Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning Everyone! In the 30's, after nearly -30 just two days ago! Laundry, groceries, wrapping (still none done except for older DD's family), still need to pick up a couple things, and I have a lab visit for a blood draw just after 11. Need to get moving!! Have a great day!
Dottie, I haven't had a good nights sleep in too long to remember. Helps that DH no longer snores, and his legs don't appear to be quite as restless, but I'm still not getting rest. I had blood drawn today to check hemoglobin & ferritin levels. I have an appt. with the sleep specialist in Late January (earliest I could get in), and she will want ferritin level info. She's a big believer in starting iron for restless leg. She wants ferretin level at 50, so if mine is low, I'll start my time release iron and see where I'm at when I see her. She can have it checked again and I'll know I've tried that remedy for nearly a month before I see her. I have a Fitbit charge 2 that I wear now and it monitors sleep. It shows I maybe sleep for half hour, then restless for 15-20 min, then maybe awake for 5 min, and so on all night. You are not getting restful sleep when you are awake or restless that much. I think that's the problem she needs to solve. And I do wear my CPap 90% of the time. I have occasional insomnia on top of it, like last night, and that makes things twice as tough. Any ideas from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

Joyce, thanks for the quick start. Hope you are OK, I’m sure you are just busy with working the extra hours.
Ruth, I go thru those restless periods where I wake up every 20 to 30 min. Sometimes I fall right back to sleep but the interruptions don’t give me a good nights’ sleep. Right now I am going thru insomnia. I am very careful with caffeine, a cup of tea in the morning maybe a little diet coke at lunch (split a can with DH) and then no more caffeine for the rest of the day. I’m going to try to eat a little protein, a hard boiled egg, a piece of cheese or some milk about an hour before going to bed to see if that helps. I don’t think I’m hungry at night but I am willing to try anything. Glad to hear that Stan isn’t snoring anymore, that is a help. I used to be able to fall asleep and stay asleep, not anymore. I’m sure your worry and concern for your sister isn’t helping the sleep situation. How is she doing?
Hi to Cathy and Jill and anyone else who might be lurking. Cathy, hope John is improving. Has the OT/PT started? Jill, how is your dad doing? Did some running around today, tomorrow I hope to get my nails taken care of early in the day and then I have a luncheon with some retirees from one of the places I worked, always a good time. DH and I are getting things ready for Florida and we are both adding things to the donate pile and also getting rid of paperwork and boxes. I think our recycling bin will be full before the next pickup.

Good Evening! I still have wrapping to do here but any remaining gifts will be found at the grocery store or maybe Walgreens....just stuff for John's stocking and snacks for a DF's son. He has helped me with my computer several times and will never take any $$. He is a STL Cardinals Fan and I have a new CARDINALS Beer Bucket. While he doesn't drink beer, he does like Pepsi, Doritos, & Switzer's Red Licorice.....CONSUMABLES! One of my MO WW DF's came by today, for a short visit. Sent her home with a few cookies for her DH. Then DH's son and daughter came by with gifts. They got DH a new shower head...one that can be hand held and is also adjustable in height as it is mounted on a vertical bar. I think like this: www.lowes.com/pd/HotelSpa-4-in-Chrome-Showerhead-with-Hand-Shower/50419980I have a few more things to wrap for them and will take their stuff to them in a couple of days. We are hoping to go to his DS's for Christmas Dinner. PT is coming tomorrow, on Thursday, the RN and OT will return. I need to crack the whip and get John to do more of the things they asked him to do...like getting up more, drinking more fluids (seeing some progress), using those two breathing devices they gave him in the hospital. Sorry to hear that Ruth and Dottie are both having some sleeping issues. I hope you both can get it resolved soon. John will sometimes take a single benedryl to help him get to sleep. I think a big part of his problem is the short naps he gets during the day...then at night he isn't very sleepy. Joyce - I hope work is treating you well. Jill - If you stop by again, I wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and better days ahead in 2017. Dottie - when is your target date to leave for FL? Good for you and DH in adding stuff to the donate and recycle piles.
