Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Had a great Weigh-in yesterday, down -2.4. Since rejoining and attending workshops I have lost 12.8. It was slow when I started, losing one week gaining the next, but I’m hoping that since I’m moving more the losses will be more frequent. I still have a long way to go but I’m more confident now that I will reach my goal.
They moved the young man out of our office. He is now working with the internet sales team. He’ll be answering phones, making calls, and setting up appointments for the sales team. The new girl will learn to setup service appointments so she can handle them on Saturdays. While it’s a good move for us, it’s a week to soon. Next week the other cashier is on vacation. The 2 other office girls are going to be out of town for a wedding next Friday and Saturday. So I will be completely alone both of those days next week. I need to talk to my boss. If any new vehicles are delivered end of next week, they won’t get in the system and that’s not good at all. Funny how no one thinks about timing.
We only got about an inch of snow overnight, but it’s the heavy stuff. They are expecting more tomorrow so I’ll just let it pile up until it gets plowed out tomorrow. If it’s not snowing after work, I’ll head to the Y to get my walk in.
Enjoy your day

Good morning Joyce, thanks for starting us up every day. I really appreciate it. How is your eye today? Hope it is feeling better. Did you get snow? Seems like a lot of the northeast is getting some snow. Just rain for my sons. Good job on getting your steps in daily. Good job on the weight loss. Hope the young man likes his new position and at least tries to do some work.
Ruth, sorry to hear about your messed up day. Hopefully you will be able to stay on a good sleep schedule. My older sister, who is almost a hoarder, helped one of our cousins downsize her possessions so she could go in an independent living place. Our cousin said that 2 of her daughters had come over to help her but they felt she should take everything, and my cousin knew there wasn’t room. My sister didn’t have the same sentimental attachments to things and was able to help our cousin with decisions. Hope you have a good result when you help your friend. Did DS make it to Mara’s dance class?
Busy fun day yesterday. We went out to dinner with friends and then back to their place for cards. I do have to go back to the drug store today. I think the medicine I picked up yesterday doesn’t have enough pills for the month. Sometimes it is easier to talk to a person in person than try to do it over the phone. I will go after bocce.

Good late morning all. Woke to -13 (feels like -30!) this morning! Glad we don’t have to go out until later this afternoon to return Mara. Meeting DIL after her therapy appt. Then a stop at the grocery store to pick up a few things and something to make for dinner. Then hockey to watch!!!
WTG on the great WI Joy!!! 🎉🎊👏👏👏🎊🎉 That is great!!! You are right about the exercise helping. They say weight loss happens in the kitchen, but it’s also calories in / calories used! And you need exercise to use them up, at least I do!!! We are going back to meetings on Sundays or Wednesdays with our old leader. Going to start this Sunday morning. And hopefully we can start back to the Y soon. Silver Sneakers classes and all.
Dottie, DS didn’t make it. Told him not too. It was getting cold (below zero) and the wind was blowing snow around and making visibility bad by the time we left. He had a longer trip home than we did, so no need for him to go. And Papa had fun doing it with her. He’s not a dancer, but it’s not really a dance class, so it was all good. I heard some screeching / screaming from the class and was afraid it was Mara mis-behaving. Turned out it wasn’t, it was her friend Salem!!! Little girl about the same age. And when Salem decides to bolt and do her own thing, Mara follows. Last night was unusual because Papa was with Mara and Salem’s daddy was with her and that’s the first time I’ve ever seen him. A really young guy!! Looks younger than Salem’s mommy. Funny one week Mara was throwing fits before we left to go to dance and then was fine there. On the way out, Salem was throwing a bloody fit and her mom was struggling to carry her out. She looked kind of sheepish, and I told her, “we had the same reaction to getting here”!!! It’s their age! She looked grateful for a common bond!!! I’m not going to condemn anyone! Kids are hard at any age!!!
Your evening sounds like so much fun! We need to get together with friends more!! Several go away for parts of the winter too so that makes it harder. Meshing schedules is difficult sometimes.
Ok, I need to get dressed and get going on a few things before we have to take Mara to her mom. Have a good day all.
