwise... game time will be here before I even get dressed.

Whenever Maddie started complaining about the home, we always checked if they had taken her off the antidepressants and it was almost always the case. As a former home health aide, she kept busy help others where she could and enjoyed that. The nurses loved her for it. I made with WW vegetable spring rolls yesterday. 1. Where did they find egg roll wrappers for 1 point? All 3 supermarkets by me were 2 SP each. Didn't mind because the filling is virtually 0 SP. 2. Bland, bland, bland. Added more soy, more garlic and more ginger. Much better. 3. Baking at 350 doesn't crisp up anything. 425 or finish in the air fryer. Once adjusted, they were good. Used 2.5 lbs. of chicken breast to make chicken salad for sandwiches at the charity event later. Veggie loaded frittata is out of the oven and lamb riblets are in to braise for 2 hours. About to skin, portion out and vacuum seal chicken thighs ($.99 lb. for 9 good size thighs under $5) and portion flank steak that was marked down. Carol and I are leaving for the Elks at 4:30 so I will assemble the sandwiches at 4 while watching the game. We should be home in time for the Packers/49ers game

Susi Have fun at the Elk's event w/ your sister & friends. Always love a bargain especially on meat. Yet my best meat bargain last year was the gift of ground version & backstraps. 😜
Will you watch a playoff game at the Elks?
Sounds like Maddie was fortunate to have you so involved in her care.
Mom was almost 100% back to normal. Was happy to see that. I set her TV on the channel for the first playoff game. Will be ready whenever she is. Left her a note by the TV w/ times & channels-- just in case.

Enjoy shopping Audrey Yes, I have a free package of ground venison, 2 venison steaks and a venison roast that were recently gifted to me. I'm planning on one of the steaks to share next weekend since they are large and were already frozen when I got them. Yes, I'll watch some at the Elks.

Hi all. We are so enjoying a very laid back Sunday. Just what the doctor ordered. I've been reading and napping. Carl is doing the same. LOL June, yes, with feet up MJ what a wonderful organization YM is. Carl and I both read the article on that 1o4 yo Veteran. A dear Marine friend of Carl's sent it to him, not to mention it was in our newspaper. LOL to Rose attempting to boss your DM around. I bet that didn't go over well at all. I'm so happy that she is doing better. Yes I'm sure if you had a clear plate things would have been handled differently. You did what needed to be done and it's all good. I'm sure she will appreciate the note and enjoy the game. Susi you were very attentive to Maddie. Sorry the egg rolls had to be spiced up. At least you taste tested them. I'm not familiar with working with egg roll wrappers. They sell them all over. Next time I'll have to check out the points. You scored some great deals Enjoy the Elks with your sister. Audrey enjoy your Costo trip. Time for me to sit again and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee. Will try to CBL...if not, see y'all tomorrow.

Since we got to church last night, slept in this morning. Sunny but cool here. Breakfast has been eaten and tracked. Hydration has begun along with movement. I’m smiling and focused on blue as I watch football. It must be playoff time. Have a good day everyone.

Cathy I hope you get to talk to your granddaughters. Thanks for the good wishes.
June Thanks for the good wishes. The problem is more with DH.He no longer drives in Austin and he is unsure about how we will get to the hospital and he will get back home.Today was the 2nd time in 7 days he has brought up issues with the surgery.Today was in the church parking lot of all places. We did go up front and ask for prayer.I feel more of a peace about it but I just mainly want to go to the appointment and find out all what is involved.Someone mentioned maybe people in our church could help and that is a good possibility. He is in pain every minute he is awake from his stroke and I told him if there was a surgery to help him I would have insisted on him getting it years ago. It's not that he wants me in pain.I think sometimes men just don't understand what we are going through.I wore the old brace to church and by time we came home and I was able to take it off I was really hurting.Sitting in a pew for an hr evidently doesn't agree with it.The knee doesn't like the drop in barometric pressure now it doesn't like the sunny chilly weather. It's true about aging parents and not understanding sometimes why they can't do what they want to still.Prayers for you and your mom.Your leftovers sounds good.
Ann I'm glad you slept well.I hope you are enjoying your peaceful day.
Susi I keep telling DH that.Hopefully he will come around once he hears what the surgeon has to say.Enjoy your event.

MJ, I’ve been in charge of Valentines for Vets for many groups from Brownies and then Assisteens and also with our women’s club. We have a VA hospital in Fresno. YM sounds like an active thriving group with lots of adult support. June, my mother always looked and acted younger than her age. Glad your mom is acting more normal. The Assisteens used to volunteer at a nursing home and there were always bossy residents. Susi, you really did a lot of cooking today. Enjoy the games. The Chiefs have won the first one as I am writing this. Yay for Patrick Mahones. I’ve been trying to learn more about quarterbacks this year. Cathy, I hope you are able to Skype with your granddaughters. Becky, I imagine sitting in one spot for an hour with or without the brace is painful. Hope you can get some relief soon.
