Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Heading to work soon. Snow wasn’t as bad as they predicted. Was plowed out early afternoon. Snow was still falling so I figured another plow in the evening, but not long after it stopped. About 8 last night I decided to go out and shovel whatever snow fell. For the most part it was only about an inch. I shoveled in front of the house, cleared my steps, put down ice melt and got in a bit of exercise to boot.
I will definitely send a pic when I organize my cupboards. Changed my mind and worked in basement yesterday. I had laundry to do, still have another load to do after work.
Bbl ...
Enjoy your day

Joyce, I agree with Ruth, we would love to see a picture when you are finished with the project. I usually don’t mind clearing a little snow but hate the big piles at the end of the driveway. Laundry never stops here either.
Ruth, we actually never rented in Florida. We stayed with our friend/neighbor 4 times before we decided to buy. One of the big factors in buying was that due to the fact the economy was so bad in 2008 the price of the condos dropped dramatically. We could not have afforded the price our friend paid but could afford the dropped price. We bought our place in 2009 and rented it out for 3 years before we retired. Hope Harper has a good swim meet and that Mara didn’t have her usual early morning problem in the car.
Tonight is our Woodstock party, it is a great group of people so should be a lot of fun. Last night was dinner and cards, this is the first time this season that all 4 couples were together. Next week will be a busy week with activities. We feel very fortunate that we have made so many great friends here. I’m almost finished with my expense report – I plan on mailing it on Monday. There was someone on the other WW board who was always behind in her expense account, I figure this is my money so don’t want to waste too much time.

Good afternoon all. Woke to 2 degrees!! Only going to 18 at 5 pm. We were up and out early going to the swim meet. Harper did ok. Got 3rd in her heat in the 50 free. She did her first ever 50 butterfly in a relay this morning. She did ok in it. We have to remember she’s only 9 and swimming in the 10 and under age group against some almost 11 year olds. And she was just 9 in Sept. Tomorrow she will swim a 200 freestyle and a 500 freestyle. Depending on how much snow and when it comes we’ll see about going to watch. We got Mara up early and I gave her milk and then sat in back with her with a small blanket ready to catch any that came back up. She did ok thankfully. She did really well for the first 2-1/2 hrs and then was headed toward a melt down the last half hour. Stan took her out to the lobby between Harper’s 2nd & 3rd events and Heather changed her diaper and let her run around for a while. Gave Stan a break. Got her home and fed her lunch and now she’s up napping - and quiet so I’m hoping she’s sleeping. We’ll all be happier if she does!
I just put in a load of laundry. Looks like I have 3 to do. And I want to get a little more done downstairs too. I got the pile of capris put in a bin in our closet and will put those down on a shelf. I’ll label the bin. I’m trying to get the clothes all into bins with sizes on them so that I can then photograph and get them listed.
My kitchen cabinets can sure use some work too. You inspire me to get going on them.
Dottie, hope the weather is nicer for you in FL than it would be at home. The east coast really got hit by the looks on the news.
ok, need to get moving. Sounds like Mara is asleep so I better get going while she’s down. Have a good Saturday night all.
EDIT: Dottie, you posted while I was typing! It’s Ann, in Houston who was always so far behind in her expense reports. She’s doing a little better because she hired an assistant to help her with that kind of thing. She has left the big investment company she was with, and now she’s with an independent group and sort of freelancing. Keeping most of her clients tho. Her husband has been diagnosed as diabetic and he’s trying to bring his numbers down with diet only for now; but has terrible neuropathy in his feet (maybe hands too). And Ann fell in the mud a few months ago and broke her shoulder. She’s had an awful time.

Good morning,
Big snowflakes falling, it looks so nice. I was already outside, shoveling up the inch of snow we got overnight. Actually I’m mostly walking with the push shovel in front of me. Very light stuff that I just pushed you the sides. Can you tell I miss walking outside, this is a nice substitute. I walked almost a mile, just back and forth in my drive.
Work was good yesterday. New girl has caught on to everything. She’s now working back office, has the vehicle entry down. And she helped me a few times, gave me a few minutes to walk around the dealership. I got 10000 steps in yesterday, haven’t done that in a while. Working on getting my 8000 step goal every day.
I plan on going to the Y this afternoon. Then grocery shopping. I need to pick up a few things, 3 bean chili will cook in the crockpot overnight for the week.
See ya later

Joyce, I’m so happy to hear that the new girl is working out so well. Also nice for you to get the short breaks, good to get up and move for a few minutes. Enjoy your chili.
Ruth, it has been a cold winter for you. They have had some snow and cold where DS#2 lives and where we live but nothing like you have had. In fact there have been many afternoons above freezing – that is always a nice break during winter. It sounds like Harper is going to be a good swimmer as she grows and gets stronger. Nice that DD could help a little with Mara, corralling a 2 year old can be difficult and tiring.
The Woodstock party was a lot of fun. There were 7 couples, our places are small, so even with those people the condos get crowded. Some people went all out with their outfits. They were more “hippie” than Woodstock but great outfits. I need to spend some time cleaning up the condo but Bill is in the process of replacing the vanity in the master bath and things are quite messy. Hopefully he will be finished tomorrow because we are scheduled to have the vanity top installed on Tuesday and then I can do some clean up.
