T.G.I.F! Yes, I am so ready for the weekend! It will be another "busy" one, but at least it's not work! Tomorrow, I don't have to set an alarm - Eden will be sleeping over, then Tracy will bring Zoë in the morning!
I think I have started sleeping "better"... not "great" but better... I think. We'll see!
Yesterday was a long day... Debbie called out sick... Accounting posted so I could catch up GLs and Settlement... almost there... Kaitlin is out today... it is what it is! I had forgotten that I was asked to babysit last night - thankfully I remembered "in time", so I sat with Eden for an hour and a half while Tim was at work and Jaclyn had a church meeting. Jaclyn has a BIG church Ladie's retreat this weekend - tonight and tomorrow - so Eden will be here overnight tonight! ♥
I think pizza will be on the menu tonight - so I will also have a nice salad, to limit my pizza! LOL
Tomorrow will be straightening up around here... and finding time to shop for food for Sunday!
Let me refill my coffee and be back to catch up ♥

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
Next week will be a short week for me at work, I hope. I have 3, count that again, 3!! side contract jobs for February. When it rains it pours. I hope to take OFF Friday from work-work to travel to God's country in PA rural areas, and our school is OFF for Monday President's Day. Next week. I feel lighter already with most of the computer testing behind me.
AND the new prescription, Amoxicillin finally kicked in and I feel SO much better already. YAY!
Slept well - totally beat when I got home but I stopped a picked up Subway for my own dinner. I knew DD23 was working with an adult client at 5:00 and DH worked late Thursday nights. So I thoroughly enjoyed my quiet house home alone for a few hours -
Tracked my day. Ended up taking extra Oatmeal with blueberries for my lunch yesterday as my tummy was feeling OFF all morning. By mid-day at work I was 'starving' which was when I knew I was finally on the mend. Had my lunch oatmeal (mixed Greek yogurt and blueberries on top of it after reheating the oatmeal) and some apple slices. Kept refilling my Brita water and kept a good walking pace through the building. All good. Ended up staying late as usual for Work but it was all good.

I Tracked my day. Making a breakfast fritita and will take the other half for lunch. I did buy a foot-long sub (oven roasted chicken on whole wheat) thinking I'll take the other half to lunch to day but then it's our usual Pizza tonight, so I'll share the sub with Carly - she can take it for her lunch today. Saves me SmartPoints Calling for SNOW - thanks Lisa! for sending it our way. Want to get a move on early for traffic...have a FANTASTIC FRIDAY everyone!

Christine: So sorry this bug has not gone away yet! Oy Vey... Well, YAY to no more after school care - but GEEZE Louise... I sometimes wonder where these "deans of students" got their "Credentials" I guess we know the Prince ignored calls knowing YOU were there to try to handle it for him! UGH.... THAT MAN!
Woo Hoo for the extra steps in your days!!
Eh, the PC party isn't doing as well as the consultant would like! LOL I don't really care... of course I love FREE stuff... but if folks don't want/need or can't afford to get anything - so be it! He insisted I end out the PM - I chose to do a "group" WHO has time to send a PM to 15 people! Surely not me! I told him it is what it is...
We had the snow - and it was topped with a glaze of ice... they didn't clean the roads well at ALL - I assume they were leaving it there to avoid the ice? Anyway, it pretty much stopped for the day. It was raining - and hovering between 32-34 degrees when I came home last night - but looking out now it seems to be nothing out there... it is only 33 now, so it could be sketchy for a while... but hey we didn't get the 24-36 hours of stuff they had predicted! I'm OK with that!
Sue: Aww, sorry Sarah is still feeling poorly... but yes... it will take "time"... OH yes, that reminds me I have to schedule my colonoscopy/upper endoscopy too! Sorry to hear about the co-worker... 58... so young!
Lisa: Enjoy your time at home while you can... any projects to get started on while you wait for the phone to ring???
Sue: YAY You did it! Maybe I should join just for the massage I keep hearing about! LOL Good for you - signing up for classes and learning the machines... hope you enjoy it and get feeling healthier!! For me it is not so much better numbers - my labs are all GOOD... for me I need to TONE and Strengthen my muscles...so I can feel better... but sorry ladies - I DO want to LOOK better too! Tired of feeling fat and frumpy!! I am glad Jaclyn's "family" is coming too... it will be awkward - but hey, we gotta get through the first one sometime right? May as well be for Eden's party!!
LOL Accounting NEVER "posts" first of the month stuff until they close month end... It was closed yesterday - so I am only "behind" the 1 at this point... I Have gotten into the habit of filling in what I can of my spreadsheet from the reports, then "tweak" it when Accounting posts the GL Balance... it's still a learning process of how to get it done daily... but first of the month will always be this way. I think as long as I get the main spreadsheet filled in with what I have in front of me - the tweaking won't derail me too long. I got 2 done yesterday afternoon - AND I got my Accounting Month End Report filed... I feel good - considering Debbie was out yesterday as well!
Shelly: You poor thing! I get the tired after work... I think part of it (for me) is the weather. Guess your WOs are "working"... LOL Getting toned - looking like you have lost... remember it's not ALL about the number... it's about the healthier side of it - as well as HOW.YOU.FEEL. Sorry about the tiredness - that too will change as you go!
LOL My water intake varies day-to-day! UGH! Yesterday I was only at like 80, but today I already have 22 oz so it should be a good water day for me!
Sorry for your manager's loss... oh I imagine she will go through a LOT of second guessing what she did and why she did it! OMGosh - gotta love when they want to talk with the boss... like you don't know WTH you are talking about! UGH! MEN!!
Hang in there GF... winter is almost over, maybe people's moods will shift with the weather? I hope mine does!

Mornin' Christine - YES HAPPY FRIDAY!
Have to LOL at what you call a short week! I mean... ummmm.... three contract jobs??
Woo Hoo for feeling better too!! Hoping for nice weather as you travel to Go's Country next week! I was in Subway to grab supper last night too - but then got the text that Jaclyn had to be AT her meeting at 6... not me babysit at 6... so had to walk out - long line... wasn't really hungry anyway - I guess, as I was NOT "Starving" when I got home! Hmm, so I actually didn't eat dinner - and lived to tell the tale!
Yup - we too are expecting rain pretty much all day, potential T-Storms today too... turning to snow later tonight... UGH, I am so ready for spring!!
OK Gotta get moving... not sure what's for lunch, but probably a salad, if I make time to throw one together - otherwise I will order one out today!
Wear RED for Women's Heart Health Awareness today... change of plans on my outfit! LOL
♥hugs♥

Morning Carole, Christine and all to come...don't need to pack a lunch this morning so have a few extra minutes today to catch up...will likely no be back tonight as Karen and Bobby arrive after lunch!! Not sure what time they are leaving CT but I expect them somewhere between 2-4pm. Will come home, strip and remake the spare bed for them, then do up the dishes....nothing major, just a few last minute chores that want finished before they arrive.
Lisa...you can keep the snow...I don't need or want it!! Yesterday we got 2-3 inches of rain which would have BURIED us if it were snow....thankfully the temps were high enough for just rain...same today....western counties in area will be getting snow this morning but as it moves NE across the state it will shift above us for the most part and we will only have more torrential rains. Thankfully it should be out of the area by noon or so but will be leaving behind sustained winds in the 20-25 mph range!! Fingers crossed the phone rings with another temp job!!
Shelly...so happy to see you back with us! Sometimes your body tells you you need sleep more than you need to chat with us! I'm sure your work outs are toning your body and you will look thinner. Keep up the good work with those WO....hoping to follow in your foot steps and getting to the gym. I did enjoy PF...it's busy when I get there but there is still plenty of equipment to use so I don't think it will ever be an issue to get something to do....besides, the circuit itself can be 20 people....yesterday there was only 4 people doing it so it's all good! How far are you from Oklahoma City...I saw on the news they really got hit yesterday with snow...parts of TX too that never get snow!!
I'm sure your co-worker will struggle a bit with the separation and then death of her husband but if you say she had reason to leave then hopefully in time she will see it was the right thing to do and not carry any guilt about it.... LOL, glad the boss had your back with the vendor!! I know we have some vendors at work that are "iffy" but when you like in areas way outside cities you are often limited with what you can get!
Yes Carole...TGIF!! I'm ready for a weekend and an extra long weekend, even if it is only a 1/2 day today!! YAY for being able to sleep in a bit tomorrow!! Hey, "better sleep" is better than nothing....fingers crossed it continues to improve! Bummer for the long day at work yesterday but sounds like you made the best of it and got your work/settlements caught up....maybe not 100% but at least not slipping farther behind!!
Christine...isn't it crazy how the contract jobs are "feast or famine"...hope you can get Friday off next week and enjoy a nice long weekend and get some contract work done! Glad the testing is winding down and you are feeling in control!! WOO HOO....don't the happy dance that the Amoxicillin is FINALLY kicking in!! Sounds like you have a perfect food plan for today and sharing the sub with Carly. Not sure what I will have for lunch....might stop for something on the way home or just eat when I get here. Tonight we are going to Blue Koi for dinner....I'm excited because K&B love sushi so hopefully we will have some and I can find some I like....I always have the Sizzling Salmon when I go there but would be nice to try sushi again but not sure what to try!
Carole...wish I could help you out with your PC party but I don't have space for anything more in my kitchen. As it is, Jason lugged a couple of boxes of miscellaneous PC stuff to the basement over the weekend to get them out of the middle bedroom....if I need something in there I can go get it but for now, most of it I don't use because then I need to find a "home for it"!
Time to get this day started....will pop in later if I can...depends on K&B arrival! Have a great Friday!

Good morning---Friday at last!! Wow, busy week but it is all good--a lot is packed into next week so I managed to prep for two meetings that I am running and will finish up my presentation for a Tuesday leadership meeting this weekend. Feeling much more on top of things since I have had time in the office. DOR for me today--yesterday was my run on the TM/go to class at the gym morning so I am unable to get on here. Early start and leave by 4:45 am to get to the gym. We had a sub leader and I LOVED the guy! He was so entertaining--great music (from the 80's)...it was a great class. I like our regular instructor too, but will look for classes that this fellow offers on other days.
Carole: Happy Friday and yay for a sleepover with Eden tonight! How great that Jaclyn's dad and brothers are coming on Sunday! I didn't know that Jaclyn was bilingual....what a great thing if Eden can learn Spanish! My nephew is bilingual and it is such a gift. I placed my PC order this morning before coming on here---sorry that he isn't happy but sales are a volatile gig! I appreciated the invite and will use the things I ordered (I missed out on the last two PC parties I was invited to--too busy). Yes, it would be nice if they gave Matt a date for surgery--even if it was late March or something so that he had it in his mind. Hopefully it will happen soon. Good job doing the salad bar on Sunday--it sounds like it is going to be a nice day for you...and maybe you will have a lunch for Monday out of it all. A win-win! Hope that today is a good day for you.

Christine: So glad to hear that the amoxicillin is kicking in and it sounds like the tummy is a bit more settled? Isn't it great to be in the place where, even though you don't have a pre-planned day, you have enough "go-to" items that you can figure it out? So glad to hear that the bus service is working out at long last! Yes, sounds like a bit of training might be needed in terms of Sp Ed law. I think that it might be eye-opening and, perhaps, provide a different approach to how to deal with kids. We even had to train our van drivers about how to help kids de-escalate, etc. Your questions are good ones to get them thinking! How nice to have that time to yourself the other night! Isn't it great to come home to an empty house? I never tire of it! Of course, always glad to see DH, but sometimes it is good to have a break. Wow, good job on the increased steps! So the shoes are still helping alot? Can you ride your bike (if you want to)? Hope that today is a good day and you have a good week---that is a lot of contract jobs that you have but, come March, it'll be worth it
Sue: So glad to hear about your great experience at PF--and Zack sounds like a great trainer too! Sounds like it can fit with your life. I was reminded again, reading an article, about how muscle burns calories. If we have more muscle, we can either eat more to maintain, or we can take advantage of the fact that it will help our metabolism. Another good reason (aside from cardiovascular benefits, mental health, etc) to find a way to get exercise in. Sounds like it will be a fun visit with Karen and Bobby--enjoy! It's taken a while to get it arranged, hasn't it? So glad to hear that Sarah is feeling better! Yes, sounds like being home is paying off. I was thinking that she did some at-home child care for other people? Is she not doing that anymore? Wow, you are going to dinner with a vegetarian and a vegan??? I am with you...no tofu for me! Last night DH admitted it was hard. I told him that he had been vegan long enough to get some things out of his system and, if he wanted to, maybe he could add something in for a week to see if he felt better or worse or whatever. We will see. He is VERY caught up in the whole "be super thin" to run well thing. It is kind of irritating actually how much he talks about weight with some of his other running people...he weighs under 150 lbs now. I told him that, if he doesn't have enough weight on him to be strong for these 24 hour runs (because he can't possibly eat enough to stay "caught up") then that is a problem in and of itself. I give up on that one. At some point it might weight less than I do! Hope that you have a good day and I KNOW you will have a wonderful weekend!

Jenny: It sounds like your job is going really well! Wonderful to hear! I was wondering the same thing as Carole--I wonder if they will pay you mileage? It adds up! It is amazing how motivating it can be seeing someone your close to going through health issues. As I get older, I see more of it too so there are a lot of reminders! Whatever the motivation, it will be good for both of you and Audrey will win too--she wants her mom and dad around as long as possible! I hope that your sleep improves. I don't drink wine often, but my sister (in year 2 of no alcohol) has said that she is still amazed at how much better she sleeps. She wasn't drinking any alcohol though so not sure what the formula is. I wonder when they will allow Kerry to go to PF with you? Not sure how long that takes. Thanks for asking, DS20 is doing fine but rethinking being so far from home....he might be transferring back to CA and is exploring it right now. Eugene has been a great place for him though and he has liked it there. Have a great day!
Shelly: Wow, sounds like work has been rough! Glad that you can stick with your workouts--hope that it helps offset some of the stress for you. It's good that your boss can experience the frustration of working with vendors who are not "service-oriented". You give me new appreciation for smaller markets that are well-stocked---what a challenge! When is it that you are visiting the kids again? I remember you bought a plane ticket, but can't remember when it is....
Lisa: Hey, wondering if there is somewhere that you can volunteer during the day? Something you might really like to do? It would still work around possible jobs and you can meet other people and get out? Just a thought!
Okay, time to get moving...have a good day ladies!

Happy Friday all
Well Kerry and I are looking into going plant based diet. He watched the Netflix documentary "Forks over Knives", it's all about how 2 DR's in the late 70's and 80's researched all plant based foods and did experiments on people that had cancer, inflammation/arthritis, high blood pressure along with cholesterol and all these ailments we get as we get older. They had 2 groups, one ate a regular meals with meat and vegi's and the other only did plant based like whole wheat pasta, flour, nuts, avocado, anything that comes from the ground or grows on tree's. I said OK I'll try it a couple times a week, because with my digestion problems and stomach problems, I can't eat all these plants because that what bloats me up and hurts my tummy so I'm going to have to eat a little meat like chicken and fish. I was looking on the web site of the F over K and they have a lot of cookbooks so I ordered two, now we can have some nights with meat and some without. They even have a recipe for pizza dough all from scratch like our Grandma's used to use but with out all the sodium in it. I'm excited to try it.
I just got my schedule for next week and it looks like fun to learn some new stuff, they do not pay for gas or mileage on my car but it takes me 20 min to get to my home base work and all the other plants are around 30 to 35 minutes from where I live so it's not to bad. It seems in this company, none of the dispatchers get company cars to drive if they aren't at their home base, just the men superintendent's only get company vehicles to drive , what ever, with Kerry being retired now I can switch car's out and take his pickup on somedays so all the mileage won't be put on just one sole car, he can't drive anyways intel middle March, so it's all good.
OK need to run I have to make an appt for Audrey for another MRI to make sure the spot on her pituitary hasn't grown in the last year for her thirst problem she has, on a good note I checked my insurance after Kerry's surgery and WE HAVE MET OUR DEDUCTIBLE FOR THE YEAR AND IT'S ONLY JANUARY YEAH! Have a great day everyone

Afternoon all...got all my tasks done, even set up the coffee pot for morning. I use my Keurig when it's just me but with 3 coffee drinkers I'll make a whole pot in the morning!! Bed stripped and remade...dishwasher emptied, reloaded and running...dishes that didn't fit are washed and in the drainer....cleaned the toilet one last time! Made reservations at Blue Koi on my way home from work, stopped and picked up a bottle of wine to bring along as it's a BYOB place. Got the one that Todd had given me for Christmas...I think they will like it!
Carole...the Hydro Massage is awesome....it feels like a rolling wave that goes from head to toe and back again...you can adjust the speed it goes and the pressure.....it felt so good on my back.....you can even adjust to focus on one spot if you want but I loved the whole body massage....it doesn't last long but it's a nice end to a work out. I can register for a time slot when I come in and then when I'm done my work out I just head to the desk to see which one I'm in...they have two massage machines....heaven! Honestly my numbers aren't bad either but they could be better. I know that the exercise won't hurt! Toning and strengthening is my main goal!
Yes Carole...my reports have to wait for the billers to finish and then the finance/accounting department can finish their stuff...then I can really get started. Some stuff I can do when the billers are finished but the bulk of my reports are done after accounting is finished. The billers were hoping to finish today so I should be able to get some stuff done on Monday.....fingers crossed! Now that you are caught up with the ATM settlement, you figure out a plan to get it done every day once accounting closes that is!
Gabrielle...glad you survived the week! Hopefully you won't need to do too much work work over the weekend to prep for all your meetings/presentations next week. Glad you enjoyed the sub for your class....that's not always the case!! Hopefully you can find another fun class he teaches!! Yes, I'm hoping that as I gain back some muscle my metabolism might "kick it up a notch"! As I said, it's not about the # on the scale any more...I have been maintaining in the low to mid 160's for about 18 months now, it's frustrating but I just want to look and feel more toned and strong at this weight....heck, if I lose a few pounds, great but if not joining was not a waste!
LOL...yes, it has taken a while to get together with K&B but the friends you are thinking of are like the vegan/vegetarian couple...we were to get together 1/4....then 1/18....finally agreed on 2/15....she said the friends that they were getting together with on 2/1 cancelled and offered that day but Jason had already arranged for the plumber to come and with the chaos of Sarah in the hospital we would have cancelled again....guess I'm glad we stayed with the 15th....now fingers crossed nothing comes up between now and next weekend! We always head up to CT each year over Labor to visit K&B and they have been coming down to visit off and on since last September but every time we had a weekend picked, something came up and we had to cancel....so glad it is finally happening....looking forward to just relaxing. Their visit is very short, just tonight and tomorrow since they have to pick up Cooper but will still be nice.
Yes, Sarah does still watch kids during the day....thankfully last week the one was in WDW for the week and the other was sick and his DM stayed home....Sarah cancelled all of them for this week just to take care of herself. She should have them back next Monday. She is feeling better each day but it's a slow recovery!
HOLY MOLEY....didn't realize Ed was so thin!! I would think that on the long races it would be hard to maintain enough nutrition to finish! Curious why he feels runners have to be thin??? I think I would worry about him!! Jason is thin but he eats very well and just is so active he burns it off but he's not obsessed with staying thin.
Jenny...sounds like your version of a plant based diet is very workable. That is actually kind of what we eat at our house....we eat tons of F/V and not much meat but the meat we eat is mostly chicken, fish, pork loin and very little beef. Please share any good recipes you get!! We do have many "meatless" meals too! Sounds like you are going to enjoy the roving opportunities at work...glad none of the plants are too far from home. Fingers crossed you get good news about the spot on Audrey's pituitary and you don't have to wait too long for an appointment. YAY for meeting your deductible already. I did that too when I had my TKR in February...all my PT was covered 100%....it was great!
Just got word K&B are in a band of snow...hopefully it won't last too long...it's actually sunny here. Will need to check the weather map and see....
Will pop in when I can....waves to all!
