Good morning all. Lisa, your vacation sounds positively stellar. Aren't the zeriscapes with native plants gorgeous? Suzanne, I have a lot of troubles from my RA. I have a severe case of it and it tends to target joints in the hands and feet. Sigh, what can I do. Daily Affirmation - I am productive and good at my job. Fitness Report - Saturday was some Margaret Richard and Kundalini yoga; Sunday was a gym workout and more Kundalini yoga. Health Goal - strength workout tonight, salad and turkey sandwich for lunch, fruit for snacks. Gratitude - working where I do. Waves to Michelle, Carol and anyone who joins us.

Good Afternoon, Angels:
Looks like there is a snowstorm heading our way. Pat, you're in the bullseye with blizzard warnings?? We here in central NY will get snow but, from what the noon forecaster said, it won't be anything we aren't used to - which I am taking to mean not multiple-inches per hour.
Pat: I didn't realize it was the RA that was affecting your feet. I knew you had RA. I am so sorry. Have you tried acupuncture? I don't think it cures RA, but could reduce your symptoms. I suspect it would be a weekly course of treatment and, eventually, a 'tune-up' now and then (that's how my acupuncturist refers to it). I'm only saying that based on my own experiences. My allergies are virtually nonexistent. I used to do the allergy-injection-routine, years ago. Acupuncture has really changed the overall health of my body. It truly is amazing. Of course, I have a wonderful acupuncturist. Over the years, she has helped me with many things. The byproduct of the ongoing treatment is superior health. I know you have wonderful practitioners, and they could probably make referrals, but I would be happy to check with my acupuncturist to see if she has a good recommendation for someone in your area. (You can tell I think highly of her; and I am really fussy about my providers.)
Carol, I hope you've recovered from the wind storms!
Greetings to all who pass by.

Fitness Goal: Tai Chi class
Health Goal: continue to work on my MBS balance in life
Gratitude: for good friends and family

Suzanne, I have tried acupuncture and Chinese medicine, too. Acupuncture helps me with a lot of things but alas, not the RA. Alternative remedies that have helped include eradicating wheat and eggs, strictly curtailing dairy (perhaps an ounce of cheese once weekly), getting exercise and my Kundalini yoga or Qigong practices. Also turmeric and ProMega fish oil supplements from my naturopath. Alas, what I'm having addressed is joint damage that started many years ago. I like your affirmation today.

Rats, Pat! I was hoping you'd say you hadn't tried it yet. Although, I'm not surprised to hear you say you have tried acupuncture since you utilize a wide array of therapies.
I have joint damage in my big toe joints from many years dancing on my toes (ballet, that is). At one point, i was referred to an orthopedic surgeon who specialized in feet. But the only option would be to fuse the joint so I could no long bend that joint. I did not opt for the surgery. The arthritis in those joints is much better now. I think the improvement is from not having to wear shoes as much (work from home versus office). Maybe the acupuncture even helped. That only just occurred to me!
Whats your snowfall forecast?
