Slept a little late this morning - up at 4 to go to the bathroom - shut my alarm off, because I "KNEW" I wouldn't fall back asleep... well, guess what... I fell back asleep! OH well... another hour of sleep did me no harm! I feel very tired this morning, but also think I slept good - if that makes any sense!??!?Well Fitbit says I did not sleep all that well... so there ya' have it! Oh well, I tried! I was in bed early, shut TV and tablet off at 8 PM... fell sound asleep... then Matthew called at 9! UGH!! All's well, he was just calling to let me know the schedule for next weeks appointments! Anyway, I am up - I am still tired - but I think I have to learn to just live with it - so life goes on!
Yesterday WORK IT WEDNESDAY Went Well! Tracked the day - slight tweak in dinner, but same recipe. Ken did it in the crock pot at lunch time so it was ready when we got home! YAY! Not quite the SAME, but close enough! Then he went to a meeting, Tracy was off teaching a class, so I did my dishes and went to bed!
Work was "tough"... I do LOVE working in Amanda's office though! AHhh WINDOWS..... had to close the blinds here and there as the sun moved and was shining in my eyes! LOL It was wicked cold... but MAN the sun coming in the windows was AWESOME!!!
Going to grab coffee and see if I can catch up! ♥

Good Morning ~ caught some info on the WW Site when Tracking my day for Chicken recipes - chose one for the slow cooker today - I was just thinking, 'ugh, what's for dinner?' when that article spoke to me! lol I'm trying the chicken/mushroom/brown rice one. I don't have any fresh mushrooms but I do have all the other ingredients so it should work for me. Head cold jumped on me. Big time. Blech. I gave up late yesterday with the Airborne as I was faithfully taking it every 4 hrs but nope, came home dragging...had breakfast for dinner last night. That's always comfort food to me. Took Nyquil for first time in years and YES it worked! I slept a good 7 hours! YAY Had my follow up orthopedic appointment yesterday for my foot. It's slowly getting better but will be a LONG road ahead. Basically my arches collapsed and pulling the tendons causing my toes to sprawl out. It will only get worse unless I wear arches ALL the time. He chuckled, said his own wife was mad at him for that suggestion as she loved her fashionable footwear BUT he said wear good sneakers with my orthotics (I have custom made ones from plantar fasciitis days) and within 2 years I will get better. Meanwhile I am to wear the boot with my orhotic support, and 'wean off the boot' but ONLY if wearing the sneakers. No flip flops. No fun loafers. ONLY support sneakers. Also there is a lot of arthritis in top of both feet. He said wear and tear from being active. Geesh, ya can't win, right?

So here is something fun: yesterday was DH's day off. He got a call from their Office saying he received a special delivery from a former customer - Omaha Steaks! Wow! - the Service Manager did us a favor and took them home to his freezer over night but text Gary with the info of several 'bacon wrapped filet' and choice cuts. Not sure what all he is getting but we have NO freezer now! Quick thinking I called our next door neighbor who has a chest freezer in her basement. She still has room - she helped us last year when our fridge died - I pulled out our picnic cooler and Gary will take that to work but asked if I could jet out early from work and get the cooler as we are not sure how long the meat will keep frozen - of course outside temps going up to 40s today lol Otherwise we would have left the cooler outside.
I just hope I don't get corralled into doing Child Care tonight - not when I have to get out to Gary's work place. Tonight is his late night and he's there until 7PM

Carole - YAY for working where there is sunshine! and light! I can just feel shivers of happiness there TAKE YOUR TIME lol and gee, keep using that work space! I know the Bank is on a deadline but man, that is such a nice treat. How's your cold? I feel like I slept well too despite my FitBit saying otherwise. The appointments Matt has next week - is that prepping for his surgery? will the surgery to remove the tumor be next week? Sue - ENJOY your show tonight! I can't believe how quickly that arrived - you will LOVE LOVE DWTS - such a great opportunity and super that Jason thought of it! And don't let the crowded parking get ya down lol It will be worth it - everyone will hopefully behave with grace and courtesy exiting the packed crowded lot. Lisa - I caught your comment about searching for the perfect Mother/Son dance. I remember our close friends' wedding for their son - Jen and Steven danced to Phil Collins' 'You'll Be in my Heart' (?) theme song from Disney's animated Tarzan. Steven loved that movie and watched it over and over when little - so it was so sweet if you knew that about him! Good luck with your search and let us know what you decide. Gabrielle - is today the drive to Tahoe? Or was that yesterday? The snow is pretty isn't it? Just a bit of a pain to navigate...lol...no one thinks of the icy driveways or slush - oh, I got clearance to walk Colby again!! Just not EVERY day as I need to slowly move into the active life again. Oh, and a print out of stretches to do, mostly calf stretches. No problem, as I am excited to get moving again. No pounding the treadmill he cautioned but yes, low impact, stationary bike, short walks, will be fine. Yay!!

Think 1st Thursday.... I need to think about the day ahead, and track it BEFORE I EAT IT... already working on water - so that will be OK, and if I don't take snacks - I don't eat snacks... so I will think 1st about what to pack in my lunch bag - before I pack it!
Christine: OH no... hoping you can nip that headcold in the bud! I seem to be keeping it away (for now) between Airborne and NyQuil and Thieves in my diffuser! I will pull out my Thieves roller today! Good Luck {{{hugs}}}
YAY for taking the night off cooking! I would have asked Carly what SHE was making?? LOL
UGH For the drama at Linds school... yes - let the girl have her 21st birthday... then have it out! Be over it! Hoping it goes well for her.
Sorry for the eye scarring... as if we need one more thing to affect our eyes at this point!
Sue: I don't know how you do it! LOL So many "nights out", even sometimes all in one week! WHEW! Add the 1 1/2 hour drive??
Oh yes, I got my Monthly Management report off on Tuesday - great timing as the annual board meeting was yesterday... so even though Josh wasn't going to push me on it - I think he was glad it was done!
Gabrielle: OH I do hope the rain stopped for your driving last night. But glad DH was there to drive home! I am on BLUE... and it was working... I need to focus and buckle down harder! LOL Ya' know I thought as soon as I gave up the wine, my weight would just start to FALL OFF ME... guess those "empty" calories were not the problem after all! I am also still not sleeping any better... nor "feeling better" either... so not sure what the point was!
Ahh you know me so well! I sat in bed last night and made my first list... this Saturday I have Zoë, and will get the turkey dinner cooked and cleaned up! Then on Sunday when everyone comes - it will be ready, and I won't be stuck in the kitchen the whole time! The following week 2/1 is the bank party, so leaving town for that and not getting home until early Sunday afternoon! Sunday the 9th is Eden's birthday party... she has requested Shepherd's Pie... so that will most likely be done on the Saturday, but the kicker is... SHE invited more people!! She apparently has invited her "other" family... Jaclyn's brothers and father! OH BOY This should be good! LOL I have not told anyone yet... figure let Eden drop that bomb on everyone this week! LOL She is also inviting 1 friend, and her mother! She wanted to include my niece and her kids, but I haven't gotten that far yet... Truly I am fine with it... not sure how many will come - but saw on FB that 1 brother is planning on it! Not sure if my sisters caught that comment or not? Anyway, my biggest concern with them coming is getting the house "ready" for more than just the usual family!! The week after that is the President's Day holiday and when we usually take our niece and her kids to a hotel, or someplace special... even if they come here for an overnight with Eden and Zoë... Not sure yet where that is in planning... Niece's daughter was just released from In-Patient care for her behavior... so to be honest, I am not sure what I want to do or where we should go... This time she was admitted for over 2 weeks as she tried to stab her mother with scissors! Literally was coming up behind her with scissors poised to STAB! She is 9 years old...
Anyway... that's my next 4 weekends of not having much of a "plan" either to what to eat or when to prep... I just don't function well with so much spread out ahead of me. Mostly because I am so dog tired by the time I get home from work!

Oh how I wish I had you and Sue's "energy" when you get out of work!!
Anyway... I know for the most part I can make better choices... I just start to stress over the WHEN everything will get done!
Turkey dinner this week is "easy" for me... I love turkey, and can have a little potato, and very little gravy. I can eat the squash - and don't care if I have stuffing! I will NOT buy wine, so will enjoy water and seltzer, maybe a drink or two, but not a whole day of wine in my hand! I will NOT be putting out all the app/snacks that are always out on TG, so I will not be drawn in by those treats! It will be my only meal of the day - so I can deal!
I just have to be more focused on Friday (new week) and Saturday - leading into Sunday!
Oh dear... sorry you forgot to mention the hot flashes... do they have a portal where you can send a message on line?? LOL Sweating in 60 degrees - sorry, not funny, but MAN My house is 65 and I turn the pellet stove on - as I sit here in flannel pants and a sweatshirt!!
Lisa: GOod luck to finding the right song... have to admit my DS chose the one for us at his wedding, and since I am not a big music fan - I can't even tell you what it was!
Yes, water - water - water... I hit 112 oz yesterday!

Mornin' Christine -YAY for finding a new recipe that you have ingredients to make!! Yes use the crock pot! Was so glad Ken did that yesterday... yes it changed the stew a bit, but with the same ingredients it is still WW friendly!!
OH DRAT! You got it? Sorry... I am still fighting it here! Hoping your good nights sleep will help! {{{hugs}}}
UGH Sorry about the foot report... yeah, kick us while we're down why don't ya!! I too cannot wear my fun shoes... but I do still wear my Vionic heels (wedges)... oh I do have a pair of pretty good boots to wear with pants and skirts... but come summer... UGH... what to wear?!! I have the Vionic loafers too, but they bother my foot! GOod luck!!
NICE gift!! Good luck getting the steaks home still frozen... they are usually packed in a nice cooler with those HUGE ice bag things... I am sure they will hold up fine! That will be a nice treat for you all! SCORE!!
HA! Yes the sunshine office is a great place to be holed up - and shut off from most of the rest of the office! I got 7 settlements "done"... only 8 more to go!! I can still HEAR a LOT... even Kaitlin... she is way down the other end of the room - but I can still hear every phone call she makes! UGH! I heard her several times "commenting" to others about how busy she is, and multi-tasking to get through ALL she has to do! Oh Boo Hoo!!!
Put my ear buds in and forgot about everything except what I have to do!!
Matt's appointments are to consult with the surgeon, and then the usual blood work, Dr visit and chemo (if he needs it). However, it was scheduled for Thursday - surgeon can only do Wednesday, so they were able to move all his other appointments to Wednesday too! It will still require an overnight, as his first appointment is at 8 AM ! Not going to try to do the 2 hour drive to be there at 8! He called to see if I want to go this time... I do... but I think I have to pass. Being away that night this week, will only add to my anxiety about everything? However, I feel that I want to go... have to see Tracy's schedule - not sure I can go "alone". Thinking of taking Zoë, so I KNOW I can't be there alone with her all day - if he still has to go to the chemo! So many things to consider!! I also have my annual Dr. appointment Thursday morning...
Woo Hoo for clearance to walk and bike again!! YOU GO GIRL!! Just take it easy... start slowly... wear the sneakers... it's all good!

OK Need to get moving... oh did I tell you Crystal called out yesterday?? Oh yes, apparently she "went home Tuesday with a fever"... well I'll be darned! She seemed fine when she left work! Oh well... she may as well stay home, she doesn't do anything anyway!!
I already have over an hour OT, and I have only worked 2 days! LOL Well it will be straight time, due to the holiday Monday - but whatever... maybe I will take a LONGER lunch tomorrow?? To cut my hours?? LOL
Hope everyone can THINK 1st, and TRACK this Thursday... ♥hugs♥

Morning Carole, Christine and all to come...
Show was great last night!! Traffic was slow getting out of the parking lot and I noticed the other side of the building was moving faster so we followed that line instead and found out that since we were turning right onto Route 30 there was a 2nd "right turn only" exit in the one front parking lot so they directed us that way and we were homeward bound w/o having to wait our turn at the light!! YAY us!!
Need to get a "lunch" packed I can nibble at as I'm working through lunch to leave for my dermatologist appointment...today is the day the basal cell gets removed. Should be home earlier than normal tonight so will catch up then!
Have a great day all!

Good morning!
Wow, this puppy is dragging today! We didn't get home until midnight so no gym class, no run this morning. Taking my running clothes to work though to get in my run after my last meeting at work today. The play was so good--a very sobering topic, but (for those of us who have had teenagers) a story we can definitely imagine. The music was great--it was a nice evening. Next time though I will not ask DH to drive...he doesn't like messing with his schedule (he has a LOT of freedom with his schedule since he is his own boss) and it would have just been better to drive myself. I will remember next time. Today I am tired, but I will survive!
Carole: Wow, you really do have a lot going on over the next few weekends! Good for you for writing things down and really thinking about it. Sounds like there are definitely some opportunities to make good choices. So, I am wondering, is it possible that your fitbit might not be entirely accurate about your sleep? I wonder if it might be better to judge by how you feel than by the number on that device? I don't wear mine for sleeping, but I do wonder about that. Yay for a sunny office! I agree with putting on the headphones...I am the same way, I hear things in the distance and can't tune them out. Time to tune them out! It would be hard to decide about going with Matt....I know that you will make the best decision though. Wow, that is so frightening about your niece's daughter....I really feel for your niece! I hope that the hospital stay led them to understand what is going on. Sounds like you will have quite a crowd for the very social Eden!! LOL about her asking people! Hey, I have a good Cooking Light Shepherd's Pie recipe if you want to make one "lighter" for you (and whoever else)...my family loves it. Hope that you have a good day today--and I still think trimming back on the wine will pay off in the long run--2 years in my sister still talks about it (which is why I believe in it).

Lisa: How fun (but how challenging at the same time) to be looking for the perfect song! We know that you will find one, but I know it will be hard for me too one day! So glad that the attorney's office acknowledged the billing error...yep, one of the list! Hope that you have a good day today.
Christine: Wow, so exciting to hear that a customer took the time to acknowledge DH's good work! Uggh---doesn't it just figure that the temps warm up? Nice that the neighbor has room though. Hope that you can get out of work at a decent time. Good news from the doctor but, WOW, you are one patient girl! That is a long time for recovery! I don't wear fancy shoes anyway, but still appreciate having options---SO glad that you can walk Colby (who will also be happy and get on the bike! Now that Linds is gone, you have your space again, right? I hope that today goes smoothly with getting the beef home and all.
Sue: I'll be that show was great! And your sunflower painting is beautiful too! Hope that you have a good day today--you sound more chipper than I am!
Okay, signing off as I am running late. See you all tomorrow morning. Wow, this is going to be a long two days--no more late things on school nights!

Afternoon all...appointment didn't take too long so been home for a bit....made some chicken salad with leftover rotisserie chicken, red grapes, celery, onion and a little Miracle Whip Light....since I worked through lunch I was a little hungry! It hit the spot and I made enough to take for lunch tomorrow....WIN! Time to head back a couple days to catch up!
Shelly...bummer about the sty! Sounds like you needed to head to bed early on Monday!!
Carole...glad you had a fun visit with Ken's family, sorry the focus with them is mainly food and drink!! Now you know and can be prepared for next time! You can figure out how to stay reasonably OP and still enjoy the company!! I hope that you can start to get together more often...maybe this is the start of a better relationship with Ken's family! Don't fret over not planning for the Irish Pub....next time will be better! Glad you slept better Monday...I hate when I can't fall asleep but then sleep soundly....that was me last the last couple nights....was up way too late but then was in bed for 6 1/2 hours and slept all but 48-54 minutes....slept well, just not long enough!
It sounds like the new management structure at the store will actually financially work out well for Ken and DS....like you said, even if the sales stay the same, getting rid of the owner's living expenses will make a huge difference in the bottom line. I'm sure with the employee input for the actually running of the store and what inventory to have available will likely raise the sales....sounds like although it's the "unknown" it can become a profitable good thing for all!
Carole...last year when Jason was 65 and able to get Medicare it was SO MUCH CHEAPER to keep him on mine.....we have several options....single, single plus spouse, single plus child or family.....it only adds about $50/month to carry Jason for medical/vision/dental on my insurance....with medicare it would be well over $100 per month for medical only!
Christine...never would have thought about daycare centers getting group tickets for movies...my girls were never in daycare since I was only working PT at the Y when they were little so I was home and taking care of extra kids for a little extra money! Yes, it will eventually hit Disney +. Funny, several school around here were in session on Monday...I know, I got stuck behind the buses! Glad you and Linds "thought on the fly" and had a good shopping day instead....don't all women struggle with finding pants that fit....they are all cut so differently! I hate shopping for pants so when I find some that fit, I buy several pairs in different colors. Great find on the $6 cardigans! share the recipe...it sounds yummy to me! Turkey "secret" is safe with us!! LOL!
Speaking of chicken....Martin's Grocery Store is doing their boneless skinless chicken breast sale again...got to buy 40# but it's only $1.29/pound....if you buy 3 cases it's only $1.19....not sure if Sarah will go in for 3 with us, have to order today and pick up tomorrow! I know they have a busy weekend so we'll see, Jason will call her to find out before he orders! Either way, I'll be putting 40-60# of chicken breasts in the freezer on Saturday!

Ah yes Carole...I remember the "old days" of WW....but, do you think that that plan would work for you today....I know things that used to work for me, don't anymore....I'm convinced with each decade our bodies change and our plan needs to as well....who knows, I'm convinced this weight loss thing will always be a mystery to me!
Honestly Carole...part of the reason that we started planning when we did is because Jason is 6 1/2 years older than me....we started planning as he got closer to retirement but for me, I learned some things that I could do along the way and 59 1/2 is the magical age to start moving things around and making them work better for you..... I'm sure Matt will be a good source of info....since he's not officially in the banking system he is independent....it's not like he is working for the bank and encouraging you to get investments through only what the bank offers.
Hopefully you got one of the "big birds" out of the freezer in time to be thawed for Sunday....amazing how long turkeys take to thaw. I do love "Thanksgiving dinner"....will you do all the fixin's on Sunday or just a "low key" turkey dinner??
I had a scratched cornea once Carole...they hurt like crazy!! I was wearing contacts at the time and had been at the beach...the doctor thinks a grain of sand got under my contact and I wore hard contacts then so as the contact "floated" in my eye it scratched the cornea...it wasn't until I took my contacts out and the air hit the scratches that is began to burn and water....I had to leave my contacts out for WEEKS!! It was bad! I too had anti-biotic drops!
Carole....don't feel bad about giving Debbie back some of the stuff from last week that didn't get done....as you said, no one feels the need to keep your work caught up when you are off. Heck, offering to help if she is overwhelmed it above and beyond!
Lisa....I think was are all glad to see some sunshine this week...honestly if it weren't for the winds early this week the cold temps didn't feel too bad as the sun was warm....it felt nice in the car with the sun shining on it all day!! Hopefully you got the attorney "mess" resolved!! I can empathize with DD....both my girls were hoping for a girls the 2nd time but alas, another boy....once the disappointment wore off, they are actually happy to have the same sex because it was cheaper.....plenty of hand me downs....built in playmates....have to admit, I love having 2 girls for the same reason. Honestly, happy, healthy babies is all I ever prayed for!! Sounds like a good idea to renew the current lease and not have to move during the pregnancy....glad the ankle is better!
Jenny....WTG signing up for PF....sounds like a much cheaper and better fit for you! LOL....yes, isn't it amazing how some stores like Hobby Lobby can just suck the $$$ right out of your wallet!! Oh no....WWOW being nice, hope the "other shoe" doesn't drop and she becomes evil again!! Did the bosses talk to her and she's on her best behavior??
Shelly....sorry the eye isn't improving but glad the new dentist seems to be working out. Fingers crossed his "work" holds longer than your old dentist! No guilt for switching dentists...Jason felt the same way when I told him I was leaving out dentist and he stayed for a while but then when he finally switched, he realized his old dentist, as I had been telling him for years, was not helping his situation...he has really soft, thin teeth and his dentist kept "bonding" them and the bonding kept wearing off over and over and over....he switched dentists, and they gave him a mouth guard to wear at night and voila....his teeth stopped wearing down...his old dentist never looked for the reason his teeth were wearing.....Jason was pi$$ed he didn't switch sooner!
Gabrielle...WOW, that was a long day!! OK...need to google "Dear Evan Hansen"! Yes, it' is tough to go out to something on a "school/work" night....my paint nights are 6-8pm so it's not too late but last night the show didn't start until 7:00pm...out around 9:00pm and then over an hour ride home...made for a late night but worth it!! LOL...you can complain about the cold, just NOT to Hannah! LOL!
OK...can't sit here any longer....catching up will have to wait...might try to prop my phone and catch up more from my iPad later....

Hey all. Got 2 fillings done yesterday. As for right no I don’t have another appointment until March. Hoping they have some cancellations before then and I can get in sooner. Today was so slow at work. I should’ve used the slowness and got some extra stuff done but just no motivation. Motivation seems to be an issue lately. I just have problems wanting to eat right and workout Missed 2 days this week due to eye and dentist appointments. Should make it to gym tomorrow.
Hope everyone is doing good. Maybe I can get here earlier tomorrow and see what everyone’s been up to. See you soon
