This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Feel free to jump in and join us. All are welcome here.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good morning Lora and all to follow. Rainy day here today although it hasn't really started yet. I should get to the supermarket now but I'm enjoying lounging around at home. Am going to cook dinner for DN tonight, making a Skinnytaste chicken parm recipe with a side of pasta and green beans. She is not a very adventurous eater and so I'm sticking to things I think she'll like. Tomorrow I'll make a pork tenderloin with rice and beans and hopefully by Monday she'll be able to cook for herself again. She's doing pretty well following the surgery, quite a bit of pain yesterday still but a lot better today. I'm fine, just tired from the past week, plus woke up in the middle of the night with an excruciating (is there any other kind?) leg cramp and it's still really sore this morning. I think I got dehydrated yesterday and paid during the night.
Lora, hope another day of rest helps both your shoulder and stomach issues even though I know you were hoping for some outdoor activity today. If you're feeling good can you go to your little gym? Or just enjoy relaxing at home. A friend told me about a Netflix series called Virgin River. It looks interesting - do you know of it? We may check it out tonight.
Jana, your decluttering sounds like it's moving along so well and how nice to have a new comforter! Glad DF enjoyed the food bank. So great he'll have something to do outside the house.
RobinMD hope the office drama is settling down. We have so much of that and I know how draining it can be.
Susie, I know you'll be super busy today, can't wait to hear your plans.
Janet, enjoy the time with DS and DBIL before they go back to Israel.
I suppose I should get going. I did make my shopping list at least but the supermarket is in the process of redesigning the layout and the shelves and it was a nightmare there last night. Wish they'd just leave things alone so I can find them.

Good Morning All...slept well, got up and made it to WW just to WI so I get the etools for free... was up .4 - I can live with that. I want to go to a meeting soon, so I can really see what is going on this year. I went for a walk with DD, and I think I will take the rest of the day off and go to the clubhouse gym and ride the bike tomorrow. So...today I will read, go to the church at 4:30 to help set up the kitchen so the children can make bag lunches for the homeless during the church service this evening. As soon as the set-up is finished, I will be going to the bi-monthly bingo game at the clubhouse.
Thanks for getting us started Lora.
Andi - you are a good neighbor...did you say it was gall bladder surgery? I bet you are tired... it was a tough week for you, and then that darn leg cramp last night! I know what you mean about the redesigning of stores...what a pain. Hope you have a relaxing day after you get dinner prepared.
OK...off to read - I have 2 book club meetings next week...one book I have finished, but not the other one.

Good afternoon friends.
Well we ended up not hiking after all. I was still a little sore, and didn't want to aggravate that. So Mark and I hung out and enjoyed morning coffee, then made a quick trip to G'vill to pick up a couple of things each at WM, Aldi, and Publix. I hate it when I have to do the whole trifecta, but today wasn't too terribly bad. I was excited to see the my Aldi had avocados for $0.39 each, at Publix they were $1.00 each. So glad I grabbed a few at the first stop. Haha.
Anyway we came home, got the stuff put away and we've pretty much just taking care of a few light household things like laundry, dishes, etc. Probably kind of the same for tomorrow, as far as I know, and actually that's pretty okay with me.
Susie - congrats on your free etools! Yay you!
Andi - We had a little rain over night or very early this morning (before we got up), but since then it's just been overcast, grey and chilly. I have watched Virgin River. Pretty typical for that genre, some drama, some love interest/romantic tension, some mystery. Not the absolute BEST thing I've ever watched, but certainly far from the WORST. So kind of you to cook for DN. I'm sure she appreciate all of your efforts. I know it must take a huge load off of her during her recovery period.
