Good COLD morning - only 15 degrees here this morning! Not a day for the kids being outside today I'm afraid... except for some hot tub time - maybe!
People should start arriving around noon - so I need to get moving! My day was upended yesterday, with the reminder of the Friend's of Fairgrounds Annual meeting this morning! UGH! Got my report done - not up to my usual standards, but it is what it is! Then Timothy arrived - and brought stuff for today's party... and then he and Eden Stayed.All.Afternoon.! I really DO enjoy time with him - without "everyone" but I let it take me away from some of my chores - leaving them for this morning! EEK!
Will take time for another cup of coffee (or two) and catch up a bit here - then let the day begin!
Sue: YAY for having your friends in from MA! Oh and a short workday too! WOO HOO!! We are looking at a messy start to the work week here! UGH! I am supposed to drop my car off tomorrow for service - if it is too messy, I will let them give me a ride up to work! Otherwise I will get my steps in for the day!
NOW I can say I am 100% "caught up" at work - even with Debbie and Kaitlin out those two days last week! YAY! m It was actually a slow sort of day - so was able to stay on top of everyone's stuff pretty much too!
LOL No worries - I too have more PC stuff than I know what to do with! I need to reorganize my back room of kitchen stuff... but I also want to dispose of some of my older NOT PC Tools too!
Gabrielle: Glad you are feeling on top of things this week! It IS such a good feeling isn't it?? Umm, well, bilingual might be a stretch - I think she can "get us through" tough spots... but yes Eden actually could speak some Spanish before the English words! NOW she is into "French"...

WE HAVE A SURGERY DATE.... MONDAY MARCH 2! He has to be there at 5:30 AM... for 8:00 AM Surgery. I am not sure what my plans will be - other than to be there on that Monday for surgery. My original plan was to stay in Boston 2 nights, to be there to see him Tuesday following surgery - but Ken may not be able to have Tuesday off - so we may have to come home Monday... not sure!

Oh Gabrielle: How worrisome that Ed is so concerned about being "thinner" to run! Good luck with that!
YAY I think it would be great if DS20 can come "home" to complete his studies! Yes being away from home was good for him - but now that he has that experience, maybe learning closer to home will be better for him? Hope he can find a comparable school/courses to be able to continue - in CA!
Jenny: Oh Dear... Sounds like you will have a challenge on your hands! I applaud you (and Gabrielle) for giving it your best shot with what your DHs want... {{{hugs}}} I know you want to do what's best for him. m
Oh yeah, IF I have to go to another branch, I (only) get mileage FROM my "main" branch, so if I have to go to the more local branch I wouldn't get anything.
YAY for meeting the deductible... always good to know the rest of the year is COVERED!!
Sue: WOW What a productive day for you Friday! WHEW!! LOL A local woman here "shares" her visits to PF on FB, showing us the massage chair and all!
Yes, I am "making" time each morning to fill in the spreadsheet as much as I can - with the reports on hand. "Balancing" days are tougher - but I am getting a handle on what to "Carry" and what to "Clear" - then I plug in the accounting GL Balance and if I match - WOO HOO - If I don't, I can search. But, with my sheet filled in right after I print the reports - and they post the GLs around noon each day (except 1st of month through 5th usually) I can get it done - and DAMN it feels GOOD!

Catching up on yesterday - while Ken gets some produce chopped for today!
Christine: YAY for having Linds home, even for a quick trip! Hoping your memorial luncheon went well {{{hugs}}} GOOD for YOU with the planning and eating zero point foods to be ready for the "pricey" lunch! I did lean pork chops, potatoes and broccoli stir fry veggies for dinner! YAY ! All ZERO POINTS!
AWESOME! Getting out to walk with Colby!! Glad you took it slow, and yes, as the weather clears you and she will be ready to hit the road each day! So glad that teacher has the knowledge and SHARED with the Prince... maybe if it's more than just YOU sharing news he will begin to see??
LOL Yes, actually slept in both these days... hoping I don't regret it later! (like not being ready for company). I DID get my water on Friday - yesterday, not so much.
WOO HOO for receiving "charms" for losing the 10#! THank you 0 yes, I know... I tell myself this all the time - I CAN DO THIS... so WHY DON'T I?? I did get over 8k steps yesterday - no E or bike but just DOING what needs to be done around here! Oh speaking of that - I have to go get my Fitbit... left it in my robe pocket last night - was all in bed and realized I didn't have it! I did NOT come all the way back downstairs to get it... sleeping a night without it was good for me! LOL Slept better last night than I have in a while!! (I think?)
OY Vey... good luck with DH and his laundry... some things never change! Grrr, MEN!
Gabrielle: Hope the Crab Feed went well for you and DH last night... guessing there was salad and other stuff he could enjoy? Ahh, I NEED to schedule a mani pedi someday soon! GOing to try the newer local place (again) - I am told it has improved since I was there when it first opened!
Sue: How nice - glad your friends enjoyed the restaurant. Yeah, umm, no... I'm with Christine - no sushi for me!
Hmm, I went to the State RMV site to get a complete list of what I needed. I had my birth certificate, and of course my Marriage certificate. Had to PROVE why my name on my current license was different from my birth certificate! UGH That's what made me angry... I had to have shown that 42 years ago WHEN I CHANGED MY NAME... but they needed it again! Not a huge deal - but just rubbed me the wrong way! Then I needed my current license and I brought my jury summons as proof of address! Figured if the state found me for jury duty it would serve as "proof" of address! What a farce though... too many hoops to jump through for a crazy ID!
I had planned on my passport too but I never did renew it! You should be fine with what you have - but the website would give you a complete list!
HA! I set my goal to sleep for 7 hours too... very RARELY do I get there! I somedays feel like I slept better than Fitbit registers... so I don't put a lot of stock in the data!

OK Time to get moving for real here... Ken has to leave in about an hour for the meeting - Tracy is still in bed... I have to finish yup the dining room table, so Ken can help me extend it before he leaves! Then I have to deal with laundry (drying in the back room) and the bathrooms and get my dishes done! Tim doesn't want it ALL lumped on "me"... while Ken and Tracy do help out - A LOT - I will leave some of the food prep for Tim to help - and Jaclyn is in charge of decorating when they get here!
By then I am sure my sisters will be here "pacing" while waiting... I will remind them they do not get out of church until noon - which is when my sisters usually arrive to "wait"! You'd think while they are here waiting they would jump in and help get things put out - but alas, they do not... oh well, such is my lot in life I guess!
Will try to CBL but most likely will be tomorrow! ♥hugs♥

Good morning!
Heading to my WW meeting in about 30 min and then meeting DS25 for breakfast. He is up here being trained to volunteer at the local hospital--I am proud because he has decided to volunteer and get the "feel" of each department (emergency, ICU, labor/delivery, etc.) and then decide what he wants to do next in terms of a career move down the road. He and I spoke a few months ago about it---I volunteered in a high school math class for a few months before deciding to pursue a credential so I shared the story with him...it's nice when our kids think that we have good advice I would love for DS20 to do something similar...will see if I can pull that one off! DH is leaving for AZ (driving) on Wed am and I fly out on Thursday afternoon so not a ton of meals to plan for this week. DS25 will be here with the dogs (in the evenings/mornings) so I will see what he might like to have on hand.
Carole: Have a great day today! You know, you had me thinking about getting sleep vs. forcing yourself to get up early to get things done and losing some precious sleep time. It's kind of a "catch 22" for me...if I don't get enough sleep, I might get more done around the house, but I am anxious and less patient and don't enjoy things as much as a result. If I get more rest, the "not being ready completely" doesn't bother me so much and I think I enjoy it more. What do you find about yourself? It really is great that Tim wanted to stay there with you, but I get the anxiety about not having things done---it's tough! Yay for being caught up at work! I don't think I will EVER be completely caught up, but it is like that in admin in education and I have lived with it for 20 years so I am used to it. Your dinner sounds like it was great---yay for zero points too! I think that purple is right up your alley. Enjoy your day today...so amazing how fast time is flying!

Morning Carole and all to come...
Slept in a bit this morning....never did finish up my BJ's list so need to do it before I leave. Plan to leave by noon...enjoying a lazy morning here still in my pj's drinking cup #2 of coffee!! I've already paid some bills, booked rooms for Sarah & Josh for a baseball tournament in June....the rooms they have blocked for teams are over $200/night since it's later June near Bethany Beach in DE.....I was able to get them rooms for $124.....saved them a good bit of $$. Brought up some Premier Protein shakes to bring as a snack before heading to PF....I used to drink one before heading to the pool and it really help with keeping me from munching mindlessly when I first got home after a w/o....my gym bag is packed so I'm ready to got solo tomorrow then do the core class on Tuesday!!
Carole...thanks for starting us off today....thankfully it's about 35° here and supposed to be in the mid-40's by afternoon! The winds have also died down....they were crazy the last two days! I'm sure despite the interruptions yesterday and the need to get your report done quickly you will be more than ready for guest to arrive at noon! Bummer the work week weather is not going to cooperate...would be nice to start you day with an nice walk into work but I don't blame....if the weather is yucky, let them drive you!
WOO HOO for being caught up at work...that is always a good feeling for sure!! I did check my work email this morning to see if I can print out the reports for the month...good news, billers did finish on Friday and I can at least get the 1st batch of reports out....this means I should have the remainder of my stuff by mid-week!! It's a great idea to get the spreadsheet started so you just have to all the GL info later....sounds like you have, aside from the beginning of the month figured a way to get it done daily for the most part!!
I'm so excited Matt has a surgery date and it's really not too far away. Does he need to do any pre-admission preps...I know when Jessica had her bariatric surgery she was on full liquid diet for a couple weeks before hand to make sure the stomach was totally empty. I was shocked at the prep she had to do!! I know you'll figure out a schedule that works best. I forget, how long will Matt be in the hospital??

Sue: Oh my gosh....Cooper is so darned cute! I remember now that they were visiting that same breeder. Are you SURE you don't want to take on a dog? You look like a natural and the grandkids would love it! If the dog is the right size (but not too small) you can take him/her everywhere with you when you travel too.....just a thought! Hope that the weather is cooperating for K and B to return home safely and without too much trouble. Also hope that Sarah is following through with her rest--it would be especially hard when you start feeling so much better.
Hello to Christine, Jenny, Lisa, Shelly, and all who follow. Hope that your day is a good one. I need to look presentable for breakfast with DS25 so need to get a move on here. I am not sure if I will be checking back, but hope that you all have a good start to the week as well.

WOW Carole....nice dinner for 0 points!! I know you can make this work even on days like today when the food options are not exactly OP!!
Carole...looks like the requirements for the Real ID is the same, guess it's a federal thing...I need to renew my passport now so I have it back before July when I need to get my license renewed. I have everything you mentioned, just need to find some proof of address things...so many things come online via email but I guess I could print out the invoices, even though they were emailed, the format is still the same as "snail mail" right??
Glad Tim and Jaclyn will be helping out with the prep and decorating. Can't believe your sisters get there and just "wait" without at least asking if there is something they can help with! I would be so frustrated with that....I applaud you for holding your tongue.....not sure I'd be that nice!
Gabrielle...how nice you get to have breakfast today with DS after you meeting. I'm sure it is reassuring that you did a great job with the boys when you see them finding value in things you did in your career path and they follow in those footsteps! Proud Mama moment. I'm sure Max will too....just give him a few years to catch up to Tyler's wisdom....wisdom truly does come with age and experience most times!
OK...think I will enjoy some leftover buttermilk pancakes and sausage from yesterday for breakfast or brunch now at this time before I leave for BJ's....it really was yummy and nice treat...I usually send the leftover pancakes home with Sarah since that is when we usually have them for family gatherings but I know K&B love the sausage and only get it when they come here or when we bring them several packages for their freezer to enjoy later. Since Karen grew up here and Bobby outside of Philly, this is the breakfast sausage they had as kids and it's not the same anywhere else....
Will pop in later, think I'm going to check the hours at AAA to get passport pictures done and do that this week....get that task off my plate so I'm ready for my Real ID fiasco and hopefully will be prepared!

Good afternoon! Just finished cleaning the kitchen and mopping floor. Made the WW Mexican chicken, zucchini, black beans chili. It takes an hour mostly due to chopping up the onion and zucchini but worth it to have hot lunches to reheat! It’s a 1 point dish because of the olive oil used to brown the chicken...but very tasty!
Going to relax a bit before working on taxes again...almost done. Such a relief! We ended up canceling plans yesterday for our lunch due to unexpected heavy snow. DM was worried about us getting her as her area already had 10 inches with no end in sight! My younger brother went up to check on her and shovel her little area - he was actually the one to tell Mom ‘no way’ should we try getting her later. I believe him so she must have gotten more snow then rest of us. Lindsey waited for snow to let up before driving from school. She’ll stay here until Monday as she has no internship (her new supervisor is off on Mondays) and no class until 3:00. Plenty of time for other school work and errands. She is really enjoying her new assignment and seems happy how her final semester is planned out!
I’m feeling so much better since switching antibiotics- planning to take another walk later hopefully a bit longer than Fridays. Dinner tonight will be a rotisserie chicken and salad- DH opted for hot roast beef sandwich so he’ll make his own later 😊
Carole- hoping the Birthday party is a hit!! Let us know how the new family members do meeting everyone. Hooray for Matt’s surgery date!! Relieved he has that date to plan for and move forward!

Afternoon all....successful BJ's run....took advantage of the "High Octane" items which also had coupons....save $40 in coupons and $1.10/gallon of gas so I'm happy!!
My HB eggs are in the ice bath now so will peel when I'm done here so I have them for the week. Picked up yogurt, ground turkey, mozzarella sticks and a bunch of other healthy options. Now to decide what to bring for lunch tomorrow. Opting not to do much cooking this weekend end because we have a few leftovers, plus I'm joining work friends for dinner on Wednesday and Thursday we are eating at the Hanover Market food court before our couple's paint....
Jenny...safe travels today and good luck to Audrey and her other dance friends. How far is Salem to Corvallis?
Christine...yes, better to be safe than sorry with the weather yesterday!! Guess this time DM did not exaggerate the snowfall...I know she ALWAYS gets more than anyone else! LOL! Please share that WW chili recipe...sounds yummy!! My taxes are just about done but the last thing I need will not be available until 2/12 so I can finish next weekend! Will be glad to have that job off my plate! Glad Linds will hang out the rest of the day...extra visiting time for you. Glad she is enjoying her new assignment...still can't believe her college days are winding down....crazy how fast time has flown by! Glad the switch of antibiotics did the trick!! OK, what does Gary have against rotisserie chicken and salad....sounds yummy to me! Glad he's making his own hot RB sandwich.....you are not a short order cook! Enjoy your walk with Colby Girl....hope your weather is as nice as ours...it's beautiful outside today!!
Time to peel the eggs, load the dishwasher and finish up the kitchen. Laundry is well under way so I think a little relaxing is in my future now!
