What can you do today to be healthy in your mind, body, and spirit?

I can do better than I did yesterday! * Journal accurately * Write before I bite * Hit the GHGs/exchanges * Walk 30 minutes
Last night I faded at 8:30. I decided that if I can stay up reading till 3am some nights I can also go to bed early other nights. I slept from a bit before 9 till a bit after 7 last night. I woke refreshed and am eager for the day. Yesterday was dark most of the day then in the afternoon thunderstorms swept in and boomed in the sky. Today the sun is out and I look forward to a warm shower this afternoon.
ANN: What did you end up eating when you went out with Carl? What is the blue dot challenge? Hope the furnace worker arrived eventually. Your meal with friends sounds tasty. I look forward to having fish and chips in England and salmon in Scotland this summer!
BEE: We used to have ducks - loved their eggs! The Mallard and Peking cross-bred with the Muscovy ducks and the hybrid ducks always flew away and no doubt became dinner for hunters. We also had chickens. When the last of them died/disappeared we did not replace them I looked up lemon plums...seems they get there name from color and shape but really are just from the prune/plum family.
BECKY: Hope you were able to get in some walks without too much pain.
JUNE: How was the WW meeting and walk in the mall? I have not heard of the book by Lara Prescott but looked the title up on NetGalley and 8 books with the same title have been listed to read/review over the past years. There are a few other historical novels that have come up that sound similar in plot but haven't read this one. It sounds like "R" is enjoying baking and cooking and candy making! I like the idea of a routine/pattern of eating for weight loss and maintenance. In the past I have had go-to meals that repeated frequently...hmm...
AUDREY: I hope you enjoy your quieter day. How horrible to have a teacher that does not like a student. I remember mom saying my sister had one when in elementary school - said my sister must have reminded the teacher of the woman her husband had cheated with or something...never did understand mom's reasoning. Does Nora feel the tension? What does she say about her time with the teacher and aids? I wonder if Nora's mother (or you) should go to the person above the teacher or make a written complaint?
MJ: Hope the lab results for DS1 are shared soon and that Mouseketeer's behavior thing works out...was wondering if it could be related to spring allergens...if it is spring-like there. It sure is here and there are flowers blooming and all sorts of things in the air. Ah...just read that it might have to do with not enough physical activity? Does he take martial arts or boxing or anything like that?
LADONNA: I have never ordered groceries to pick up...it must be nice to be able to do so. What did you have for dinner while out with your husband?
SUSI: The broken pipe in the solar heater on the roof was easily replaced BUT no sun till today. My fear now is that the calcification will have built up and when water flows through (or tries to) it will plug and no showers will happen till Monday when the worker can come out and run chlorox through the pipes to clean them. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen as it has in the past.
PAM: KOKO!

Cathy, I shall join you in doing better than I did yesterday. Shopped at a new grocery store and just went nuts. LOL
The plum was good, I just expected it to have a lemony taste as it is called a lemon plum.
I shall go forth conquering! My AWARE glasses are firmly in place. My shoes of ABILITY are on my feet. And my scarf of Willing is wrapped around my neck. I am dressed for the Food wars!
I ate all the stuff I bought that I shouldn't have eaten, yesterday.
Hope AWF have a great day!

Good morning, Cathy - Bee - and AWF!!!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... and for Son#1 as we wait for the bloodwork results (to see if his liver enzymes are back to normal).
THANK YOU for your prayers for the Mouseketeer, whose behavior had suddenly taken a turn for "like last year" but who had a GOOD DAY yesterday (he brought home a "good surprise" - a note from his teacher saying that it had been a good day after Thursday's debacle).
Audrey, I think that asking for Nora to be removed from lunch/recess is verging on the ridiculous for several reasons, one of which is that it means the child will not have a regular schedule if you get her two days and the other three days she stays.
ππ΅ππππ΅π.
Day's going to start off gray but get sunny; temps in the 40s.
WW workshop at 8 AM; monthly weigh-in. Scrambly day to follow. At least one of us will be on duty at The Plantation beginning at 4 PM, but we are awaiting an update from Son#1 to see if there's anything needed here. The Kressling is "bagging" with the band at ShopRite this afternoon and we are trying to figure out timing for him to be here since the parade is on Sunday.
Yesterday? LA-F went well in our final session. We went up on weight on most of the machines and it was a full hour. Toots & I moved some laundry around at the MousekeHouse to give MissMouse a leg up on the weekend. The Kressling came after school but went home at 4:30; DDIL took him to soccer last night so we got to relax and watch ARCA racing (like baseball "farm teams" for NASCAR).
No breakfast until after weigh-in, so I'm deciding what I will take with me... there's always the bagel shop next door to the WW studio... <ahem>...
And only one mug of coffee until after weigh-in... βββ... it's my usual practice, but <oy>...
ππ·ππ·ππ·ππ·π Have a healthy-eating day, all! ππ·ππ·ππ·ππ·π

Happy Saturday all. Another good night of cutting Z's Refreshed and ready to face the day. Be sure to remember to 'spring ahead' Have fun at your meeting, MJ and good luck. I vote for the bagel shop next door Bee LOL to dressing for the food wars Good luck today in putting the right step forward. I'm with you, girlfriend! Cathy excellent goals for today. I especially like hitting the GHG's which I still consider the backbone of the program regardless of the color purple green or blue. Blue dot challenge is on your WW app....each day you are within your 'points' you earn a blue dot. I believe you can go under or over by so many but not sure of that specific amount. The gal we went with is also a weight watcher. We both had a cup of veggie chili and split a veggie calzone. Very filling and tasty. Both Roger and Carl had fish and chips. Cathy thanks for getting us started. Today I shall PTMH. I picked up a top round roast and lots of veggies so that will be supper. Waving and wishing all a wonderful Saturday!

Today will be OP no exceptions. We had Fri night dinner at a restaurant and I ordered a cuban sandwich with roasted veggies as my side. The sandwich was good but not OP I am sure. The Walmart order was ready to go when we got there. I mostly stocked up on cleaning products and toiletries. I got some food items as well. We dont usually buy meat from Walmart but I did get some frozen chicken breasts. Today will be cleaning and hanging out at the old homestead. The sun is shining so an outdoor walk will b in order Cathy, your goals for today sound like mine. We can do this. Bee, glad you got the munchies out of the way - I'm planning on making a pan of roasted veggies today to help keep me in check. MJ, good luck at WI. Will you renew your sessions at LA-F? Ann, I also rested well. I'm so ready to spring ahead. Sorry you didn't get to eat at the seafood restaurant last night but glad you got to get together with friends I stole one of Randy's french fries during our meal last night

LaDonna I'll join you in a walk and an OP day. Your meal I bet was tasty.
I'm happy to report no weight change after eating out. Just because things appear healthy there are always hidden fats and sodium added to the mix.

Cathy Great goals.I'm glad the sun is out.We had 2 beautiful days of sunshine and today it's cloudy.I was able to walk last 2 days. The knee itself wasn't hurting but the muscles around it did.
Bee A great way to start the day.
MJ I'm glad CJ had a better day yesterday.Enjoy your WW workshop.
Ann Glad you slept well.Dinner sounds good.
LaDonna I'm glad your sun finally came out.It looks like it's going to be cloudy all day here.I was spoiled by the 2 beautiful days we had.Enjoy your walk.
I am planned and tracked. Will keep hydrated but not sure of the walk yet.It will be warm enough this afternoon but I need to start a deep clean of the LR so I will have plenty of room for a walker when I come home from the hospital next week.
Have a great day all.

Good late morning. I went back to bed after feeding the ferals and taking Frankie home. I just got up, had coffee and finished breakfast I did not talk to Stephen last night. He is still in hospital and still having trouble breathing. They removed 6 liters of water and he is still retaining. They may send him home tomorrow with oxygen. She will keep me posted. I'll call Irma later today. I need to vacuum, tidy up the kitchen and do some prep cooking. My Misfits box included a few onions and I have a ton in the pantry so a huge vat of caramelized onions will happen. I'll also cook the peppers so that I can make sausage/pepper/onions and other meals for the week. Both are extremely versatile. The mangoes and 2 apples went to Carol. Cathy - Good for you. Sometimes an early night it is good thing. Bee - Go forth and conquer! MJ - Glad the Mouseketeer had a good day. I guess finding lots of physical activity for him is key. Enjoy your quieter day and have fun at the plantation. Ann - Love top round roast, nice and rare with veggies. One of my favorite meals. Glad you slept well. Sorry you didn't get to your restaurant but still had fun with your friends. LaDonna - There is a local seasonal restaurant that makes the BEST Cuban sandwich. It's definitely 2-3 meals! Becky - Hope you can get the house in order to make your life easier after surgery. Will PT come to your home?

I've already accomplished a ton of stuff around the house. Did bathroom duties kitchen duties dusted and no need to do laundry so I'll let that ride. I also have a pot of veggie/bean soup in the crock pot for the week.
I took a short hood walk earlier. It was sunny, but windy and felt cold to me. I may venture out later on. As for right now, I just want to relax.
Susi keeping your DB Stephen in my prayers. I hope he does well at home with the oxygen. ((hugs)) Glad you'll be kept up to date. Have fun preparing the veggies for the week. I'm sure Carol will appreciate the mangoes and apples. Nice of you to share.
Becky very wise decision to get your living room all set up for when you return home from the hospital. ((hugs))
Well, I'm going to get a move on. Can't believe it's already afternoon! This day is just flying by.
Waving and will CBL

Taking a break while the floors dry. The house is smelling so good and clean.
Ann, good job with the scale this morning. Saturdays always fly as does the whole weekend for me. Plus we lose an hour this weekend so there is that too.
Becky, great idea to get the LR ready for post surgery. Sorry about your cloudy day.
Susi, I used to get a veg/fruit basket from our special ed dept. It was part of their curriculum to go to the local farmers market and purchase things for the baskets, fill them and deliver them to the buyers. They are doing something different this year called Ground central station. Its a coffee shop at the high school where they sell coffee to the staff. The cuban sandwich was only one serving but you could tell the bread had been grilled in butter and there was some sauce on it that was very good. I pray Stephen will be helped with the oxygen.

Becky Great to get the living room ready. Will make your return home easier.
I thought of some things that R and I learned the very hard way about pain killers, walkers, and laxatives. Ask about the federal guidelines for dispensing pain melds and refills. I had to drive over an hour trick up R's refill from the office from which te surgeon worked. R had to sign a letter giving me authorization. Regular walkers are for adults at least 5'4". If you are shorter, you need a child.s walker. R measured and drilled holes in mine to fit me. Milk of magnesium gets the "job" done when Ducolex or Senkol does not. More afford, too.

Cathy Thx for getting us started. Great goals for the day! Bet that extra rest and warm shower both felt so good.
Ann Your dinner out sounds liike a tasty meal that was a little different. Yep. Restaurant chefs add he extra salt and butter. So the water weight shows up on the scale. Glad you digs he sodiumhit.
Mj Congrats on completing your LA F stintand seeing noticeable results. Yay for CJ. Bless his lil heart. Nice that you two could catch an event on the race car circuit. You might like the movie, Racing the Rain, about a race car driver and his dog. Lil bits of a tear jerker.
Audrey, Pam, LaDonna, Susi, Bee.... will be back later. R is willingto go for a walkwme but is ready NOW? Will be back later for more personals.

LaDonna I wish they would just leave the clocks alone lol. Never a fan of losing an hour sleep.
June those are good points. Never had to use a walker. I shall file that information away in case I need it myself or perhaps pass it on
Just came back from a walk. Suffice to say that sunshine is definitely deceiving.
