BACK ON TRACK TUESDAY... OY VEY WHAT a weekend!! I think I did OK with my eating - but with no true measurements and no real tracking... WHO really KNOWS?? UGH!
I had a good time - so that counts for something, right? NOT!! I need to learn how to have a good time and not let food and alcohol be the "focus"!! I have always known Ken's family are "drinkers"... but WOW - next time I WILL be more focused and prepared!! Next time I will have my seltzer with me - and just focus more!!
So we got down there Sunday - left way later than planned, due to snow removal - and just plain moving slow! LOL That was OK... the 2 brothers and their wives met us at the hotel bar for a drink. From there we went to the pub for dinner - and drinks... then from there back to Eric's for drinks and a card game! Oh don't get me wrong - I am not blaming anyone but myself - but next time, if I have my bottle of seltzer IN MY HAND, I will drink it...
We did use the tub for half an hour or so before bed - but next time we probably won't worry about getting a hotel with a tub - since we weren't there all afternoon as we thought we would be! LOL Hotel was real nice though...
Yesterday we slept late! Since I had't slept much during the night - I fell asleep around 6 and slept until 8! Nothing scheduled anyway - except Ken's eye appointment at 3, so we had time to just dawdle on the drive home!
I was pretty wiped out and "in a mood" by the time we got home though... so got groceries and stuff taken care of - paid a bill or two - oh sent an email about my new pillows - the set of two only came with ONE!
OK Gotta get moving - will try to catch up. Missed ALL of yesterday here - so not sure I can catch up yet... but will read back and see... ♥

Simple Sunday - was simple enough... no tracking - no measuring - no thinking... UGH... but I did have a good time getting together with DBILs and SILs and 1 nephew! Nate was still home on Christmas Break, so he tagged along... 20 years old... went back to UMass yesterday to start classes today!
Oh we talked - and we laughed... felt good! Hope we do it again soon!
Well 2 days of no focus - no real planning... the Irish Pub we went to had some nice specials... and no I had not planned ahead! What a mess I am!!
OH yes... with this new management group at the store - they already see where, even IF sales remain the same the profit will be so much higher - without paying Jim & Barb's living expenses! SO yeah, the new owner would get a percentage at the end of the year - and what's "left" will go to the 5 employees.
I slept SO MUCH BETTER last night - BUT... could NOT fall asleep! I was up until after 10! Just couldn't wind down. Tonight will be different... today I will be eating right - drinking my water - we are having a higher point dinner (leftovers from the freezer) so the day will be ALL ABOUT 0 point foods, and lots and lots of water/seltzer and tea!
I am feeling groggy and yucky today - I'd call out, but that would not be fair to Debbie (just coming back) with all the upheaval from last week... so will take some Advil and Just-Do-It.! HA!
Yes, I carry insurance... but once he's 65 all bets are off! LOL I want to see what he can get for the Part B, elsewhere... and maybe MY insurance can go DOWN to a SINGLE - not FAMILY plan! Exactly - there is no way we can survive him out of work with no pay for TKR... just can't do it!
I need to do some cleaning/purging every night this week! With Ken's BD dinner here on Sunday - I have a lot to DO before everyone comes!
Yes, Ken had made reservations a while ago - FREE Hotel, using points... but couldn't cancel after Saturday at midnight, so we gambled on the weather - and it paid off - we were later than planned, but didn't ruin the whole day!

Gabrielle: AHA!! You feel it too! "guilty" for not including your DM sometimes.... hey that's how I feel about my sisters sometimes!! Sorry - I do "get it"... hopefully she came and everything went fine {{{hugs}}}
TRACKING - OK Back to it today! I actually started yesterday - but think I missed something... breakfast was so filling, that we didn't have lunch - but when I tracked it, it was WICKED HIGH in POINTS! UGH! Ya' think EGGS... cool... easy to work with ... then they add the other stuff - and OH BOY it goes downhill FAST!
OH the current owner - that uses store money to pay his bills - is the guy going OUT! So no worries about him... the new owner will just give them the capital to keep the store running, and his money (separate) will be used for the building/property... he will not be skimming money off the top. The NEW owner will take his percentage from the profit at the end of the year... like a sensible business person would do! I hope this summer, you and the boys can get one day together to just clean out the closets together!
I am already "stressing" over the next 4 weekends are "busy"... I wanted to be upstairs in the spare room - helping Tracy to get it cleaned out... oh well, someday!

Good Morning ~ had a good OP day yesterday - found out the movie Frozen II was sold out! lol I forgot those Daycare centers would be buying group tickets as an outing for kids - no school every where - anyway, Linds and I figure we'll see it on Disney Plus - but went shopping for her internship and did fairly well. Real struggle finding dress pants that fit her - poor girl - but focused too on some nice tops and sweaters. She wants to wait to start the internship to see what everyone else is wearing before buying anything more - all good - I found 3 nice cardigans for work each one $6 at Old Navy Clearance lol Spent some time yesterday in the kitchen making a new recipe - Mexican Chicken, zucchini, black beans and corn. Ehhh - lots of chopping and lots of work. And it's similar to the Chicken and black bean chili I made twice! geesh - a bit disappointed but the chicken tastes better with this newer recipe. I'll take it for lunches this week - Also made dinner for the family - Meatloaf using ground turkey and a bit of ground beef. Mashed potatoes in slow cooker, and fresh steamed broccoli. It was all very good and no, no one knew about the ground turkey. LOL that's our little secret here... Off to work today. Lindsey returns to campus today - I will miss that Girl but she is ready to get back! - Eye Specialist after work today to monitor the swelling under my cornea (from Shingles last July) so no Childcare tonight! yay! Track your Day! It really does help!

Sue: Thanks for starting us off - and MIX IT UP MONDAY! I surely mixed things up yesterday!!
Yes, even WW is not a rigid program any longer... remember those days?? I first joined when the first 2 weeks were a set meal plan... THEN we could start mixing it up by doing so many bread, so many fat, etc., and MAN I lost weight, but it was a LOT of "counting"!
Will be tracking today - If.It.Kills.Me.!
I am going to make an appointment with the finance guy at the bank... at this point, I;d rather talk to someone "independent" of the bank, but not sure who to go to and so Matt will do for now! He is technically AT the bank, but doesn't work FOR the bank... well he is hired by the bank, but his system and ours do not mix/mingle... anyway... I need to start somewhere!
Oh it WAS cold here yesterday - but driving in the car, with the sun shining - it was so nice!
Christine: WOW to over 8" of snow... I did well with our 4 thank you! LOL
OH I hope you enjoyed the time with the girls, and the movie... did you find lots of nice clothes for Lindsey??
What would she do if she took a "gap" year?? I assume live at home? Find a job? Maybe take some online classes just to keep things in motion??
YES let's focus on more protein - less snacking - and getting to WALK!!
Gabrielle: YAY for Sunday being a nice day for all! I am doing a turkey dinner this week, for Ken's BD... gotta get one of those big birds OUT of the freezer! LOL Oh dear, yes, wait for daylight to venture out to the school!!
Lisa: WOO HOO to saying YES to the dress!! One more thing off her mind... so sorry the venue is becoming an issue!
Oh I am that down and up cycle again too! Need to focus on DOWN and NOT going back up! UGH! Will not have lost what I wanted to lose before Dr. appointment next week - oh and labs this week... but oh well, I am what I am!! Maybe NOW the doctor will see I.Need.Help.!
Shelly: Awww, hope you are feeling better today when you wake up {{{hugs}}} Good luck with new dentist!!

Mornin' Christine... Aww darn! Yes, a co-worker had that problem a week or so ago too! She and her granddaughter got the last 2 tickets to the showing!! LOL They had to sit in Handicapped seating...
Woo hoo for finding cardigans for yourself!!
Hmmm, mashed potatoes in the slow cooker.... must look into that!! Good luck with eye appointment! My DDIL was at Urgent Care then shipped to ER - then hit the eye specialist, due to scratch on her cornea! No idea when/how it happened... last I heard she was on antibacterial eye drops to ward off infection!!
Yes will track today... before I eat... need to search for meatballs as that is what's for dinner! Just want to get things OUT of my freezer spaces! LOL
OK Need to get moving... today will be a very hectic day - due to leftover work from last week. I will give it to Debbie - but if she is "overwhelmed" I will offer to help out. Decided I will not just do it for her.
Sorry, being petty here... but no one does my work when I am out - so my leaving her with some work will not be any different... at least I got the critical stuff done in a timely manner!!
Meanwhile I need to get MY daily stuff done as tomorrow and Thursday are my TWO DAYS to get the settlement caught up!
Will try to CBL.... who knows how this day/night will go!
TRACK IT ALL Today... not a scorecard? Just a tool for success!!! ♥hugs♥

Good morning! I'm glad to see it's sunny today, and that makes me feel a lot better. I need to go to the credit union this morning and get one thing I forgot at the grocery store yesterday. Also going to call Extra Help again and the attorney's office. When I called the attorney's office yesterday morning, they said that no one that could help me was in during the morning, but I expected to hear back from them in the afternoon. I'm going to try one more time tomorrow if I don't get a call back, then my next step is to either show up with my proof of payment or emailing our attorney...I almost feel like someone doesn't want to get in trouble if they missed the payment, but yet again why wouldn't they just call me then???
Carole-sounds like a fun weekend overall. I know that I am always mixed up on days after a 3 day weekend when I'm working. Hope that getting caught up won't be too bad!
Christine-we were thinking about a movie yesterday, but Greg said that the theater had been packed even with the late morning/early afternoon movies and makes sense since the kids are out of school, the libraries are closed, and it's cold outside. So we didn't go. I still would like to see Little Women. Meatloaf sounds good, maybe I will try that tonight???
Sue-sounds like a full day, I can't wait to see your picture, I'm a big sunflower fan!

Gabrielle-yes the students return to U of I today but I know the break is nice. Hope you enjoyed time with your DS. Sorry you had to go open the school yesterday on the MLK holiday.
Shelly-sorry about the sty - I can't remember if they say warm or cold compress is best? Hope you got some rest last night.
I think in a couple of weeks I will switch to purple and see if that make any difference. I see online that it is quite a lot of people have a specific color work for them.
Try to BBL. Happy Tuesday!

Oh how could I forget? I got a call from a disappointed daughter yesterday - another girl! She was so hoping and feeling a boy, but that's not how it works, as I mentioned that she was going to be a Jeffery Loren (after having a girl first) and we didn't even have a girl's name picked out, but surprise - we got a Julie Nicole! She will be ok and she said that they are going to renew their current lease so they won't be moving at the end of April, that's good news. Her ankle is still achy but doing better.

Good Morning
Well I went and signed up at Planet Fitness yesterday and took a tour of the place. It's very nice and they have a lot of machines also, not like my old place, I was always waiting for a machine towards the end, I think they got to big to fast. They have these Hydro massagers at PF and oh my goodness that was so nice on my back. I meet with my trainer tonight for orientation and to get my program worked out for what will be beneficial to me for successful weight loss. The trainers are free with the program unlike my old gym they wanted an additional 122.00 per month on top of the gym fee. I think I'm going to like this place a lot better. I also went to Hobby Lobby for the first time yesterday and man o man that's a dangerous place for me to be. I loved it.
Carole glad you had a good time visiting with family. Yep drinking is my down fall also, I need to cut back as well. We can do this can't we. Good luck getting caught up today on your OWN work and not everyone else's.
Christine oh bummer about the movie with the girls yesterday, but sounds like you got some retail therapy in as well and got Lindsey some nice clothes for internship. Wow to 24 hours of snow, that is a lot of snow. It's raining and around 50 degree's here. Kerry goes in for surgery on Thursday so I only have to deal with WWOW for 2 day's, I don't know what has gotten into her, she's actually being nice for once.
OK gotta run for now have a great day everyone
Jenny

Evening. Just stoping in for a minute again. My eye is swollen pretty bad today!!!! It was about double in size this morning from last night and hurts something terrible. I love taken 2 full days of antibiotics so hope it starts going down soon. Dentist appointment with the new dentist I think went well. They called and had a cancellation so I am taking that one to start on my dental plan I need a total of 3 fillings and 2 crowns. Hoping this dentist has better luck with my fillings staying where they belong and not falling out all the time. Still feel a little guilty like I’m cheating by going to someone else. Oh well just gotta do what’s best for me. I do hope she’s pretty gentle though. I’m kinda a wimp when I have my teeth worked on.
I will check in tomorrow if I get a chance and hopefully start back with personals.

Good evening! With Track Tuesday being today, and needing to leave the house by 4:15 am, I wasn't able to post here since I had to make my lunch...so glad to be home (finally home at 6:30 pm) and in my slippers. Need to track my day today...what a busy, long day today! So many meetings. Tomorrow we drive to Tahoe to work with a district up there. There is a lot of snow so it should be a pretty drive...and I'll have company (nice!) Also, I don't remember if I mentioned it, tomorrow night I get to see "Dear Evan Hansen" with DS25's GF! Her office had tickets and we got them for a great price. It's a "school night" but I am so excited!
Sue: Your next piece of artwork sound like it will be pretty--I love sunflowers! What a nice way to end the day. Wow, I am amazed how cold it is in NE...guess that I can't complain about the cold around here! Sounds like it would be nice at work with the boss away (don't get me wrong -- he sounds like a nice guy but the peace and quiet would be nice). Hope that you had a great day!
Carole: Loved reading about your trip and YAHOO that both brothers and their wives joined you! So glad that you had that time away and relaxed...and you can always start tracking again. A number of people in our meetings have talked about the shock of tracking after eating something...we've all done it! Lesson learned, right? Ouch for DDIL's eye! I scratched my cornea years ago and it was so uncomfortable---at least I think that vision isn't affected. The new owner of the store sounds like a much better manager... I hope that it works for Ken. Yum--turkey? That will be so great to have. With DH sticking with his vegan diet, I usually only have a small amount of meat around. I am still eating eggs and cheese though. Hope that today was an okay day for you and that you feel more on track today---you can do it!

Christine: How did the appt with the eye doctor go? I hope that things might improve? Awww....I know that you (and DH!) will miss Linds...it will be good to hear what she lands on in terms of plans. What are her roommates doing? It seems like kids sometimes follow the lead of friends. So glad that you found some good clothing deals for both of you, but sorry that you couldn't get in the movie. If the theater was full, you probably wouldn't have wanted to be in there anyway, LOL. Hope that the day went well for you today and that you got home at a decent time after the doctor's appt.
Lisa: What great news about the wedding dress! Wow, such great timing to find it! Next I think will be the venue....it will all line up. Oh boy, another girl!! So much fun! Did you say the baby was due in July? Trying to remember...so glad that her ankle is improving. So, did you make chili? I am so happy to have some extra that I was able to freeze...it will come in handy one long day. I am on purple (switched when DH committed to being vegan) -- it is okay. I might wind up switching to blue or green at some point though. It's nice to have choices!
Shelly: So, what did you think about the new dentist? I hope that you feel confident about him. So sorry about your eye too...hope that it is all cleared up quickly. How are the kids doing? Recovered from RSV?
Jenny: Yay for joining the gym and it sounds like a great deal (for a lot of reasons). Will Audrey go at the same time as you? I know that she drives herself.... I'll be thinking positive thoughts for DH and his surgery on Thursday. Glad to hear that, in the meantime, WWOW is being nicer
Well, I need to answer a couple of work emails and call it a day. I need to visit with DH and feel like a had at least an hour off....will check in tomorrow morning. Hope that everyone has a good night's sleep.
