Ann, me too! Its so annoying switching back and forth. I also just got back from a walk. Beautiful but windy and cool but actually felt pretty good. June, great tips! I need to pass those on to Homer (my brother's dad) - He came home from hosp this past week. I think he is having a pretty rough time of it. You and R have a great walk Audrey, hope you find some deals

Audrey happy you enjoyed Nora's bday at the park. Happy shopping.
LaDonna with me there is always ONE CLOCK that doesn't change on its own and I forget to hand change....and each time that's the clock I look at!!!! So frustrating.

Bee Am picturing you as a warrior marching forth into the day. Have super Saturday! Do not we know how that goes... Some gremlin tosses stuff into the grocery cart, then its cousin prods us to get rid of the stuff.
Susi Am continuing to pray for Stephen, you,Carol, and all whose care about him. Hope that he can be stabilized to go home andbecomforrbale.
LaDonna Whenever your side dish is roasted vegetables that is a win in my book. Ha ha ha... about that stray fry (and its two buddies) that finds its way into my mouth from your Richard's plate... I figure those are a win-win. I get enough of the taste and dodge a whole serving. Hope you found time for a walk inthe sun.
Ann I was lucky with the walker. R modified mine. R could measured the legs of the walker and drilled extra adjustment holes. Otherwise I would have had to buy a child's walker for $85 through the local med supply store. Maybe for Becky's surgery, the hospital can send her home with a walker that PT has measured.
The federal laws regarding pain pills are tough if your doctor is out of town. Apparently the doctor's RX has to come for the locationof his office or hospital. Now, the dr will send the patient home w/ an RX, but w/ a major surgery 1 run of pills is not enough. R is no wimp. He didn't need to use all the pills for nerve surgeries for his wrists or elbow. His neck was a whole different story. Likewise w/ constipation. An ordinary laxative did not cut it after the neck surgery. I almost bought milk of magnesium.. I should have listened to that little voice.
Audrey How much did Nora love her Barbie dollhouse? Hope you found everything that you need or wanted while grocery shopping.

Okey dokey Need to have a bite to eat before I start dinner. Stir fry -- with shrimp or beef is on the menu. Am thinking shrimp, but will ask R.
we have have a closeout store., Ollie's, near our mall. I looked at a book about Zentangle art the last time I was there. Decided that I want to try my hand at it. Found some very vivid, small collection of oil pastel pencils. I do not like the very busy Zentangles, but I can create ones that I do like. What the hay... it wasn't much $$ and I might enjoy it.

June that sounds like fun. I hope you enjoy it. I have no real talent in those areas, but can so appreciate it Luckily I didn't have a problem getting heavy duty drugs after my double mastectomy. One of the meds they filled right at the hospital and another one Carl picked up at our local pharmacy here in town. As to the other issue....I was told to take MiraLax or any off brand osmotic laxative. I get the Clearlax @ BJ's and put it in my coffee. Meds really mess you up. I can fully understand what R is going through. That last walk I took earlier really did me in. I can't seem to warm up. Think I'll have another cup of tea. Enjoy your supper, June

June I already take a RX for constipation since I have IBS-C and I also have Miralax. The internist I had to see for my pre-op at the hospital said they would give me Miralax in the hospital but she added I might want to bring my RX with me since she didn't think that would work.I know I will be on Hydrocodone when I first come home but I think they use a combination of 3 different pain killers while in the hospital.I clean the LR weekly but this is a deep clean for when the in home PT comes out the first 2 weeks.I am about 3/4 done.It was easier while Kenneth was at the auction.Kenneth will be able to drill holes in the walker for me.I'm 5'3" so it won't need it much shorter and the surgeon said I shouldn't need it long before I am able to transfer to a cane. Thanks for the info.
Ann I'm glad you got a walk in even if it felt cooler. It was cloudy all day until about 5:00 and now we have clear skies.Oh well made it a good day for cleaning. Although I don't like losing an hour of sleep living on a farm we both like daylight savings time. Also it will give Kenneth more time by time he gets home on the day of my surgery. He will stay long enough for me to get in a room and bring me my things then our friend will bring him home so he can do his afternoon work with the cattle.
Audrey I hope you enjoyed Nora's bday at the park.

Ann There is only one clock we have to change so it's not so bad for us.
June I'm hoping since I will stay at least one night and from what I hear they get you up walking that first night that they will be able to modify one for me.The surgeon already asked me if I have one.I already left the RX for Hydrocodone at the pharmacy and we will pick them up Monday to have on hand.He also wants me to take aspirin for a blood thinner.
Susi I hope and pray Stephen can do well with the oxygen.

Toots went to The Plantation. I had a text exchange with Son#1 that meant different things to each of us, and stayed home <small grrr>.
I've changed all but the three alarm clocks. Toots can mess with them when he gets home. We don't have to be up early.

Becky I can see where you and Kenneth like daylight savings time. Glad you have only one clock to change.
MJ sorry you didn't get to the Plantation. This time I'm letting Carl deal with the changing.
