Today/Thursday I food will plant based whole food and wholesome. It will be a good day. Yesterday the food was not vegan and little of it was vegetarian so lunch was a write off for the Veganuary challenge. I stayed up till 3am getting a book read and another one finished then both reviewed. I had recorded the book to read by publication date in my food journal so wasn't sure I could get it read/reviewed in time or not...squeaked by. The other is a debut author so wanted to get the review up as quickly as possible. Today there is more reading but I am home and comfy and will also do some exercising so that will be good.
JUNE: I have had two late nights. If I need a nap I will take one but am leaning toward an early night tonight (before midnight) instead. I was working on reviews...am still behind and really want to get ahead Your husband in the kitchen sounds interesting. My brother-in-law makes pizza and often uses half the dough and freezes the rest.
ANN: My husband cooks but does not clean up - like yours - but does not bake. What are you reading?
SUSI: My granddaughters rescue cat is with the vet - possible pancreatitis - never heard of this - they are worried. They have only had Biggie since the November birthday so hope Biggie's problem is easily solved. Hooray for your nephew being back in port! The markup on beverages is so high that I often don't bother and prefer to buy a bottle of wine for home instead of a glass or two out. I swear the markup is four times or more! I really appreciated the navy when we were evacuated from Beirut in 1984 (on my birthday)!
LADONNA: Stay warm! I had to look up purlough and found:
We discussed a recipe for Sayadiyeh yesterday that is made by baking a fish then boiling the bones for broth to cook rice in - this is served with the deboned fish bits on top with toasted nuts and a sauce on the side. Sauce usually has tahini, garlic, lemon and water - some variations on the sauce
BECKY: There were more demonstrations in the streets against the cabinet approved by President Aoun. The parliament still has to vote to approve or not. If no approval then the Prime Minister either steps down or tries again. It is a mess.
BEE: Tasty sounding dinner...how do you do the potatoes garlic mash? My husband likes garlic and lemon and olive oil in mashed potatoes or potato kibbeh (potatoes, onions, mint and bulgur)
PAM: You are so faithful to Curves!
Okay...need to do a bit more walking then back to the computer again

Good morning, Ann - Becky - Bee - Audrey - Cathy - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... and for Son#1, who is slowly getting better but had something hit his gut on Tuesday again.
⛅️🌤☀️🌤⛅️🌤☀️🌤⛅️
DivaTaxi's off duty; Son#1 WFH today. MHMR will take place. Then that's IT for the day. It's DDIL's birthday and she is off from work, but DaBoyz have wrestling and soccer tonight and she and Son#1 will cover.
This Saturday is KSMBrunch. DBigBro e-mailed Toots yesterday to say that if it rains, he's not coming. Since we were going to the location closest to him, that will change if he's not in the mix. But I spoke with DBigSis and the three of us will go out no matter what (DBabySis is in her "winter hibernation").
There's nothing awful going on - just a lot of scatty little bits of things. Yesterday, for example, we stayed at the MousekeHouse after MHMR until the house cleaners left, then we went grocery shopping at ShopRite, plus returning the sterno racks from the Cousins' Christmas Party. The Kressling came after school and then we added the Zigster from 6 to 9 PM. I've been on my kindle a lot, which is my not-favorite-device on which to post.
One bright note: I got my anastrozole script filled at ShopRite pharmacy and picked it up yesterday. And, after paying $3.31 for it monthly at CVS, it was $0.00 at ShopRite - a really nice surprise! The next scripts to go there will be two of Toots' meds that need new scripts from the cardioDoc. Must remember to get those underway. CVS will be in the past.
And I found a pic of the Kressling's band trip to Trenton on 1/14; if the link works, he's the blond head on the right with the trombone.
Coffee's a necessary part of morning... ☕☕☕...
⛅️🌤☀️🌤⛅️🌤☀️🌤⛅️ Have a healthy-eating day, all! ⛅️🌤☀️🌤⛅️🌤☀️🌤⛅️

Ann, Becky, Bee, Audrey - I'll join you on a KOKO day Cathy - I can get up that early but not go to bed that late LOL. At least you had a good time yesterday even if the food was not what you wanted. MJ - Great news on the prescription. I switched to Shoprite years ago and find them much cheaper. Thanks for the link. He is growing so darn fast! Meeting was fun last night and I got all the stuff to Cheryl without getting home too late. I am looking forward to a a quiet night. Tomorrow I am going to a Pampered Chef party with a singing DJ. Should be interesting

Gooooood morning
Ann Today will be a good day for Planning, tracking, hydrating, and moving! So happy that you not experiencing any pain at this time. An answer to prays. That happens to me -- if I eat dinner too early, then I tend to nibble through the night.
Ha ha ha. . . As a rule most male cooks that I know do not "do" clean up. R is an exception though. He will cook, bake, & clean. I do not mind leftovers once or twice. But eating them the 4th time. . . well...
Audrey Dinner time can be the tricky meal for me, too. Glad that Bob is able to eat more solids now.
Bee Have fun in the kitchen as you KOKO. How is your vision and comfort level with your eye?
Becky Sorry to hear that the new brace was not better than the old one. Sending prays. Maybe the surgeon can offer some ideas about building up your energy? Here's something that I do to add protein. I find that adding Gk yogurt to the mix helps. (Have seen online that you can strain less expensive plain yogurt to make your own Greek yogurt. I buy Aldi's brand, which is $2 less than name brands). Cathy Would give you credit for eating vegan during January! If you broke down each and every meal you ate so far, the per centage of vegans meals would be impressive. Too often we just do not give ourselves enough credit. You were quite productive! Good that you could crank out two reviews.
Still praying for your country and countrymen.
LaDonna Thx for the explanation. Will have to try to make rice that way. Wow. . .that seems like brutal temperatures for SC. Hope that it warms up so that you can walk outdoors.
Mj Kudos on making another busy day work and staying OP. Wonderful picture of the band! Plz bear w/ me, is this the event in which Kressling assumed first chair role? I think I see him in the second ro, but .... R's sister is fearful of winter driving, too. I am Ok w/ general winter driving, but not w/ ice. Ofcourse, I was not comfortable w/ driving R long distance as his spine fused.
Pam Yes, exercise just puts you in a better frame of mind and gives you energy for the day.
Susi Can see why the BYOB restaurants would be a better option! Yikes, $15, sounds steep to me. Ha ha ha . . . R would point out that I rarely order anything but water w/ lemon for a meal.

Thursday's goals Eat a hearty breakfast. Pack up my book bag and head to work early to run off worksheets. Finish getting prepared surgery on Fri. morning. Glad that it should be under a nerve block rather than general anesthesia. Plan the rest of the day around turkey dinner.
oh forgot-- Becky, I buy Brooks Addiction walking shoe, which has a wide toe box and great arch support.
