Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Ruth - I just read about your day ... wow ... unusual events. It does sound like the cat waited for DDs family to come home. Sorry that you had to come home to snow and shoveling. Things will get back to normal all too quickly.
Dottie - yay on winning bocce. I’m sure happy hour was fun too. Glad it’s warming up.
Today is going to be a busy day. Will be in the 40s this afternoon, so I will get out for a walk. I’m also heading to the Y and want to get instructions on how to use the rowing machine. I want to try something new, will get both cardio and upper body workout from that. I hope I like it.
Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy. Sunday will cool down, we will get some snow. Next week we’ll be in the 30s and it looks like no snow until next weekend. That would be ok by me, hope the forecast stays that way.

Well, instead of trying out the rowing machine I decided to do Zumba Gold (senior edition). I had a blast. Of course I went in the wrong direction every once in a while, but for the most part I was ok. Went to the Wellness Center to ask about rowing, but the center was very busy. I’ll stop back on Sunday. My goal is to go to the Y at least 3 times a week. Next week I will see what going after work is like. I can always use the bike, treadmill, or track after work.
Basement CBing for the next hour or so. That’s it for today.

Good evening all. Getting on here late. Doing lots of odds and ends and I think I’m still in Hawaii mode. Talked to DD tonight and she said they are all doing ok. Dogs are home and they need lots of attention. As DSIL said, the big emotions were yesterday when it happened. The girls went to bed at 6 pm last night and got up at 9:30 this morning. DD/DSIL went to bed at 6:30 and got up at 9:00 am! They got way more sleep than Stan & I did. We’re more night owls. We need to go to bed earlier.
Got laundry done finally! Not sure where it came from! Sent all DD’s stuff home that was still here. All their snorkeling equipment, swim suits that were wet from Wednesday and their rain coats which were in a bag with the snorkeling stuff.
I think I finally got thru 3/4 of the mail that piled up while we were gone. Picked it up at the post office yesterday afternoon on our way home, but just didn’t get thru it last night. Mostly junk, but you have to be careful because tax forms are coming and i found envelopes stuffed inside piles of junk stuff, so went thru it piece by piece.
Had my massage this afternoon and it was wonderful. I think I mentioned that the past couple trips to Hawaii my face breaks out in a weird rash. I thought it was a combination of the heat and my Mary Kay night cream being too heavy in the heat. So this year I bought some whipped Revlon face stuff and tried it. Still started breaking out almost right away. Started thinking back and it didn’t happen until we started going to the Westin resorts / villas. I’m beginning to think it’s something they use in the washer or dryer on their bedding. It’s always my face that breaks out and I use facial wipes, so not in the washcloths. that’s why I’m thinking it’s the pillowcases. Was talking to my massage therapist and she suggested I buy a couple pillow cases and take them with and use those instead. Worth a shot! I had thought of it too.
Feel like I’m rambling. Going to bed in a bit. Will try to get on earlier tomorrow!
