Afternoon Ladies,
Had a late night but also had so much fun. I drank a little alcohol and had some chest pain during the night. I knew I should not have done it..Wont do again. Today we may get a short visit in with Jayleigh. Will eat healthy and rest.
Ann, your meal sounds good. one of my faves. I slept in this morning and felt good when I woke up. It was 10:05 and I needed to be at church by 11. I did make it LOL but I was looking kinda rough.
Audrey, I read Ms Moyes first book and really enjoyed but I've not read any of her work since.
Becky, one day at a time is a great way to live. I hope your pain is less today. I know you are ready for resolution.
Bee, I hope you can KOKO and that your eye is well today.
Cathy, have you read any Abbi Glines? I really love her books.
June, I'm assuming R is on blood thinner post surgery, right? I hope the bump is nothing serious. Im kinda like a man when it comes to doctors LOL
MJ, interesting that something is n the works for maintainers?? wonder when the info will be out?
Susi, glad you enjoyed your venison. How did you end up preparing?

Cathy Good goals.I know you will enjoy talking to granddaughters. The appointment I'm having the most trouble in arranging is the class that runs from 5:00-6:30 PM.Nobody wants to drive after dark and DH doesn't drive in Austin and can't see well enough to drive at night.I'm going to see if they will let me make different arrangements when I call tomorrow.
June I know you enjoyed your bubble bath.Men are a different breed for sure when it comes to their health.I hope everything will be okay.
Susi You are such a good cook I know you enjoyed the venison stew.
Ann I'm glad you woke up refreshed. It seems like no matter how much sleep I get I am still tired mostly because of the pain. You must have felt like you were having a heat wave at 34 degrees. We started out at 51 and it's a lovely 74 now.I wish I could go out there and walk.
MJ I'm glad some of the WW members spoke up.I'm glad you enjoyed brunch despite the heavy rain.Enjoy the Pro Bowl.
June The anti-inflammatory is beginning to help some but I can't take anything else like Aleve or IB when I have a headache and there are some side effects but hopefully the good will outweigh the bad.So far we haven't been able to line up any drivers but we mainly need them in March so there is still awhile to go.

June Sometimes it is one hour at a time with the pain.I did get my Brooks shoes today. They aren't the ones you told me about as they didn't have them in my size but I did get some Brooks running shoes although I don't plan on doing any running.I hope you do get a break today.
Ann I agree with coffee being extra good this morning.Enjoy your dinner and water.
Audrey Enjoy your rain.We have beautiful weather if it wasn't for the wind.I do wish I felt like walking outside but inside will have to suffice.Today has been better for the most part.We went to church and that helped. We did have to leave early since Kenneth has developed some kind of respiratory bug and he couldn't breathe inside. He is taking his 3rd nap for the day so far.He can sleep off minor illnesses.Good for you on the scale going down.Enjoy your dinner.
LaDonna I hope your chest pain is gone. That is scary.I hope you get to see Jayleigh.Pain is some better but it all depends on the weather too it seems.

A beautiful day inviting me to get a walk in this afternoon. Meals planned and tracked. Hydrating and movement continues as I smile and keep my eye on blue. Have a healthy day everyone.
Bee: continuing to pray for Kobe’s family and all others lost in the crash.

Popping in again. Our meal was over the top good. And if I end up 'wearing some of it' tomorrow??? So be it. I know what to do to get it to vanish Becky I agree...since I've been 'pain free' I don't get tired like I used to. Pain is a drainer of energy for sure. ((hugs)) Actually because we had a lot of melting going on, it was still too cold for me to walk. I poked my head out the door and quickly came back inside. I don't DARE do a thing to bring the pain back on again. Instead, I house walked and have in my 10,000 steps. I'm good with that. LOL LaDonna, happy you slept in and at least you made it to your service If medical issues are not BC related, I can ignore them with the best of 'em LOL. Happy to say that the burn is looking much better. I'm hoping that the surgeon will tell me that I no longer have to keep sending them every other day. I did skip Friday Saturday and Sunday as he isn't there in his office...but will send one off tomorrow. Bee I heard that also. Prayers going out to the entire family. So tragic. Pam wishing you a healthy day as well. Time to pour myself yet another glass of water

I too heard about Kobe Bryant. So sad indeed.Prayers for his family.

Becky, It'd be great if they could email you a link to join the class online or just watch online. Lots of people don't like to drive at night myself included. I will if need be but I don't see well at night. Is it too far to get an Uber? Bee, so, so sad about the Bryant family..prayers. Pam, glad you had a beautiful day for walking. Ann, I'm so glad to hear the burn is better and you're in less pain..both positives we'll take hope everyone has a restful night

Ann Good for you getting in 10K steps house walking.I have gotten 8K the same way today but I'm done for the day.The new shoes really help my ankles a lot.Kenneth has decided to share his bug with me.I said Gee thanks.LOL.
LaDonna The class is in Austin which is at least 30 miles away.I don't blame anyone for not wanting to drive at night.Yes it is too far for an Uber and too expensive. If it were during the day there would be no problem getting someone to take us.
I hope everyone has a restful night.

Becky - I hope today was much better. MJ - Yay for real pizza! I love CB sirloin when I go. June - Enjoy your tea Hope you get your rain Audrey. I napped, ran a few errands for, picked up lunch and visited with Cheryl for a couple of hours. Loved the pictures LaDonna. Hope you enjoy your time with Jayleigh. Scary about the chest pains. Bee - It's such a tragedy. Becky - Is there any possibility that you can do the class online? With today's technology, there has to be another option. LaDonna - I had time yesterday and made the stew entirely differently than I normally would. I had caramelized a large batch of onions and used that pan to brown the venison with the remaining juices. I put the venison, carrots and red bell pepper in the slow cooker. I deglazed the pan with red wine and added low sodium beef stock with a little cornstarch to thicken it up. Poured that in the crock pot. 2 hours later I added the potatoes and an hour after that I added the mushrooms, some of the caramelized onions and a tablespoon of red wine vinegar. It tasted so rich with little fat. It came out to 5 SP for a very heaping cupful.

Thanks LaDonna and Susi.I decided to look at the paper one more time and it had a link to their website. It looks like there is a YouTube video about it.I signed up online but am calling the surgeon's office to make sure I am reading correctly. It would be a huge sigh of relief not to have to find a driver because I don't blame anyone for not wanting to drive after dark especially in Austin.
Susi Yes today has been better except Kenneth sharing his bug with me but I can handle that.He is worse than I am.
