This is a thread devoted to those in their 50s & 60s and beyond who don't have children or grandchildren but live rich, full lives. Please feel free to join our stroll thru life and come back often for support and to share. ************************* Good luck to Bob and you today, Linda.
Karen, I hope the tummy is more settled today. You have busy one lined up. Lonestar wrapped that storyline up quicker than I thought they would.
Kathy, I was wondering what the picture was, too. I haven’t seen any trees like that. The closest we have to that is the willow that likes to grow near water.
Becky, I am glad you had a couple of good days before the pain returned full on. I hope today is a good one.
Liz, I hope St Crazy hasn’t driven you round the bend this week ad that your knees a d hios are behaving. When do you go back to the dentist?
It is raining now but we are expecting up to an inch of snow. Some of my bulbs already poked their leaves out of the ground because of the warmer weather.

Chele, thanks for the start. The cypress trees are pretty strange looking. This is a pair of them that were growing close together. It's been pouring most of the day. Did you get any snow? We're supposed to get stormy weather later tonight and then we'll have four days of winter as the weatherguessers put it. Winter = highs in the 60s, lows in the 40s.
I'm finishing packing up stuff for the AmVets and have to put the stuff out early tomorrow. I'll be glad to get rid of it!
Karen, hope you had safe travels and a good MG class.
Linda, hope all went well with Bob.
Waving to Liz and Becky.

Thanks for the start, Chele. You've had a wet winter. Did you get some snow? We have daffodils poking their little heads out and we're expecting below freezing temps over night. They are expecting snow in the mountains. I agree on Lonestar. I figured Michelle wouldn't know anything til the end of the season--or is that almost here? Wonder if it will get renewed for a 2nd season.
Linda, I hope Bob is doing as well as can be expected. I know you are exhausted after your long day. There's nothing that can tire one out as much as sitting around a hospital. How did Micki do by himself?
Cool avatar, Kathy. I can see it now that you have explained it. Cypress trees are pretty gnarly. So you're finally getting some "winter" weather. Enjoy it, if the weatherguessers are correct. It's always a satisfying feeling to pare down what you no longer need.
Liz, things have to be nuts there, even if you don't have any covid19 cases at the moment. I hope you have enough PPE ordered for all your staff. A lot of that is manufactured in China, so that has to be creating some supply chain issues. How are you doing?
Congrats on the recent normal range BP readings, Becky. I hope they will continue. Are you charting them so you can show the ortho's office that you're good to go for the surgery?
Tummy is a bit more settled but I didn't push it. I made chili this morning that I can eat in a day or two when I think my system can handle it. It's usually better after the first day anyway. It definitely has been busy a busy day and part of a busy week. I got 2 entries submitted for MG state awards. We have falling temps and I hope the roads won't be icy in the morning. I don't want to miss another Osteo session.

Thanks for the start Chele.I have learned to appreciate the good days and just push through the bad ones. The weather has been crazy this winter for sure.I hope you are feeling well.
Linda I hope Bob's surgery went well.I know you are exhausted after a long day.
Karen The ortho's office doesn't know I have HBP since my pre-op with the surgeon isn't until next Wednesday.Seton called today and wanted to send me a link to their mobile care. It's an app that had 1 short video explaining the knee replacement and another one from a doctor mostly saying how not to compare your recovery with anyone else's and more or less what to expect after.I agree on the chili being better after the first day.Tonight was our 3rd night on the chili and it tasted so good.Austin is supposed to get down to 32 so we will probably be lower than that.We had a low of 39 and a high of 54 but with wind gusts up to 40 MPH it was too cold for me outside.Scooter stayed in most of the day but the wind isn't as bad now so she went outside for awhile.I have been seeing on my FB feed where there is some kind of osteo place in Austin and yesterday I got a form in the mail from my NP wanting me to get a bone density test. That will have to wait.I also got a call from the gastro place about scheduling an office visit so I can have a colonoscopy.I told them I was going to have surgery in a couple of weeks and they said that was okay because they were scheduling for June anyway.
Waving to Kathy and Liz.
