Karen, such awful news from Nashville. I'm glad you're okay. We're hitting record highs tomorrow and Thursday, followed by a cold front. That's the kind of thing that can really generate severe weather, so I'll have to keep an eye on it. I was expecting a cliffhanger on Doctor Who too since they almost always end that way, but I wasn't expecting that! It definitely has me intrigued to see how she gets out of this one. On Outlander, I also thought it might be Bonnet in the attic. A lot of what they're doing with Claire and the penicillin wasn't in the books, so I'm not sure how it will turn out. I do remember her quietly trying to develop it, but she didn't run around baking loaves of bread in front of everyone like a lunatic! Also, the stuff with swapping the body out to teach Marsali was not in the books. Liz, I heard there is a 3rd case in FL now and they're saying the man in NY that has it was in Miami. I've told my DM we may be shopping at the Publix north of here instead of the university one. I can only imagine how crazy it must be in your line of work. My last project supported the training exercises in South Korea and we had people traveling to the base there all the time. I'm so glad I don't have to go sit in that open lab, aka germ factory. When I checked my OTC meds, some were several years expired, so it was time for me to stock up anyway. There have been shortages on my contact lens supplies in the past when there was no crisis brewing, so I now have enough to last a few months. One thing that worries me is that my eyes tear easily and I have to blot the tears so they don't run down my face. I try not to actually touch them, but it's hard. WOW on 16.5k steps. My Fitbit would probably die of shock if I ever hit that. Take care and good reminder that this is still flu season. Becky, the CVS guy did make a halfway attempt to sneeze into his sleeve, but he didn't really cover it. I see a lot of that where people raise their arms, but they're not really blocking the sneeze. I think with climate change, they at least need to allow the scientists to study it so we have a better understanding of what's happening and can prepare or make changes if possible. We already have parts of South Florida where the roads flood with the tides and I heard that the Keys told one neighborhood they would no longer be maintaining the road to their island due to constant flooding. The warming waters affect our hurricane seasons too. You're doing really good to get your mile in each day. The raised toilet seats sound like a good idea, but it makes sense to wait and see what they say at your Wednesday appt. Hope the appointment goes well.
Waving to Chele and Linda.

Chele, I hope GF will get some counseling, too. She has had a difficult 5 or 6 years with many challenges, and this just heaps on one more challenge, but one that is probably more difficult than the others. Did DN and hubby know they were having a boy? They already have a daughter, correct, or am I thinking of the wrong DN?
Record highs followed by a cold front, Kathy? Geez! We had some really nasty rain for most of the morning and there were a couple of places with kinda high water across the road but I made it through. We're getting pretty significant winds right now, but I don't think we are expecting any tornadoes. I was watching TWC at the gym this morning and the pictures from Nashville were almost surreal. I figured the penicillin must be in the books, so I'll be interested to see where this is heading. They did some major diversions on The Walking Dead, and that has worked out so far. I have to say that the fresh bread did look good, but not so much for the moldy stuff. Burying rocks instead of the body could also come back to haunt her. I know it's a relief to have a good supply of contact lenses, especially since they can be difficult to come by under less significant circumstances.
Linda, how is Bob doing? Didn't he have a follow up today? Are you and Micki able to do a.m. walks? I hope he's not getting you up too early.
I know you and your hospital are geared up well for Covid-19, Liz, and I hope you can keep your folks well protected with PPE. Some stores had supplies of hand sanitizer today, but I didn't find the wipes I like to keep in the car, so I'm still on the lookout. Still no active cases so far in TN, but one of the people who tested positive on the Diamond Princess came home yesterday and is supposed to be "cured".
Becky, good luck tomorrow at your pre-op. Do you have a neighbor or church person taking you? How has your BP been? I would take a list of your good readings in the event it's high at the appointment.
Well, I had a first happen to me today on the way to vote. I got pulled over for speeding. Never had that happen in 50+ years of driving. I was on a straight stretch and traffic was very light, and I apparently wasn't paying attention to the speedometer. The deputy said I was going "about 70", which I was surprised about, although I know my car does have a bit of power. He just gave me a warning so no harm no foul. Dale is calling me a criminal. I had a good workout at AF and seemed to be about the only person using sanitizing wipes and I was diligent about it. That diligence continued at Lowe's Home Improvement, Aldi, and Food City. I even used hand sanitizer after I got back into the car after voting. After I post this, I have a newsletter to proof and it should be dinner time by then. Guess I need to figure out what I'm going to have with my salad.

Kathy, it has been years since I have worn contacts due to allergies. Are the gas permeables the hard ones?
Karen, lucky on just a warning. Speeding tickets are expensive. DN and her DH knew it was going to-be a boy. They have a son who will be 3 in May. The DN who lived with us briefly is the one who had the little girl in August.
Becky, how is it going today?
Linda, I hope the patient is still doing well.
Liz, I would have them knock me out, too, if I had to have 10 teeth pulled.
Take care, all.

Karen, I thought the fresh bread looked good too until she started throwing water on it, lol. You're lucky to have just gotten a warning! I'm sure that startled you to get pulled over. My one ticket was for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign near my work building. It was a dead end stop sign on a 30mph road with a pond on one side and a parking lot on the other. I actually thought I had stopped, but a cop herded everyone that went through it into a parking lot and gave all of us tickets. Chele, yes, the gas perm contacts are the harder ones. They're more flexible than the old style hard ones and let more oxygen in, so they're supposed to be healthier for your eyes and less prone to allergies. I wish I could ditch them, but my vision isn't sharp with glasses. I stocked up on saline and soaking solution this week, not the actual contacts. I usually only buy one pair of contacts a year from the doctor and have a couple of pairs of backup lenses.
The hawk I've been seeing decided to perch on a post between my yard and my neighbor's yard. It used to have a "No Trespassing" sign for the pond, but the sign blew away during one of the hurricanes. It looks much better this way.

Thanks for the start Karen.I'm glad you are okay.
Kathy Wow on record temps. We have hit a few of those this winter also.It was up to 75 and really humid today. We are expecting t-storms after midnight.I just hope it's not pouring when it's time to leave tomorrow. We are supposed to have a couple of mornings in the 40's over the next week but highs in 60's and 70's.I don't blame you for wanting to shop at the other Publix.I agree with you on climate change. Thanks for the good wishes.
Karen Those pictures of Nashville looked awful.I'm glad you didn't have any flooding and no tornado. Thanks for the good wishes.Kenneth can drive to Round Rock. It's just the hospital we have needed help with.We have friends lined up to take us the day of surgery and a neighbor and her housekeeper will come pick me up.I think Kenneth will stay home the second day I'm in there and do some things in the house to make it easier for me to get around and also get it ready for when PT comes for 3 weeks after surgery.I have forgotten to take my BP the last 2 days. They never take my BP when I see the surgeon so I don't think I need to do anything except asking him if I can keep taking the med up until the day of surgery.Starting tomorrow I can't take any more vitamins or supplements until after I come home. You were lucky to get a warning instead of a ticket.LOL on Dale calling you a criminal.
Chele I seemed to be hurting more today especially after a walk plus we went to Bastrop to sign our tax returns and shop in the big HEB Plus they have there. How are you doing today?
My DN had her bad kidney removed this morning. Her mom said surgery went well but she was in a lot of pain and heavily drugged. She wanted this done so she would be cancer free.Hopefully soon that will be the case.
