bbbearsmom You are doing great with your exercise.I think I read you have to make yourself exercise.I may be wrong. I do one 15 min WATP video plus either walk outside or house walk for another 20 min.I also try to get in 250-500 steps/hr between 1:00-7:00.I don't always make all those hours but I do make most of them.

I did a bit...not much...but more than nothing. Hoping more sunny days in the future will inspire more movement.

bbbearsmom, Great job !!!! You're motivating me to do better! I did a 15 min. walk Wednesday and a 30 minute cardio DVD yesterday. I reached my step goal once this week.

Body weight strength & flexibility exercises - every day Heavy weights and ab work - 2 days Classical Stretch video - 1 day Cardio - mini-trampoline - 1 day
I have a basement and am up and down the stairs quite a lot.
I can't seem to get my cardio in more than once a week. I still have my wind when I do it so I guess that's something. The last time I was seen by a medical professional (a Nurse Practictioner) she recommended 5 days a week of cardio. Hah-hah, in your dreams, honey.

I've been down with a nasty sinus cold and only got to the gym Mon & Fri, the rest of the week was a daze. And today I'm feeling so so, not sure if I will, but may take a short walk round the block just to get some fresh air. Tomorrow I begin my SuPrep prep for colonoscopy, which made me want to ask you lani, you did the same SuPrep yes? What did you eat for 'white food' day? I don't eat meat, and to find OP foods is proving difficult. I mean, I can eat eggs and cheese so that's one OP meal. But all I can think of is mac n cheese, which YEAH, but not OP. White bread and cheese, which sounds like a waste of points. Mashed potatoes, which again, YEAH but not OP. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

surfgirl , yes I had the SuPrep. I have never had a "white food day". Is this the day before? My instructions are for clear liquids the day before, which can include broth, juice, jello if not red or purple, black coffee, you get the drift. Other than that, they just wanted to eliminate certain fibers 5 days prior (I only did it for 3): raw leafy greens, small seeds like chia, flax, whole grains, tomatoes, all I can remember. I drink the Suprep mixed with apple juice, not water like they say. On re-reading your post, it does sound like the day before. This is a new one for me, the white food day. luvvinlife, just had one. And ann1953 is experienced also. They may have some info.

So many different ways to prep for the same test. Makes ya wonder....

lani , luvvinlife , ann1953 , I know that all doctors have their own way of prepping, and mine wants normal food today, then tomorrow (2 days before) I am to avoid all fiber including fruits, veg, whole grain, cereal, oatmeal, brown rice, etc. But I can eat meat (which I dont), dairy, white bread, pasta, white rice, eggs. So I call it 'white food' because it's basically pale foods. I think I'll do a cheese omelet for brunch, and maybe pasta with butter and parmesan cheese. I can't think of anything else. I suppose buttermilk pancakes with syrup are okay...it just doesn't feel OP.
Did you ladies see a big loss the week you had your procedures?

borntexan, I did struggle to get myself to exercise. I started by doing five minutes a day and worked up from there, and it worked. I do worry I might get in a mood again and stop, but it feels good when I do it so that should keep me going.

surfgirl, I had the Suprep. God-awful!!! but effective without the crazy cramping. I had an unsustained 2lb. loss. I'm actually up 2lbs. from the day before the prep. Go figure!

surfgirl, yes, largish loss then immediate return. Best to ignore the whole thing in regard to weight .
