June our leader is asking all to get into the 'blue dot challenge'. I track in the weight watcher journal and also online for the wins. I'm not really into blue dots as much as GHG's I guess it could be one and the same. I don't always look to see the dots on my phone. She said it was a visual of how your efforts are paying off. Just like in the old journals they had the boxes to check off the GHG's. Same concept I guess. For me, old habits die hard So that's the scoop on that. Great decision to get rid of most of the brisket. That is far too tempting Glad you enjoyed and are shopping for healthy choices. Time for coffee before the oil dude gets here. It won't be 'happy' if I am coffee free

Good morning all - regular work day. I have a BIG Walmart grocery order that will be ready for pick up late this evening. Randy and I will enjoy an early dinner out and then pick it up and head home. The weekend will be laid back other than house cleaning and clerical work at the church. Ann, enjoy time catching up with your friends...I do love seafood! I also had the munchies last night I must do better today! Bee, I bet the ducks will be relaxing to watch...enjoy. Becky, glad you got those good walks but be careful with that knee. Don't want to get it flared up before surgery time. June, a good idea to pass on that brownie. The weather is not so bad if the rain would just give us a break. It looks like it will for the next few days but man is the ground soggy. Great goals! Audrey, KOKOing with you. Indian sounds good. Cathy, I am joining you in doing better. MJ, will say an extra prayer for Mousketeer for sure. Susi, that meal you mentioned had my mouth watering - give us a review Prayers for your DB cont.

Oil dude still isn't here yet. I had to make a call into them to ask if he is going to show up! Come to find out 2 people were without heat and he had to take care of them first. Yes, I GET IT...however a call from THEM would have been appreciated! Carl is now out walking miss LuLa as she was waiting patiently at the door LOL...Gotta love her for that No use in me getting my draws in a twist over something that I have no control over. I shall wait for him to show. In the meantime our friends called and asked if we could meet later. 6ish works well for us also. Time to do some 'house walking' Thanks for letting me vent!

Good luck with your furnace and enjoy the seafood with your friends. Bee - Enjoy your ducks Good job on the walking Becky. Let the countdown continue. June - Good plan for the day. Good to give away the brisket but glad you enjoyed some. Brownies and chocolate chip cookies are serious red flags for me. Love Indian. Enjoy Audrey Hope today is better Cathy. Do you have water back yet? Enjoy your last LA Fitness training. Several friends are happy with the price and training at Planet Fitness if you still want to use a gym. Sorry the Mouseketeer is having a relapse. Anything in particular trigger it? LaDonna - Enjoy your dinner out. I have made/tasted everything but the Skinnytaste falafels before and it's very good. The falafels look a little dry but we'll see. When Frankie stays, I put the cat food bowls on the dining room table. Well, he has finally figured out how to get them off so to the laundry room they will go. At least there was no clean up since he ate everything! I plan on calling my brother tonight for an update. Also my dad's cousin to see how the new live in help is working out. Otherwise it will be a nice, quiet night.

Susi (((hugs))) Good luck with your phone calls. Keeping DB and your dad's cousin in my prayers. Happy there was no clean up involved.
Well oil dude finally made it. He's a nice guy and does good work.
Once he's gone I'll finish doing a few household chores. Carl has to seal the Italian sausage that he made up the other day and I'd like to get to Hannaford's for a few things that I forgot to pick up. Nothing that can't wait.
Later.

Went grocery shopping with BFF.
Bought a bag lemon plums. Ate one. It doesn't taste lemony to me. BUT it wasn't bad.

Sorry the Mouseketeer is having a relapse. Anything in particular trigger it? The only thing different is that wrestling season is over and he no longer has 2-3 nights a week of hand-to-hand skirmishing "with rules". He does have basketball but it's not enough. Baseball starts up in April. Funny thing was, I was teasing the Mice yesterday that they were going to start running laps in the back yard before school. 5:24 AM surprise from Son#1: "I don't want to go to work. I might take pto and sleep at your house." And so he did, coming in at 6 AM as usual, and getting tucked in, in the guest room. He was gone by the time we got back from the MousekeHouse but he did bring in the recycle can from the curb. That means no afternoon DivaTaxi, so something OFF the list. LA-F was good. We went up in weight on most of the machines in my swan-song session. And I did a 5-minute low-bench plank. Next week I will have my chair yoga and will look at the other Senior Center offerings (Diva don't do zumba). I also need to find out if Senior Center stuff continues through the summer or goes on hiatus. Gray-and-rainy is here. Time for lunch.

MJ, sending prayers for the Mousketeer. One of Bob's clients used to have the children run to the fence and house back and forth several times a night after dinner to get them tired. Now I understand why they did it. Nora is having trouble at school too. I think the teacher has little patience for her and thinks Nora demands too much attention. She asked Laura if Nora can now be picked up an hour earlier at noon. Well, the three times a week sitter has a class at that time. I can do it my two days but there is a teacher and two aides for 20 children and noon until 1 p.m. is lunch and recess. I think the teacher just doesn't like her. Glad your last session at LAF was good. (((Susi))) keeping your brother and dad's cousin in my prayers. June, smoked brisket sounds so delicious for just one meal but I can understand why you are limiting it to just that. LaDonna, enjoy your laid back weekend. I need to go to Walmart sometime in the next week.
I was part of the munchie eating group last night and it was just before bedtime too. I will try to stay stronger tonight and hope we all have a beautiful weekend.

Ann, glad the oil man finally made it. I bet Carl's sausage is delicious!
Susi, a quiet night sounds like a good plan along with your delicious meal.
Bee, I've never heard of lemon plums. wonder why they are called that if they aren't lemon flavored. I like a good plum every now and then.
MJ, we are finally getting a little sun.
Audrey, most children that age do want a lot of attention. the child to adult ratio sounds like they should be able to make it work for another hour. sounds like the teacher is being a bit unreasonable. Wishing all of us a beautiful weekend also.

MJ good luck with the exercise. Our sun is on another planet right now. At least we don't have rain! I'll take it. Wow Audrey....seems to me that you are spot on. Those teachers should be able to handle those children. LaDonna we are relieved to have the furnace checked out and the water heater replaced. Hopefully that's all the 'household drama' for awhile LOL.
Bee, also never heard of lemon plums. Wonder why they call them that?
Donna came over for a visit. It was nice to see her and sit and chat. Her mom is failing.....she's not doing a thing to help herself and is relying on George (her husband) to do it all now that Donna is not there. Sad situation. Looking forward to seeing our friends later.

Mj Did I miss an earlier Mouseketeer update? Ha ha ha . . Old school idea-- .maybe some old fashion chores might help. He could do something meaningful, enagaging, and physical. Might hit several buttons in one go.
Audrey That's a little hard to hear regarding the teacher's outlook towards Nora. I love to play w/ lil ones.
Ann Yes, a simple call to explain the delay & reset the appt. time would have been the right thing to do. Sigh. . . That is a sad situation for Sheila's entire family. Our coach spent more time talking about the range for healthy eating as opposed to get a "blue dot." She stressed that it's important to develope a pattern of healthy eating. (THought of you all on this thread). She told members that paying attention to blue dots is personal. Some find it helpful, while others do not.
LaDonna Those munchies... when they hit, they can be pretty darn persistent. I have been reaching for an orange and a glass of water. Sometime soon though I eat saltines & crackers w/ an apple. THat is more a mini meal meal. But sometimes it's better for me to have somethingthat sticks otherwise I going into "Hoover vacuum" mode.

Audrey The brisket was a big one. Maybe 15lbs before trimming? R& I like to feed people, so we were pleased to share the brisket. Still have lots leftover, but will freeze much of that to enjoy for future meals.
I have not beenthe right frame of mind to take care of myself. I am, however, there now. R kept too many brownies. . . But they are not callingmy name at this moment. If they do, then I will be okay because he cut them small and I have all 28 weeklies.
Bee I never heard of a lemon plum. Insteresting.

This is it Ladies. Wasn't bad, but not sure I will buy again. Mating a lemon with a plum is almost unnatural. LOL
