Good morning - Thirsty Thursday it is! I did over 100 oz yesterday and will go for that again today! Been tracking pretty good - so by Friday (New week) MAYBE I will be ready for a FULL OP week of tracking!? Sunday will be a challenge, but I am adding a salad bar to the menu - so that should "SAVE" ME in some ways! LOL I will also have the usual pitcher of water, and plenty of seltzer... will not buy wine! I am thinking this purple plan won't be "easy" with a birthday party on Sunday! Menu has changed to DELI MEATS! French baguettes and croissants for bread... that's why I am adding salad bar! Anyway - it will be OK... I can manage!
Jaclyn's father and 2 of the brothers are coming Sunday - but they won't be here until time for cake & ice cream... one brother works so they will shoot up after that! The one thing that makes me nervous is - the father doesn't speak English! That will be "difficult" but the boys and Jaclyn speak Spanish so I guess we have translators!
Let me refill my coffee and catch up with you all ♥

Good Morning ~ still not feeling my best but trying....I did switch to the Amoxicillin but oh my poor tummy...ugh...it always does a number on me. Sigh. Yesterday at work was a definite "full moon" kinda day. The Deans of Students were beside themselves having to make big decisions regarding behaviors with NO support from the Prince. Kind of made me laugh inside as I wanted to say, "Welcome to my world" - but, I didn't gloat. I honestly tried to explain Special Ed Law to them that they couldn't just take away transportation (bus) for a special needs Kindergarten student because he was misbehaving. I pointed out that THEY did not teach him how to behave on the bus, or review the expectations and rules. Remember, this bus is new as we just got service Monday. The Deans were NOT happy with me - but guess what? They called the State for advice and were told the SAME thing lol lol lol What.Ev.Er. I just roll my eyes...I tried to tell them. The Prince left 'for a meeting' and refused to answer their calls or meet. I felt better with having to get my steps in due to the Testing. Usual day was 3,000-4,000 steps but this week has been 8,000 - 9,000 at work alone. My legs are feeling it. Still tracking every day. Today is the first day in a long while I don't have a menu/plan. Falling back on stand-by of salad, apple, and hb egg.

Carole - how's your PC party moving along? I did see the invitation but in my fever induced haze and crazy life at work (just this week) I didn't reply yet - but THANK YOU for the invite. I will not be ordering anything this go-round. I hope your party goes well though!! And yes, much patience needed for Matt with scheduling his surgery. It sounds like it will be in March then Feb. We didn't get the heavy snowfall they were predicting, just an inch or so, and a some rain being called for today. What a mess, just hoping it doesn't turn to ice. Be careful out there!
Sue - is tonight your Orientation class?? Excited for you to try something new and I think you are right - it's for HEALTH reasons far more then appearances of weight loss. I get you. That is why I'm leaning towards a gym as soon as I heal with this foot thing - I agree to needing to tone more then anything!
Ugh...outta time....will keep refilling that water bottle today. Thanks for the reminder Carole!

Sue: Did I read that right Jason will wash the floors?? How awesome is that??
Gabrielle: Ummm, 33 is "warmer"? Oy Vey it does sound COLD... we are at 26 now, and woke to snow! It was supposed to start as rain/freezing rain and turn to snow... so I am not sure what is out there to deal with today!
Yes, good idea to keep your mouth shut - over Ed's meal ideas! I would guess going out would be awfully tough on his new eating style! Hoping it doesn't last "forever" for him/you! Glad he is helping with some of the cooking/planning though, he must realize how tough it IS!
Oh YAY for two Mondays off! How lucky for you!! We get the one President's Day, NEXT Monday.
Yes we will have a 6 year old (next Thursday 2/13) OH yes, science is her thing! I was thinking the bread and the blending must be how the soup thickens... it does sound yummy! I think March is a better expectation for surgery... although I don't see why they can't at least SCHEDULE it - even in March... so he KNOWS so he can plan!
Jenny: Do you get paid mileage? We do - if we have to go to another office, we get the National "standard rate" for mileage... separate from our paycheck! Glad you like the idea of roving... you will be great at it! Filling in here and there - new people - and gets you away from WWOW! Spring and summer are good times to be out and about!
I have pretty much given up wine altogether!! Except when we go out!
I work with a LOT of people that are doing some sort of DIET... yup, they ALL LOSE WEIGHT... but then it starts coming back! Much like WW though... If we don't follow it for the rest of our life - the weight will come back! Been there - done that!! I'd love to sit in on the nutritionist meetings with Matt & Patti... but that would be butting in too much I think! LOL
My PCP said the same thing about my back... even thin people have disk problems, so while it would be good for me to lose weight - not to expect my back to be all right because of it!
HOW in the WORLD does a newborn baby get the Coronavirus??? WHO in that hospital is infecting people???I had not heard that! We have a (fairly) local girl quarantined - she has flu like symptoms, and may or may not have been on the flight with the guy in Boston that has the Corona-virus...
Sue: YAY for getting the place ready for Jason to wash the floors... how lucky are you? Huh??? Eh, whole wheat pasts is fine with me... I am looking into a better spiralizer to maybe make zoodle things to mix with the pasta... instead of either or - just mix them together...
Oh I know... it's not about losing weight - it's about being healthy... but I need to lose the weight too! The 30 minute circuit never did much for me... never got my heart rate "up" I don't think...
OH Sue - you know me too well! Coming home and trying to get things caught up around here on the computer - led me to more grazing than dinner... YES... getting the settlements DONE is a HUGE RELIEF! However... now that it is month end/new month, Accounting has not posted, so I am already "behind" again! LOL Only 3 settlements and they are "done" except for plugging in the accounting figures to see if I balance... but it just made me laugh! I get caught up and then Account holds me up again!
Good luck at PF tonight... I know you will enjoy it once you get there - heck you sound like even getting there is not a problem! Good for you!!!

Morning Carole, Christine and all to come....got about 10 minutes to do a little catching up!!
Gabrielle...makes me giggle when I see "little warmer - 33 degrees"....amazing what temps do to our attitudes some days!! YAY for two "meeting free nights"!! I'm sure you could get used to that!! YAY for two Mondays off....me, I'll be at work as usual!! Printing doesn't stop for anything! I can't wait to try the soup, sound pretty easy to make and yummy!!
Yes, Sarah is still very tired and rundown....I think I mentioned yesterday that the doctor told her it would be 3-4 week till she felt "herself". She does have to have a colonoscopy in March so she was calling last night to ask if Jason could pick her up afterwards....his schedule is more flexible than me or Josh so he will just leave work, pick her up at the hospital, drop her at home and head back to work....then he can make up his time if needed. I could do that when I was salaried but not any more!!
Jenny....glad you are excited about the new "roving" opportunities at work. Yes, it will get you away from WWOW on some days. I'm convinced, WWOW will always have something to complain about. Glad all the plants are fairly close to you...how long of a drive is it to your "home plant" I will say, the "nudge" to try PF was a sudden death of a co-worker's DH at the age of 58....cardiac issues!! With HBP, cholesterol, etc in my family history I need to do something. Yes, the cardiac implications for the KETO diet is scary. While my labs are good, I want them better and all the full fat foods and other "no so cardiac friendly" foods on KETO is would never be my option. I will say the coworker that is struggling feeling deprived at the moment said when I mentioned the heart disease potential "well by I lost the weight and look great"! Say WHAT??? Doesn't matter how you look if your insides are dying a slow death!!
Time to get moving....my gym bag is ready so Planet Fitness....here I come tonight!!

Good morning! We got about 3 inches of snow since yesterday afternoon and overnight. No sun and about 25 out so it's here for awhile. Did some shoveling in the driveway. Really not too bad
Thinking about what's for dinner 🤔
I am back to watching the Young and the Restless. I really need that phone to ring with a new gig!
I need to catch up on reading posts again. Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Evening all....I survived my orientation and limited WO....didn't last very long but got to start somewhere! Oh, I took advantage of the Hydro-massage....OMG, what a treat!!
Carole...thanks for starting ups off today. WTG on the water!! You are truly our "water woman".... Sounds like you are getting back into the tracking mode again....you've got this....you just had a "bump in the road"! With the salad bar for Sunday, you will do great! I'm glad Jaclyn's dad and brother's are coming. I'm sure it will be awkward with the language barrier with her dad but Jaclyn and the boys will definitely make it work!
Christine...sorry this sinus infection is still dragging on...was hoping the switch to Amoxicillin it would start to improve. Bummer you tummy doesn't like it....does it help if you take it would food?? Gotta love "full moon" kind of days!! I never realized how much the cycle of moon influenced people until I worked in a nursing home....oh my!! Glad the Deans are seeing what you have dealt with for so long.... You must be very satisfied in knowing that when they called the State they got the same answer you had given them.....have to admit, the shift in things to a more positive place for you makes me happy!!
Yes...tonight was the orientation class and I was met by Zack, a burly guy with a scruffy beard and a "man bun" but he was sweet. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with what would be good for me. I had told him that my knees don't "like" the TM and he said that that is very common with joint replacements because the surface is very hard and unforgiving...he encourage me to use the bikes and with my back, the ones with the seat. He gave me weights to start at for the machines...I really like him! I told him I had signed up for the core class next week and my concerns with my osteoporosis and degenerative disc issues....he said "no worries, I can tailor a workout to work around any physical issues"! I really like him. I'm hoping to take the upper and lower body classes too. He only takes 3 per class so I won't feel like I'm "getting lost in the shuffle"! All in all, it think this can work for me if I put in the effort!
Yes Carole....as long as we have been married, I vacuum the floors and Jason washes them up! Now that my knees are replaced and can't kneel he has to do them. I do have a "Swiffer" that works in a pinch to get the worst of stuff but sometimes it needs the "get on your hands and knees and give it a good scrub"!
LOL Carole and Gabrielle....the DFs we are going to visit next weekend...you know the ones we have rescheduled because I had the stomach bug, then we had the storm, now finally will get together on the 15th...well, Deanie is a vegan and Joe is a vegetarian....needless to say, I'd offer to bring something but not even sure where to start! Deanie is making everything. We used to go out to eat with them and they ate anything and everything....it definitely puts a whole new wrinkle into dining out. Yes, many restaurants have vegan/vegetarian/GF/Keto options but it's limited. Will be curious to see what we have. Will admit, I really hope it's not tofu....I really DO NOT like tofu!
Carole...I too love science but I was the biology, anatomy, chemistry kind of girl...astronomy, planets, etc....not so much!!
Yes Carole, I agree, people fail at WW too but the premise of WW is more about the healthier lifestyle and long term changes....not the fast weight loss and deprivation of many diet. Honestly I think WW is a life style change, not a diet....but you still have to work at maintaining that healthy lifestyle all your life. You don't have to deprive yourself of anything but you do have to plan for those "treats"....
Carole...funny you mention that your PCP said even thin people have back issue. Today at PF, Zack said he has a back issue so there are certain things he, as a trainer can not do....he did say that the stronger your core is and the strength training is the key to keeping the flare ups at bay!! Hey, you could ask Matt and Patti if you could sit in with the nutritionist....with all the family dinners/gatherings you have, you need to know how to cook to include foods/meals that Matt will be able to enjoy as well!
I think I will try the 30 minute circuit the next time I'm at PF...won't get there until Sunday or Monday...with Karen & Bobby arriving after lunch sometime tomorrow and Saturday will be full I won't get there. I know for me, I really had to "work" at Curves to keep my heart rate up and burning fat & calories...I did notice a lot of toning when I was there but not much weight loss but then I wasn't really working on the food aspect of the journey since at that point I was not really heavy. Zack told me today to "keep moving" in the stepping sections of the circuit. There are also other options for the cardio slots but for now I will do the step....
LOL Carole...you are so me!! I can get to grazing if I don't have a real plan and someone to keep me accountable! OMG...are you kidding me that now Accounting is holding up your settlements. They were so worried about you getting them caught up and now they are holding you up!
Gotta go....Hannah is FaceTiming!

Oh dear I have really been struggling lately. It’s been a bit since I’ve been her but I have just been tired when I get home and end up falling asleep on the couch shortly after I get home and then I get up and go in to bed. Figured I better stop in and at least say hi!!!! I’m still here and still struggling as usual. I have had a couple ppl say I look like I’ve lost but I truly have NOT lost anything. Hopefully I will get my head back in the game soon!!!!
Carole yay for getting your water in. I noticed lips are getting super dry so I am NOT getting hardly any water in. Not drinking pop just not drinking water either.
Christine everyone should know by now to never question you!!!! You definitely know what your talking about.
Sue I saw your going to PF. How was it? I had to skip my Monday WO but did make it yesterday. Need to do better.
Lisa no snow here. We had a chance for 1-3 but it went south of us. Oklahoma City got quite a bit.
Sue sorry you had to cut your WO short. Hope you are able to do the circuit next time. I know you will enjoy making time in the gym.
Well stress level at work has been up there lately. One of my managers lost her husband last week. He’s been sick for a while and just couldn’t fight it anymore. They had separated over a month ago I know she is struggling with that decision. She had a good reason for her separating with him and I hope she doesn’t beat herself up about it.
Venders have been another issue at work. Either they won’t show up because we are sooooo far away and they can’t fThem driving out to NW Oklahoma or I can’t get them to leave enough product in my store and my boss is so tired of all the excuses. I tried my best to deal with one of them today but the vendor didn’t like what I had to say and wanted to talk to my boss so I called him in and boss told the vendor the same thing I was telling him. Boy was the boss mad at him. It was kinda funny actually seeing the boss light into the vendor. Not sure he got through to him but at least it’s not just me the vendor wasn’t listening to.
Time to sign off for tonight. Hope To be back tomorrow if I can stay awake after work.
