What on earth is wrong with some people? This lady, who probably does not have the virus, deliberately coughed on $35,000 worth of food in a grocery store causing it to have to be thrown away. Why would someone do this? She's arrested, which she totally deserves. There are so many people not taking this seriously, but to deliberately destroy food makes no sense whatsoever. Did she think this was funny? www.cnn.com/2020/03/26/us/woman-coughed-on-produce-trnd/index.htmlSpeaking of food, my pantry is full and we are blessed, but when I picked up my order today from Kroger I probably only got 40-50% of what I had ordered. Lots of menu changes are going to have to be made, but we have food and no reason to complain. Anyone know of a good substitute for milk in baking such as cornbread? I had planned to make vegetable beef soup again soon, and we like cornbread with that. I have everything but milk. If I can't think of a substitute we'll just have crackers. That's definitely a first world problem. Update: According to Google I can just make it with water instead of milk.

Why would someone do this? Because human beings can, and many times are, rude, crude, and indifferent.
Humans are the only species, that I know of, who kill their own kind because of religious or political beliefs. We believe we are the pinnacle of a God's creation, but we are also the creature who created that story.
We don't have that herd instinct like other Beings. We are also stupid and cruel. We believe we're the most intelligent species because we can drive a car, but we also drive drunk.
Why do humans do stupid things? Because they can.

nashville11, I think she was taken in for a mental evaluation. I hope she was only deranged and not evil.

Joyce, if you can find dry milk powder, you could keep some of that on hand when you don't have milk.

I remember when I was young she always had that on hand for cooking. I meant to include some of that on my order, but completely forgot it. Writing it on my list now so hopefully I will remember next time around. Thanks!

President Donald Trump says heâs willing to help blue-state governors who are struggling to contain coronavirus outbreaks â but only if theyâre willing to stop criticizing him in exchange. âItâs a two-way street,â Trump told Fox News on Tuesday. âThey have to treat us well, also. They canât say, âOh, gee, we should get this, we should get that.ââ -- www.vox.com/2020/3/25/21193803/trump-to-governors-coronavirus-help-ventilators-cuomo------------- Sooner or later surely I'm going to lose the ability to be shocked by him, but it hasn't happened yet.

I would be willing to stop criticizing him if he stopped saying and doing such idiotic, dangerous, and stupid things.
If we have to deal with this jerk for 4 more years I do not believe America will ever be the same. We will be just another third world country with a deranged dictator at the helm. He is a monster. He does stupid, foolish, and dangerous things.
This isn't a game. He sounds like the spoiled brat that he is. "They say mean things about me. When they say nice things about me, even if it's not true, maybe I'll give them the things they need. But only if they tell me how wonderful I am. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. Take that! And that!"
"I rule! You people drool! I'm the president and you're not. So there."

Isn't that quid pro quo....I think he just got impeached for that, didn't he??!! OMG! How in the world can anyone even think this guy is sane or mentally capable of continuing to lead this country thru this crisis. The Nurses & Doctors on TV today, are practically on their knees pleading with the federal government to step up & help. A few nurses were close to crying.

I have had a hard time finding dry milk powder online. I cleaned out my kitchen cupboards the other day & found a bag of it...LOL It's bit past expiration, but I think it will still be ok if I use it in baking, etc. I should clean my cupboards more often....I also ordered whole egg dry powder for baking & cooking. Eggs are getting scare once in awhile too. The virus is now in two counties away from me (75miles) so, it's creeping into ND & then it will take off running in next couple weeks. I just put in my first online order to our grocery store. DH will pick it up at 6:30 this evening & they will bring to the car. They have special parking spots for pickup since this all started. So, I will see what % of my order I end up with.
I was so mad last night. DS texted me a photo of a Twitter account of Kevin Crammer, ND GOP Senator. He was replying to a tweet of Nancy Pelosi. He actually tweeted...."She is retarded"! OMG As a parent who has a special needs child who grew up having people call him that nasty word, I about lost it. I immediately emailed him asking for a public apology. Like that will ever happen. DS said Crammer than tweeted he meant to say "She is ridiculous" ....ya sure, thats quite a spellcheck mistake....The tweet was later deleted. It just boggles my mind that so many ignorant people are making decisions for all of us & using language like that. I'm sure he will never see my email & what I thought of his tweet & him but it make me feel better, anyway for letting him have it!

@lka48, I know, those two words are SO similar.
I remember the good old days when I would not see this kind of bald faced lying except on Fareed Gakaria's GPS when he would have a Russian or Middle Eastern diplomat on. I used to marvel at their ability to say complete BS with a straight face. Now it's as common as dirt.

@lka48, Linda, I know it makes you feel better to vent your anger to Crammer. It always makes me feel a bit better too when I fire off emails to my senators and representative. Like you, I don't think it accomplishes anything other than making me feel a bit better. But, that's worth something. More people need to do that more often, IMO.
The number here in TN continues to climb, somewhere around 1,000 now depending on what news site you look at, some are reporting a little more and some a little less. I heard earlier today that NY is not expected to reach their peak for another 2-3 weeks. If that's the case, then TN is quite a ways behind them. Our Mayor is taking this seriously, our Republican Governor not as much so but doing something which is better than nothing I suppose. If the JA implements new guidelines relaxing restrictions as he says he's planning to do then we are all in a lot of trouble. The problem still remains that despite restrictions there are a lot of people not following the guidelines. They seem to think they are invincible. This new reality we've found ourselves in has done a couple of things that are paradoxical to each other. For some it has brought forth the very best and made us all realize how we actually are dependent upon each other no matter how self-sufficient we may have thought we were. For others, it has amplified the stupidity and pre-occupation with "self" that seems to have multiplied under this administration. Or maybe it was always there, and this administration just brought it to the forefront. Either way, people need to LISTEN to the experts and FOLLOW their advice.

My mom and dad's former home health nurse now lives in Florida where she is still a home health nurse. She had to go to the grocery today, and the store has big signs up asking customers to keep a 6' distance from each other. She posted that she was in line at the checkout, and the lady comes right up behind her and starts putting her stuff on the conveyor belt too. My friend asked her to please move back and pointed out the sign right beside her. The woman simply replied, "No!" and kept putting her stuff on the belt. Some people are total selfish idiots! I'd be willing to bet the farm that woman voted for Trump.

Did you hear about the woman who was out jogging when someone behind her started getting kind of close so she nicely asked him to keep a distance. He ended up coming up next to her and hitting her hat. I don't remember what all else happened, and I don't know where this was (I think I saw it on our local news) but some other people who were with this jerk also came up alongside the woman and hit her as well. What is WRONG with people!!!!
Found an article about it. It was in San Jose, CA.

luanne, I had not seen that. For some people this brings out the best, for others it is bringing out the absolute worst in humanity.
